First of... Happy Birthday, Rook Hunt! 🏹🌹 Sorry that it may be a little late-
I love that it turned out so cute~
Then.. Trials of Rowmance..
I think this would be one of my favorite hometown event so far, it just looked so fun and lots of TLM references ✨
Though i'm still a bit baffled that Rook and Riddle got another cards with wedding theme, Rook is understandable for me but Riddle-? Bro always mentioned his parents marriage in his dialogue 😭💔 I hope this could be a lesson for him that it is folly to pick a partner solely based from your mother orders 😏
👇 Based from Riddle's home dialogue about how much lemons he needs for Trey to bake him lemon tart

Quick solutions here if yall need more diamonds btw 🤩
Sorry if this is a tricky subject to talk about but about the tags in that reply about the concert dvd, why is it not okay to talk about pirating (gonna assume that’s what 🏴☠️ emoji is standing for). bc tbh I see tons of people talking about pirating the anime or blazing jewel and nothing bad has happened. maybe it’s different on japanese side idk am I missing something here??
[ Referencing this post! ]
I’ve discussed the debate for and against pirating the anime here. A lot of that discussion is a debate on whether pirating would make a significant enough dent in the streaming numbers to prevent seasons 4 and onwards from being greenlit. Please see that linked post for the related points; I will be primarily talking about pirating Blazing Jewel in this current post.
Importantly, I will be discussing the disagreement and then give my own take at the very end. However, the purpose of this post is to provide you with as much information as possible so you, the viewer, can make your own informed decisions.
Let's set the stage. Disney+ is temporarily streaming Blazing Jewel from October 24 to November 7. This will grant fans who were not able to attend the concert to still view it. Only one issue: it requires a D+ subscription and is region locked to Japan, meaning international fans cannot see the content. You would need a D+ account and a VPN to set your location to Japan, which requires money and a willingness to pay Disney for the privilege of viewing.
What did those international fans do? They sailed the seven seas, of course. They recorded Blazing Jewel and reposted it on Youtube, TikTok, and other social media platforms. They uploaded the concert onto Google Drives and passed them around like illicit drugs. It’s gotten to the point where the JP fans have noticed and are reporting the associated accounts, getting them taken down. Now there's anger and harassment going on, and it's become a huge mess.
The question is: why is this discourse happening? Let’s look at the two sides.
(Please note that there is considerably more clarification for the JP side because I am trying to translate their cultural norms to the English-speaking international audience. I'm assuming that most people reading this are in the international audience and thus already understand that POV; it's the Japanese POV I have to explain; it doesn't mean I necessarily support the JP side over the international side.)
From the international Twst community:
As I mentioned earlier, they feel frustrated that they cannot view something they are extremely passionate and curious about. To international fans, it seems very unfair that so much of Twst's content is region locked to its home country of Japan (even though the anime, manga, and live novel are globally avaliable). This doesn't just go for Blazing Jewel, but also other events, like collab cafes and exhibitions, the vast majority of merch items, and other videos such as official MVs or livestreams. Those are all locked to Japan too.
Disney isn't exactly looked upon favorably, especially as of late. To quote what I've said in another post: "[Disney] has a long track record of greedy and outright inhumane behaviors. They produce soulless products and pretend to be inclusive while censoring non-straight characters to make more money in countries like China + letting their stars take the brunt of internet hostility. They are aggressive in their business strategies and "protecting" their IPs. They are complicit in human rights violations and fund terrible causes + legislation. It’s no wonder why people don’t feel comfortable financially supporting them."
In the eyes of non-JP fans, particularly westerners, it is 'ethical' to speak ill of, or to do things which hurt the bottom line of, those who are morally reprehensible, including large corporations like Disney. There is (comparatively) little respect for companies.
Disney is a multi-billion-dollar company. Some argue that a handful of people pirating won't make a huge dent in their wallet.
Some fans lack the finances to pay for a streaming service and/or VPN required to view Blazing Jewel legally.
This isn't a sentiment I see a lot compared to everything else I've shared, but a few select fans believe region locking content is arrogant and makes Asia selfish for doing so. They will claim it's "not to protect IP", but to "gatekeep" content because they believe Asia hates foreigners. (This take, by the way, is, in of itself, xenophobic 💀 because why are you hating on an entire continent (or specific country) for region locking content when LOTS of places do it??? Why is it bad when Japan or Asia does it but not when you do it?)
Some point out that Disney is losing out on money by not making Blazing Jewel able to be viewed internationally.
Blazing Jewel is only on D+ for a limited time; by reuploading it, the public will arguably have access to it forever. This is also a good way to view the concert if you don’t have money or patience for the disc to come out in March 2026.
On an international stage (and particularly in the West), pirating is more normalized than it is in Japan. Though pirating is technically a crime, it is largely not viewed as one in the West.
As for the Japanese Twst community:
I think what's REALLY important to consider here is the huge cultural divide between Japan and the rest of the Twst fandom. Piracy is seen as both a moral failing of the individual and a serious crime in Japan. Many events are super strict about taking unsolicited photos and videos + reuploading them elsewhere; they typically have warnings to not do so. (It's considered rude to film people in public too!)
Japan in general takes anything related to copyright EXTREMELY seriously. The government + law enforcement actively combat piracy with industry cooperation and public awareness campaigns. You can be fined or even jailed for illegal file sharing.
Japanese culture highly values etiquette and respecting the hierarchy + intellectual properties, regardless of who or what entity owns that intellectual property. Yup, that includes companies.
Disney is looked upon very favorably in Japan. Most Japanese people are not aware of the controversies Disney is embroiled in abroad and may hold deep nostalgia for the Disney IPs/love going to the Disney parks.
There is the belief that if you pirate something you claim to be a fan of, you aren't a "real" fan of it. Pirating means you aren't supporting the real creators; in fact, you're financially harming them.
You have to realize that a lot of Japanese people don't know much about the world beyond Japan; the country is VERY homogenous. It's difficult for them to see from the perspective of an overseas fan, who may be from a culture where pirating is normalized or not as stigmatized. just as it can be difficult for an overseas person to understand why pirating is criminalized in Japan.
Japanese fans have brought up that they find the pro-pirating points posted by overseas fans distasteful and rude, particularly the "it's Japan's fault for region locking the content, we wouldn't do this if Japan wasn't so stingy" and the "I don't have money, it can't be helped" arguments.
Some JP fans say that it's because foreigners pirate that content is region locked, non-JP fans have proven they cannot be trusted to support official releases. (In Japan, buying the officially licensed product is supporting it + the creators and trying to get the product via other means is considered scummy.) All this will do is make the companies behind Twst take stronger measures to restrict their content.
Some JP fans are offended because they paid money for a D+ subscription and/or even more money to attend the concert in-person or to buy the disc, and it's unfair that others didn't have to do the same. (Publicly sharing paid content, especially in full, is seen as a bad thing in JP fandom circles.)
It’s honestly not strange for a JP game to want to focus on its JP audience, especially when that is where most of its revenue comes from.
Another issue, JP fans point out, is how this spoils the experience for others. This applies not just to Blazing Jewel, but how overseas fans will casually drop story spoilers, screenshots/images which are spoilers, etc., thereby ruining the experience for other fans. This is a HUGE no-no in JP fandom circles, which take great pains to tag and censor anything which could potentially be a spoiler.
JP fans take issue with the haughty attitude of some foreign fans. "They casually praise unauthorized reposting", "They're using Twst to try and go viral, it's pitiful", "the reposters are being called 'saviors' and act high and mighty about it", etc.
Some JP fans expressed confusion as to why overseas fans can't wait until the disc comes out. They perceive overseas fans as impatient and unwilling to (financially) support the creators behind Twst.
JP fans worry pirating will "cause trouble" (due to copyright issues) for the devs and others involved in Twst. According to JP fans, "This undermines the efforts of the companies [...] if they cannot sustain themselves, they cannot hold similar events in the future, which potentially ruins our enjoyment forever." (I want to clarify they aren't necessarily defending solely Disney here, but also Yana's team of artists and writers, the merch companies, the company behind the concert + venue, etc.) So the consequences people are worrying about aren’t immediate (like removing Blazing Jewel altogether), but more like long term or potential consequences for later.
Where do we go from here?
It’s clear that both sides hold such strong opinions and refuse to budge on them. The cultural perspectives are just TOO different; it would be impossible to reconcile them. There's always going to be tension between JP fans and non-JP fans simply because non-JP fans have a tendency to rush and spoil things as soon as they gain knowledge of it whereas JP fans are more restrained and cautious of etiquette.
Here’s where I think the main issue of this particular situation lies: it’s how PUBLIC the pirating is.
For as much as the Japanese campaign against piracy, it would be ridiculous to think that no one in Japan pirates. The thing is, they do it on the down-low and don't announce it and/or share how they do it. But what are international fans doing? Not only are they openly declaring their intent to pirate on socials, but they are also reposting full copyrighted, PAID content out there for all to see.
That's like announcing you're going to rob a bank, actually going to commit the bank heist, and then returning to your social media to post pictures of all the stolen money. You're technically committing a crime and then bragging about it rather than doing the smart thing and... I don't know, keeping it under wraps??? Because why would you WANT to signal to the IP owners what you're doing, thereby encouraging them to heighten security or to close down the operations altogether?
I also think part of the problem is how non-JP fans act about pirating. As many JP users have pointed out, it feels very smug and self-aggrandizing, as if pirating makes one morally superior. If we want to come to an understanding with JP fans, we should try to be more affable and listen to their perspective instead of assuming they're a Disney bootlicker or shill come to defend their precious company and lashing out. (Again, the anti-piracy attitude is deeply baked into Japanese culture at this point.) If we are aggressive or refuse to listen, then JP fans may, in turn, retaliate with aggression or be frustrated that we're not listening to them. Let's keep in mind that this is further exasperated by a language barrier.
Look, I don't personally care how people go about viewing Blazing Jewel or whatever fandom content you wish to see. I don’t want to be involved in that 💦 I don't know you, and that's none of my business; you can make your decisions. However, I do ask that if you’re going to sail the seven seas, you don't blatantly engage in it publicly (that means you shouldn’t share screenshots, links, videos, instructions on how to 🏴☠️), as that can deal damage in several ways, including, as you can see from this post, relations between JP and non-JP fans. DON'T BE DUMB, BE DISCREET.
Welp- It's been a while eversince I post anything in here. Sometimes I'm considering what to do or how I gonna manage my page here, besides posting my art 🤔 Maybe for anyone who'd like to chat or discuss random things, any fandom (that I know) would do!
Especially small fandoms (in EN fanbase) like Akuneko, Onmyoji or anything 😭 srsly where are u guys
Of course, I mainly focusing on twst still since it's like the only game I diligently login cuz easy gameplay to speedrun lol (Eversince general weekly mission for rhythm changed, I can clear things up just in one day haha)
Also.. A little more : Why do I have the mood to draw when I can't sleep at night?! Good thing I have two device, other to draw and other one grinding twst lessons.. Health me
(Bro is concerned lol) Thank you for coming in 3 pulls Halloween SR Riddle. I'm broke in EN twst after Ernesto banner 🥀 I don't have tenfold keys left, I really need health..
Hihi ^^ I’ve come to you today to correct an incorrect machine translation that is being spread around.
Normally I don’t go out of my way to “fix” this kind of thing, but several of my Jamil Liker friends have expressed frustration with this 💦 I’d like to set the record straight!! I also figure now is a good time to put the warning out before it potentially affects all the cards in the new JP birthday line. (There’s a LOT of potential for the same mistakes that happened here to repeat, especially given the “date”-esque scenario of La Bonbonniére.)
PLEASE SHARE IF YOU CAN!! Let’s try to limit the spread of misinformation ^^
The mistranslated voice line in question is this:
That voice line, in Japanese (and to be clear, this is written text pulled directly from the in-game assets): またあのカフェに一緒に行きたい?そうだな……タイミングが合えば付き合ってもいい.
Let’s break it down one sentence at a time!!
In the machine translation, it sounds as though Jamil is the one inviting you to hang out with him a second time. “Do you want to go to that café with me again?” This is NOT correct. In fact, the original Japanese text (またあのカフェに一緒に行きたい?) has NO pronouns. There is no “you”, there is no “me”. There is only 一緒 (meaning “together”).
To break the sentence up into rough chunks:
また/mata -> again
あのカフェ/ano cafe -> that cafe
に一緒/ni issho -> together
に行きたい/ni ikitai -> expressing want
As I’ve said, no “you” or “me” here. In Japanese, pronouns are often implied by the context of the situation. However, it is nearly impossible to speak English without pronouns, so what machines will do is they will INSERT pronouns that were never there to begin with. This can lead to referring to characters by the wrong gender (as was the case with the Episode of Scarabia’s manga summary). It can also lead to the machine mixing up the pronouns (such as “you” and “me”), which is the case here, and cause misunderstandings.
The more accurate translation of Jamil’s first sentence is “(implied) You want to go to that cafe with (implied) me again?” It could also technically be “(implied) You want to go to that cafe together again?” The “together”, of course, refers to “with (implied) him”, Jamil. Notice how—in this corrected version—Yuu/the player is the one who took the initiative and invited Jamil. He is the one responding to YOUR invite. He is NOT the one inviting you.
You might think that’s just semantics, but it actually does really impact how a character is perceived and presented. For example, Jamil is often not direct with what he wants, as he (as a servant) is not in a position to be. He keeps his cards close to his chest and doesn’t do much to be a disrupter in his daily school life. Meanwhile, Yuu is theoretically supposed to be a friendly face on campus that encourages people to get along + make friends. It therefore fits both of their already established characters to have Yuu be bold and Jamil be the respondent. It doesn’t make as much sense if reversed; why is Jamil suddenly the bold one and why is Yuu being characterized as less active?
Cultural idiosyncrasies such as slang, linguistic quirks, politeness, and social etiquette, are also ignored by machines. This isn’t relevant for Jamil’s voice line here, but it’s something to keep in mind. One easy to remember example is how honorifics don’t always translate well, or how the machine will always translate ALL variants of “I” (watashi, atashi, ore, boku, etc.) as the same thing in English (I), so it erases the context of what those imply about the character who is speaking.
In English, it’s normal to ask others to spend time together with “Do you want to…” questions. In Japanese, the rough equivalent (〇〇たい, a verb suffix that adds desire and is often translated as “want” without outright meaning it; 行きたい in this case) is uncommon for questions because such directness is considered rude. It comes off as passive aggressive or intrusive. So… the machine technically did translate the second line correctly, but it misses the nuance of cultural context. If Jamil truly was inviting Yuu somewhere, he would probably not phrase it like a question (行きたい?) due to Japanese conventions of speaking. Jamil would most likely say 行きたい (“I want to go (to the café”).
Another failure of machine translations is that they cannot read character’s inflection or tone of voice. It does not always accurately translate sarcasm, elongated words, stuttering, etc. In this instance, the machine missed the surprise in Jamil’s voice. The surprise would imply he is reacting to something said to him rather than pitching a question of his own. If you listen to the voice clip (which I’m sure you can find on YouTube or other sites), you’ll have a better idea of what I’m talking about.
Now to the second sentence: タイミングが合えば付き合ってもいい. The machine did actually translate this one mostly alright?? Although it definitely could sound less… clunky
My issue with this part is the machine translation is very literal and doesn’t consider context. “That’s right… If the timing is right, I’d be happy to go out with you.” I’m seeing some people take the “go out with you” part as canon confirmation of dating Jamil, at least in the AU of the card—but again, this is NOT exactly the case. The term 付き合って is used, and while that can refer to dating, it can also mean hanging out in general. It could also mean “joining”, “helping”, or “going along with”. 付き合って is very context dependent. Generally, 付き合う without a preposition means “dating”, but if a location (like the aforementioned café) is specified, then it usually means “going (there) with someone”. It would be more accurate to say 付き合う is “accompanying” someone.
Fun fact, Jamil’s phrasing here (ie in the second sentence) is actually a common way for girls to politely decline dates. Make of that what you will 😭 The JP fandom has been joking about it xhsvwjxbsk
My guess is that Twst wanted to go with a more platonic leaning (at least in JP) phrasing because that’s more universal than making it so everyone that rolled for Jamil is forced into a romantic situation with him. Of course, you can still interpret the café outing as something romantic!! I’m just pointing out that this scene isn’t explicitly meant to be lovey-dovey; there’s room for both interpretations.
So what did we learn from this? Machine translations are incredibly FLAWED.
I realize that many non-Japanese speakers rely on these for quick translations, so I won’t shame anyone that uses them. However, do NOT take machine translations as gospel because they can be slightly off in best case scenarios or flat-out wrong in other instances.
Never treat machine translations as the end-all, be-all, or as your ONLY source. Try to consult other sources (preferably trusted fandom translators/actual people fluent in the language) if you can. There is a lot that machine translations DON’T capture that a human WILL.
This is just a random Idea that came into my mind since lately I've been busy to grind frags in IDV. Also NetEase keep choking Players with collabs here and there smh. But what do you guys think?
I think Riddle also would fit to be Lawyer, but.. Yeah-
The Tweels as Wu Chang! Because they're tall and so fitting to be a hunter, in my opinion.
Here is a little scenario with their match together 🐧
It's been a while eversince I've posted my twst fanart here, so this is it!
So many people went crazy over mama Leech, she is so gorgeous! She's totally gave more insights about the Leech family and I would love to have more lores about the characters.
Honestly though, I'm more curious about Mama Rosehearts. I wonder if someday she could make a real appearances in main story or something instead of just silhouette (Don't ask why 😅)
Also smh I just love to draw chibi Jade with that eyes..
Just like Jack who also got R cards treatment (Thank you, Ace) now Rook join the gang too I guess, but this time from Riddle-
