Whale Watching || Felicia and Eric
Eric smiled right back to Felicia as he walked around the side of the boat and craned his neck and head out, trying to see into the distance. Nothing. Nothing but crystal blue water. To be honest, Eric was still a bit surprised Felicia was so willing and excited to do this. It was still a thought unfathomable that someone would be interested in his slightly dorky hobbies, and interests. That’s where he’s been proven wrong. She knew and loved the whales, all animals. Not only that, she was kind, friendly, shy but out going at the same time, and really pretty.
As Eric’s mind diverted to things not involving the sea, he almost missed the next round of whales coming into view. Though they were still quite a distance away, the herd looked to be heading right their way. Impossible, the mariner shrugged it off. They’ll change course… Eric lowered the binoculars away from his face and looked over to Felicia, wondering how she was reacting.
Felicia was watching the other whales, the ones they could see already for a short bit but soon joined Eric on the search for other whales, hoping to see more. Her face pressed against the binoculars she was having a hard time standing still, she wanted to call out to the whales, no matter how far away they were hoping they'd hear her. She wanted to... dive into the water and swim with them. Pet them, name each of them and talk with them. Though she was a bit worried about the depth of the water out here... it was awfully far down....she just wanted to see them...
She spotted the other whales about the same time Eric chose to look back at her and let out a squee of delight, moving to his side so she could see them better. "They're coming to say hello!" She stated as she watched them swim nearer and nearer the boat, no matter how far they were still off. They were headed towards the boat. Felicia was intent on watching them though she did take a moment to look over to him. She'd have to remember to thank him, again, later once they were back on land.
Curve Ball || Vidia&Felicia
"Yeah, true," Vidia shrugged her shoulders as she kept walking. Ugh, can this girl chill out? Vidia’s own stress was making her get a head ache. Just when she thought she had figured out a way to not get them so frequently. Of course, she never saw what good it did to tell her parents. She didn’t want to end up taking a drug every morning and night just to be deemed ‘normal’. The hell was normal any way? Vidia pinched the bridge of her nose and let out a small sigh.
Finally, Vidia turned up the drive way and headed up the front porch and to the door. She wiggled her key into the old lock and got the door to open. She kicked off her boots and walked in her socked feet towards the kitchen. She motioned for Felicia to follow on through the ‘lobby’ and through the hallway that led to the kitchen. “Broccoli? On the pasta I mean.”
Felicia smiled and ran over things her in mind, able to tell that her words were bothering Vidia, and not wishing to annoy the girl who was kind enough to take her in any longer she went quiet. She just clutched the flowers and walked silently with her friend. Even if her mind was being much louder than she ever was at the moment. Felicia was used to not speaking, it was fairly easy for her to fall quiet as they made their way to Vidia's home.
"Sure, sounds good! I'm not picky! Just no meat." She wasn't vegan, she could tell many animals didn't mind humans drinking milk, or eating eggs. The eggs were useless anyway, they wouldn't ever hatch. But meat she wouldn't eat. However alfredo pasta with broccoli was right in her range of foods and sounded amazing. She'd never had anything like that that wasn't something reminiscent of cafeteria food. Or restaurant. She did eat out on occasion. She followed Vidia through the house, kicking her shoes off by the door as well. She looked around each room they passed, resisting the urge to 'wow' at the size of it.

Zyler chuckled at that. "He's my canine soulmate." he joked, patting Grimm on the head. He read over the paperwork, sticking his wallet back in his pocket until he made sure that everything was acceptable. The paperwork seemed to make sense, so he went over it again, signing the papers quickly as he could. Zyler looked at the receipt, which was in his hand, slightly crumpled, and pulled out the amount he was to pay in cash. He turned around and held it out to the animal shelter girl. "Anything else?"
"Nope, that's it. Just take good care of Grimm and you're set, Zyler." She grinned proudly, she always loved to see some of the older dogs or cats go home with someone. Even jsut a year or two old they were usually neglected for favor of puppies, kittens or younger animals of the same type. All of them deserved love, not just the little ones.
[SMS] Of course you do. Figured that a while ago. A day there, a day of relaxing/shopping, sounds good to me.
[SMS] Can I buy a kitten? Or Lizard? Kidding! As long as Rose doesn't try to make me buy a dress. Again.
[SMS] Pretty sure there's a zoo. Must be. I know there's a couple of museums.
[SMS] ooooo I hope so! I wanna see some cute little fuzzies that I haven't seen before!!
[SMS] Good answer. I already told the folks you were coming anyway.
[SMS] Glad my choice matters to you so much. But it’ll be fun. Hopefully. Is there a zoo? I wanna go to a zoo!
[SMS] It's less than two hours away, dear. Don't you feel like you need some time away from this place? Some girl time in a different place? I am NOT lazy. I'm resourceful! So are you in or not?
[SMS] I’m in, mostly because you’ll kidnap me anyway if I say no. :)
[SMS] Correction, we're going on a short trip to Portland for the weekend. You, me, Rose. Are you in? And yes, getting out of bed to walk down the hall is too much effort.
[SMS] Portland?? I've never even been out of Talesville....
Lazzzzzy Bum.
[SMS] What are you doing, say, two weekends from now?
[SMS] I don't know, why?

Zyler smiled as he saw the leash. They hasn't met before so he had no idea how she chose the perfect leash. Maybe she was psychic? "Actually, that's the one I'd probably pick." he told her. It matched the dog too. "How much is it?" he pulled a twenty out of his wallet, ready to pay for it and get to the paper work. He wanted to be able to call Grimm his.
Felicia laughed and nodded cheerfully. "It's the same kind Grimm chose when I took him for walks." She said offhandedly, she always held out the three leashes for the dogs to pick which one, and Grimm chose one identical to the one she'd picked up for Zyler. "Ten for the leash, and for Grimm you just have to sign here and here and here, since he's not a puppy, and we have a bit of an overflow of dogs.... you get a bit of a sale price..." She muttered as she was figuring out everything going over Grimm's paperwork she turned the receipt to Zyler, with the total for the dog, leash and Felicia had added in a free toy that ahw was playing tug or war with Grimm with while she gave Zyler time to read the paper work.
"I would love to be a zookeeper, but I love art slightly more, and I’m better at it." She giggled.
"You really have to have a passion for animals to be a zookeeper, and you seem to really like art." She grinned. "As long as you can appreciate animals you seen better off painting them~" Felicia replied in a chipper manner. The girl liked animals, she was a-okay in Felicia's book.
Curve Ball || Vidia&Felicia
Vidia knew quite well how her father would react, anti-climatic. Her mother on the other hand was the more emotional one. While Father shrugged most things off, Mother didn’t. She would pull Felicia into a tight hug and launch into a mother bear mode. Didn’t help that Felicia was bearing flowers. Vidia looked over at Felicia and turned her eyes upwards, almost to the point over rolling them into the sockets. She looked scared, nervous.
"Yup. A choice. Three guest bedrooms after Mother converted the fourth into an upstairs zen zone. She doesn’t even bloody use it. Everything sits there and collects dust." Would talking about the house help? Maybe not. Within ten minutes, they turned down the right street, only a few more short minutes. "What do you want for dinner? Personally I’m feeling like some pasta and alfredo."
Felicia looked down at the flowers in her hands, She was honestly a bit surprised by the whole situation. One couldn't blame her. She'd had a rather trying day. Being pulled aside to told the news that she was basically on the list of those they wanted out, she couldn't blame them. They only had so much room in the Foster Home, but it still hurt being told to move out. But then Vidia's sudden kindness threw her off a bit. She knew Vidia had it in her, she just hadn't expected it then... for whatever reason.
"Well, it doesn't sound like a bedroom is much more useful since you have three others." She shrugged a bit, it didn't seem like guest bedroom or zen zone the room would get much use, what was the difference? Felicia followed anxiously and glanced to Vidia at the mention of food. Another thing she wasn't used to choosing unless she worked through supper or ate out. "That sounds good actually!"
Man’s Best Friend || Felicia and Zyler
"Great!" Zyler said, standing up and following her and taking his wallet out of his pocket. He passed through the door, offering her a smile of gratitude and passing through. He grinned as Grimm followed, patting the pup on the head when the dog sat down next to him, "That’s good."
"What about... this one?" She held up a fairly simple black leash with little bones on it in white, the base being a dark brown. "Or we have retractable leashes too." She offered, holding up one that had a blue handle. "Any preference?" She raised her eyebrows as she walked behind the counter, the leashes still in hand. "There are a few other styles over there if you care to look."
"It must be amazing getting to be around the animals all the time, the only time I really get to see them is when I visit the shelter and when I go to the zoo, but I’m busy a lot and don’t get to go that often."
"It is! I love animals, I actually want to be a zookeeper once I finish college. I go whenever I can now, but one day I'll be working there. I'm certain of it. But the shelter needs me too, so for now I'm helping there."
"Oh I recognize you! You work there don’t you? I’m Janett, it’s a pleasure to meet you."
"I do! Well volunteer I work at the flower shop in town with my friends Rose and Vidia... Janett I like that name. It suits you."
I am so happy to be back in school.
"Me too! I just started college. Hey! You come into the shelter all the time! I'm afraid I never got your name! I'm Felicia."
