Since getting home from the 7th drop off this month (last night) I’ve been trying to draft up the words to express an appropriate thank you. THANK YOU for everything YOU have made possible. None of these efforts would be possible without taking the time to do some early spring cleaning, to dust off and toss out the things you’ve been meaning to, the donations, the items dropped off while I’m at work, the gift certificates friends have dropped off, the e-transfers, THE HUGS. Last night me and Tiff loaded up the car with donations of shoes and blankets (mainly, but even crutches too!!!) that had been dropped off to my apartment over the last few days & bags of dozens of bagels and fresh treats I had picked up from Seventh Sister. Our first stop before heading to the shelter was to a clearance sale where the shoe cost was reduced even further due to volume as a result I left with 70 PAIRS OF SHOES, 17 brand new plus sized nearly floor length women’s coats, and 20 men’s large+ pairs of jeans, we grabbed another 35 fleece blankets and then we were on our way 💕 none of this is possible without your help!!! This remarkable movement has all happened within this MONTH, within 7 drop offs since January 5th; in TWENTY days I’ve seen people come together that I haven’t seen in years, people I’ve never met, people I know only through the Internet. It’s been overwhelming and exciting and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I don’t want to lose momentum. Taking an extra moment to make sure your donations end up in the right hands is such minimal effort to make a huge difference, and I’m so glad we’re making this huge difference together. ❤️ #stuffinscoutshonour (at Toronto, Ontario)
