I’ve always said that the world is a different place for the heartbroken. It moves on a different axis, at a different speed. Time skips backwards and forwards fleetingly. The heartbroken might go through thousands of micro-emotions a day trying to figure out how to get through it without picking up the phone to hear that old familiar voice. In the land of heartbreak, moments of strength, independence, and devil-may-care rebellion are intricately woven together with grief, paralyzing vulnerability and hopelessness. Imagining your future might always take you on a detour back to the past. And this is all to say, that the next album I’ll be releasing is my version of Red.

Musically and lyrically, Red resembled a heartbroken person. It was all over the place, a fractured mosaic of feelings that somehow all fit together in the end. Happy, free, confused, lonely, devastated, euphoric, wild, and tortured by memories past. Like trying on pieces of a new life, I went into the studio and experimented with different sounds and collaborators. And I’m not sure if it was pouring my thoughts into this album, hearing thousands of your voices sing the lyrics back to me in passionate solidarity, or if it was simply time, but something was healed along the way.

Sometimes you need to talk it over (over and over and over) for it to ever really be… over. Like your friend who calls you in the middle of the night going on and on about their ex, I just couldn’t stop writing. This will be the first time you hear all 30 songs that were meant to go on Red. And hey, one of them is even ten minutes long.

Red (Taylor’s Version) will be out November 19.

Safe to say no one was expected that! I can't wait to hear it all again again! The red tour was the first Taylor swift concert I went to and it will always hold a special place in my heart ♥️

In terms of production, I really wanted to stay very loyal to the initial melodies that I had thought of for these songs but if there was any way that we could improve upon the song, or quality of it, we did. I did go in line by line and listen to every single vocal and think, what are my inflections here? If I could improve upon it, then I did. I really did want this to be very true to what I initially thought of when I had initially written. But better. Obviously.

FEARLESS memories 💛💛

Fearless - reminds me of kissing my boyfriend in the snow thinking it was so magical.

Fifteen - reminds me of being 15 and having my first proper crush and all those feeling that came with it.

Love Story - I owe everything to this song! It's the song that made me love Taylor. I would sing this song with my twin and sing every word without the music being on.

Hey Stephen - This is was my favourite song for the longest time! I just love it.

White Horse - when me and my boyfriend were 15 we went for a walk and he had put all my favourite songs at the time on his phone. Then we got to this cliff and he played this song and made me slow dance with him. That night I had my first ever kiss.

You Belong With Me - reminds me of my mam and both of us just loving life and watching the video in repeat and dancing and singing around the sitting room.

Breathe - Which is now I think my ultimate favourite Taylor song. This song makes me feel all the emotions. When me and my boyfriend broke up briefly this song said everything I was feeling.

Thankyou for the memories @taylorswift if these songs never existed I truly think my life would be different.

Fearless was the first album that I ever choose to listen to that wasn't influenced by my mam or friends.

I'm 2008 I was having the worst year, my uncle died and I felt like I had no friends but what I did figure out was that I loved Taylor Swift and thats who I became known as the girl that lives Taylor Swift. This album brought me so much happiness and made me feel better and less alone in the time I needed it the most.

FEARLESS you will forever be my first love and my all time favourite album. Thankyou @taylorswift for helping me relive my little 14 year old self I am truely loving my life. Love you 💛💛
