“Skies are clearing up, thanks to a high pressure front moving in from the mountains. Mild winds will be blowing in from the west, pushing the clouds out by this evening. There’ll be a beautiful full moon lighting up the sky. So, if you’ve been planning something special…tonight might be the night.”
It is possible for wonderful encounters and beautiful things to exist.

Day 19 (10/10/2017) Part 1: another warm and sunny day I decided to take the train a short journey out of Tokyo to the Tama Hills which just so happens to be the setting for the Studio Ghibli films Whisper of the heart and Pom Poko! I’ve not included many photos as the limit is 10 and il so a proper post about it when I get home with film screen shots but you can probably recognise a good few Whisper of the Heart spots! When you get off the train at Sakuragaoka the building you exit is the Keio building from the film and outside the station there is a little free booklet to guide you through the scenes and areas from the film which is in a plastic box below the little model of the antiques shop from Whisper and there is a big sign map of the route beside it too! When I was doing the route I bumped into two girls who were together and another guy who were also wandering around the route! So it must be pretty popular! My favourite part had to be the shrine where Shizuku receives an unwanted love confession :S it’s a really beautiful little spot in the area actually the whole area is really nice! It’s a really cool trip to take and if you’re a big fan of the film you’ll recognise bits everywhere! Il take pictures of the route leaflet and stuff in a post next week some time as I have sooo many pictures of different bits from the film :D
