A/N: this is my first imagine? one shot? idk but itās my first time posting here on tumblr! this was requested by my friend so hopefully she likes it, so this ones for youuuu š«¶š¼
itās my second month as a trainee here at JYPE. the two months have been tough but in the best way possible
me and 3 other trainees got assigned to do a duo dance with an experienced idol from the entertaiment, and of course, i got hyunjin. luckily stray kids arent busy with comebacks, so we have time to practice.
itās currently friday 5:32 pm and iām on my way to the practice room, we got it for ourselves. iām running a bit late but thatās okay, or i hope so. i arrive a couple minutes later and i slowly walk in, and looking in - i see hyunjin already warming up. āiām sorry for being late, i forgot we had the room todayā i say in a low tone as he looks at me with a comforting smile, āthatās okay, but make sure to check your schedule next timeā he says jokingly letting out a chuckle.
i like hyunjin. well, i dont like like him, not in that way. i mean even if i did, it wouldnt matter. heās way too popular for me and heās one of my seniors. i havent even debuted yet. so even if i had crush on him, it wouldnt go anywhere. but heās so pretty. i look at him, i look at him setting up the speaker. him in his grey sweatpants and black t shirt. heās so.. god this practice is gonna be harder than i thought
i place my bag on the floor and we immediately get to practicing, he leads the way and makes sure iām comfortable. as a trainee in the same entertainment company as hyunjin, the opportunity to dance alongside someone as captivating as him, filled me with a mixed feelings of excitement and nervousnes. espically now that itās hyunjin.
10 minutes into practicing
āyouāre too tense hereā he grabs my shoulders softly āyou need to breathe out with your chestā he softly pushes down my shoulder as i start letting out my breath. he gives me a smile and nods softly āiām not here to judge, only to helpā.
i automatically felt more confident. right when the music started again, hyunjin and i moved together smoothly, our bodies fitting together and making each step more exciting. the tension that simmered between us. there was an unspoken chemistry that made my stomach bubble. his scent, his pressure and the way he held me. it was a feeling i havent felt before.
our movements became an intricate language, we moved together in a way that showed how we felt without talking. but midway through our dance, i felt hyunjins hand gazing a spot on my side, which made a giggle escape my lips. Hyunjin looked surprised yet intrigued, he couldn't help but inquire, "whatās so funny?" he asks tilting his head slightly
i felt a bit shy, maybe a bit embarrassed. i confessed with a bashful smile, "it tickled." he looks a bit confused at me in the beginning but then gets it āahh, when i accidentally touched your sideā. i give a him a shy nod
Hyunjin looked at me with a mischievously smile. i looked back at him with a slightly confused look at my face, āwhy are you looking at me like that?ā before i could even think, i felt his hand swiftly move back to my side, tickling my sides as i break out in a laughter
Unbeknownst to us, the other members of stray kids, bangchan, lee know, changbin, han, felix, seungmin and jeongin, had quietly entered the room, their eyes filled with amusement as they watched us. we quickly stopped what we were doing, looking at them with surprised faces.
bangchan, with a knowing smile, remarked ālooks like the dance moves aren't the only things causing sparks in hereā and then of course lee know playfully nudged hyunjin, āyour dancing partner seems to have quite the effect on you. dont let it distract you too much eh!ā i look over at hyunjin and i see him rolling his eyes at lee know - which made me chuckle and look back down
han, never one to hold back, added with a cheeky grin, "are we witnessing the birth of a new dance couple? iām already picturing the headlines." changbin hopped on that one, "i always thought i could sense the tension between the two of you. It's like watching a dance of unspoken desires."
caught off guard by their playful teasing, i found myself blushing and look back up at hyunjin, i lean a bit into him and lowly speaks while facing him āare they always like that?ā. āif youāre gonna talk about us, can you least whisper it? or be more sneaky about it?ā seungmin said out loud, the room filled with laughter at seungmins joke.
ābut let us see the danceā jeongin said while sitting down on the couch thats sat up against the wall. i look a bit around āi dont kn-ā. felix interrupted me, āwe wont tease anymore, we promiseā he said promisingly. i then gave in and looked at the guys āokayy but no teasing, i mean itā
they all said back on the couch, some of them on the floor and looked at me and hyunjin, waiting for us to start. he then turned to me, looking into my eyes. ādont be shy, youāre good.. for a traineeā. i playfully smack his arm and look back into his eyes āand youāre good, for a guy.ā he squirted his eyes at me and slowly nodded.
as the music started and we both were about to dance, hyunjins mischievous side again took over and with a sly grin, he suddenly lunged forward, his fingers outstretched, aiming for my ticklish spot. i let out a squeal and tried to evade his tickling hands, but he was relentless. "hyunjin, no fair!" i exclaimed with a laugh, ā i can't dance properly if you keep tickling me!ā. āgood for a guy, what does that even mean?!ā he said, not stopping his evil tickling.
āHYUNJIN!ā i screamed out with a laugh, and he slowly stopped, holding his eye contact with me, both of us letting out small chuckles, forgetting the other members were in the room with us.
āehem ehemā seungmin said out loud. we quickly step aside each other, and i looked down from embarrassment. āno teasing no teasingā lee know annoyingly teased us as the other members erupted in laughter.
bangchan chimed in, "well damn, looks like hyunjin found a way to break the tension. who knew tickling could be such an effective technique?"
i started blushing. i really started to blush, like to the point where i felt my cheeks heating up. hyunjin then walked up the door, opened it and looked at the members. they quickly got the hint and han groaned while standing up with the others.
āhave funn~ā changbin said as hyunjin playfully punched his arm. they all finally left and i dropped down on the couch. hyunjin then came back to me and sat down beside me. i slowly turn my head to look at him and he does the same, we both end up breaking out in laughter. āwell that was somethingā i said looking away again
a comfortable silence was between us.
āhey, how about we practice again tomorrow. same time. i can most likely have the room for ourselves again.ā. i slowly nod with a reassuring smile, āthats okay with me but what do we do now? we still have the room for another 2 hoursā. i said, genuinely not knowing what to do in the meanwhile. āwe could go on a walk. i know a place with no peopleā. he said excitingly.
āi would like thatā. i said with a smile, looking at him.
ācome on, get up!ā he stood up, dragging me up from the couch.
maybe itās not that bad having a crush on Hwang Hyunjin. maybe, it could even work out. maybe it could even go somewhere between us. only maybe, though.
