Also - no backgrounds! Yaay! This page was a breeze to draw. It does look a bit chaotic but I wanted to convey how overwhelmed Cathy gets when people talk about her.

They're not saying anything too out there but still being bitchy. God forbid a girl has whimsy. (Also... Aideen's concept art is half horse...)

(I want to keep the contents somewhat 'typical comic aimed at tweens' appropiate to delude myself that this could be canon ༼;´༎ຶ ۝ ༎ຶ༽)

Actually, they'll get a bit meaner on the next page... Why are Eva's and Starshine's eyes so.. starry? Hmmm... weird.

I really like how this page came out btw. I feel like I'm getting into a nice rhythm now.

Star Stable - "Previous Generation of Soul Riders" Comic (??)

I've been toying with the idea of making a little comic about Liz and Cathy for a while now; a comic about their first meeting to be exact. This is the first (test) page out of 16 I have sketched out :P. I'm happy that I made it, but I can't say I'm fully digging how the finished page turned out. I'm very new to drawing backgrounds and even these two little snippets were difficult xD I might do some studies and redraw this page but I thought I'd share it anyway - who knows when (or if) I'll have the patience to tackle the next page XDD

Also, for those with keen eyes - yes, the white horse and their rider in the background are not some random artistic choices but rather important characters :D

I'm really happy with how this turned out<33 I think it conveys the relationships between the riders really well but in a subtle way :D (Well, the relationships I've imagined them to have per my headcanons xd) Feel free to share how you think they got along at the time this picture was taken xDD

I got this sketch done in like 10 minutes but I've been attempting to conquer the lineart for hours and the attempts all ended in failure. I know there's potential T.T that's why I decided to post this sketch; so I'm less likely to abandon it XDDD

Young Eva von Blyssen

Eva as she looked like around the time she was getting to know Catherine and Elizabeth. I think she would wear way more interesting outfits, but this is just what she wears to ride her horse at the Jorvik Stables after school.

I'm really inconsistent from post to post with the artstyles I'm using for these little character sheets, so she might end up looking a little different in the future xd I am set on her having short hair tho.

I'm showing you the thumbnail I made for her because I like the vibe of it more than the finished drawing <33

Style exploration

Just some drawings of my sso character - Svea. I wanted to experiment with proportions so I tried out 3 different head to body ratios.

I think I'm the most partial towards the 6.5 heads tall one; mostly because I liked working on it the most (and I think it shows a bit).

Catherine's Horse

I tried a few things here: I wanted to emulate the style Johan Egerkans used on the horses in the original star stable games - gave up on that; I wanted to give Catherine more hair - I don't really like how she came out; I think the proportions are not there. I'm still not set on what breed of horse Catherine would have (I'm not set on the horse's name either) but I like the idea of her having a friesian (in my mind the horse was really hard to train so nobody wanted it, also friesians have a tendency to be sickly so maybe she nursed it back to health). I need to workshop all that because I really want to make a little comic with Cathy and Elizabeth <33

Young Catherine Holbrook

Yeah... I'm kinda obsessing with sso lore at the moment. I wanted to draw Catherine Moorland (Holbrook) right around the time she met Elizabeth and they started their sisterhood. I think she looks a bit too young tho; l guess I'm gonna accept that a sign that she had a baby-face in her late teens.

I imagine that the jeans and shoes she's wearing are actually Jasper's (her dad's) but she doesn't make a fuss about wanting new clothes cause it's not like she has anyone to impress at the moment anyway

My version of Elizabeth Sunbeam when she first came to Jorvik

I drew her in a style that's slightly inspired by the og sso style because I'm a total suckeerrr for ittt (the inspiration is subtle but visible, imo, tihi)

In my headcanon she came to Jorvik somewhere in the 90s in her late teens; the in-game lore alludes to her escaping a tumultuous family life so this design is based on that
