‘Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.'-Margaret MeadWe are inspired by those w
This is such a rad song.. love love love it! Just want to bop along...
This song has been on my heart and mind this week... as I was walking my dogs two nights ago, singing into the wind, I was thinking about these words as they escaped from my lungs and rushed down fields and up into the Heavens..
‘....through it all, through it all, it is well, it is well with my soul’
I just thought about the deep love and joy I have felt in my heart since my walk with my Father has intensified, and how He has carried me through everything, and let’s just say without getting into detail of exactly what ‘everything’ entails - that it has held much loss and sadness - BUT that in Him I have found such deep joy, the joy that surpasses circumstances and holds me in absolute peace and deep gratitude regardless of anything happening on the outside. That THROUGH IT ALL - IT IS WELL - IT IS WELL, WITH MY SOUL....
Now when I struggle with my stuff, I press into Him instead of of doing what I want with resentment or excuses when I KNOW it is not from Him. I now MOVE INTO HIM, with such Faith - that He strengthens me to do all thing. I just know without doubt that His desires and blessings for my life so hugely outshine any of the little plans I have. Often we forget that we cannot see the destruction that our own road leads to - as pretty as it looks when we stand at the fork looking down ‘my way’ - which so often (falsely of course) promises to fulfil all our desires and heal all our hurts.
I have learnt to trust and know that His Way is the ONLY way I wish for my life.
“Far be it from me to not believe, even when my eyes can’t see...And this mountain that’s in front of me, will be thrown into the midst of the sea....’
Praise God!
“Maybe stop trying so hard to find shortcuts to “hack” your life. The best things are hard. Invest in the journey. Just …
This is seriously incredible.
Wow. So so beautiful...
This is pretty darn cool... yes it is small, but it is functional, beautiful, debt free (!) and look at the surrounding nature! Love it!
My band crush at the moment.. oh my - how amazing is his voice. Love.
Wow. This is so beautiful. Touches deep. Ugly crying.

Alain Loves Celeste.
What an honour it was to be a part of the decor team on this incredible wedding. It being that of my cousin Alain (who is more like a brother to me) and his amazing now wife (YAY) Celeste made the whole experience so much more intense (and nerve wracking)! I may have had one or two (or maybe three) inadequacy-wobbles the night before whilst prepping the flowers, but in the end it all came together so beautifully. As it had to for this couple.
The love they have for one another is that rare kind - when two people totally just blossom in each other’s presence. The kind that makes both people the best they can be, and it is easy, no without boundaries, because there is the bar of being your best, but it is in that space that love rises so strong and pure and whole that it is the most natural thing in the world. Right there.
I will remember this special day as long as I breathe. And look forward to being there alongside the married journey with these two particularly precious souls whom I love so dearly.
It’s ones like these that make you believe in love and magic and miracles. And it’s so good to believe!
Enjoy.

Some Things To Remember!
My mom's been sending me some old mails we wrote one another when I lived in France - very cool to read through them, see the journey that life has taken, the growth, the unexpected turns and how much I have changed on this journey. Very happy for that - sometime the tough times truly are our biggest personal blessings.
In one of the mails - there was this message - and reading through this again today I am reminded of some truths and also of how much I have to be grateful for. Love you life, every day - no matter how good or bad that moment is. Just LOVE your life, and eventually, it'll start loving you back.
Have a beautiful Christmas and New Year.

#stuffonscoutshead - it’s beginning to feel a lot like the holidays.
Happy Dec people! Here's Scout helping us feel festive!
So I was thinking about this the other day - about when I lived in France - how the sun was something that I missed desperately - and it definitely made me depressed - so I thought if I ever had to live in Europe again (or have another Cape winter like this year!) - then I would invest on 'those sun-lights' - and get one in my home (although I don't know that I could afford it - haven't researched it properly - was just a thought..) . And today - I saw this - and besides patting myself on the back for how clever I can be sometimes - pat pat - I had to share how clever other people can be. So here you go - for any friends and followers in Paris - go get some Yello's and be happy this winter!
You're welcome! ;)
