I'm Lena, 32 years old woman from Finland. I've been playing The Sims for 20. I've mostly played The Sims 2, 3 and 4. Currently I play The Sims 2.

I post gameplay, builds, scenery, my sims, sims rambles and personal posts. My personal posts are usually tagged with nonsims for those who don't want to see them.

It might take time for me to reply, and sometimes I forget and end up never replying. Just wanted to be transparent. I will try to reply, though, it's something I'm currently working on.

There's plenty of reasons why I might not reply to your WCIF. I most likely don't have the energy to go through the process it takes to find CC, because of my mental and physical health. Another thing is that I often can't find CC because the filename has no indication of the creator or what the CC could be named online. A lot of the CC I have is no longer available online. Please be patient and kind. I will not tolerate any nonsense from now on.

I post about my other interests such as journaling, photography and gardening, and our family pets, as well as about my mental health, addiction and recovery. I tag trigger warnings. I mention things that could be triggering so please avoid those posts to stay safe, if needed. Take care of yourself.

Hi! I haven't been active on here in a while. I'm still alive and making cool stuff for TS2.

It's still very much a work in progress. The research section isn't complete and the mobile version especially needs some more polish, but it's an archive of all of my uploaded mods and it also features some exclusive never-before-published hacks. 👀

The hat is dragged down and enlarged slightly to go down a little over the ears and therefore will have some clipping with certain hairs

The scarf goes over all clothes but will clip with some tops

The legwarmers will clip with poofy pants but should properly go over all bottoms other then that!

The scarf takes up necklace texture space but is found in the ring category & the legwarmers is found in the accessory button under the clothes

Comes in 10 swatches (white,beige,black,red,blue,green,pink,purple,yellow & orange)

I've been looking and looking for a cowplant skull accessory for TS2 for my Cowplant cult but there's none! If only I knew how to convert because this would be perfect!

Sorry for no sims posts yet! I'm still either deleting CC or building/decorating. Occasionally I just get so tired of deleting stuff I need to build/decorate to actually enjoy simming. Now I haven't checked if I'm under the object limit but most Maxis items are clickable and work again. Only a few that don't so I'm continuing the process of removing stuff. Mods that didn't work before work again so that's a good sign!

I just don't understand how I have so much CC when I look and I just feel like I don't actually have that much in build/buy. Just stuff I consider my basics. I'm still not sure what exactly counts towards the object limit. Is it all CC/mods with OBJDs? Do custom recolours of custom objects count? Orphaned recolours? I've deleted so much furniture but I realised there's definitely orphaned recolours and I'll have to try get rid of them somehow.

Anyway. I really wish I could get rid of a lot more but my buy/build mode honestly doesn't have much left that I'm willing to let go of. I think I might be able to do another 1 GB but that's it. Building/decorating is so important to me. However I am deleting stuff I feel like I can totally make happen with Maxis items used creatively. Might as well try!

Mod conflicts between so many mods I'd love to use simultaneously is killing me! I have to choose what to play with and what to just give up on for the time being.

Mod conflicts have kept me busy for days trying to get @lamare-sims's LTW chooser to work again! The only thing I can think of as being a problem is @midgethetree's supernatural mods because I checked the time things stopped working and what I'd downloaded. It's either the supernatural transformer, Bonehilda NPC and related mods/cc, or some of the werewolf or vampire mods I downloaded. Or midge's edit of creaturefixes. I'm trying to figure it out. Bonehilda I won't be taking out obviously because that'd corrupt my hoods. But some of the objects related to Bonehilda were conflicting.

I do have older supernatural mods from midgethetree and I had some other creaturefix (I can't remember if it's the original ) and they worked fine with lamare's custom LTWs and chooser. The patches worked.

I did have some conflicts going on with supernatural mods in general so I've fixed those now.

The chooser itself is the issue! Clicking on it just resets the sim. I still get the custom LTWs if I roll new LTWs. But I really want to use the chooser.

Anyway, the conflicts seem to be fixed. I'm checking in game soon. I hope it works.

I really want more supernatural mods to make playing with them more interesting/better. And I'd like to get the fairies and werecats, perhaps even mermaids. And I'm thinking of hereditary supernaturalism and child/toddler occults. It'd be interesting!

But I'm not sure if they'll conflict with the custom LTWs? Or something else I have. Not to mention I am still over the object limit so I can't download more stuff. I've been deleting a lot of CC every day. I'm going through stuff in game. Definitely choosing Maxis objects over custom now. I wonder if Maxis recolours count towards the object limit? Ok I'll stop rambling now. I'll really have to re-build my downloads folder eventually tbh. I was organised for a long time!

I'm getting closer to going under the object limit. The more build/buy stuff I go through and choose to delete the better the game runs and many of the recently unselectable Maxis objects now are once again selectable and work as intended. I still plan on removing more but it's difficult. I have gone through build/buy for hours trying to find stuff I really don't want that'll actually make a difference to the object limit. Maxis recolours thankfully don't seem to so that means I won't have to get rid of those and that it's easier to choose Maxis objects with awesome recolours over 4t2 furniture. I prefer how much more realistic Maxis textures are in TS2. It's deco that is the problem! I keep thinking over and over again that I'll totally use that so I need that! Oh well. I'll figure it out.

chrissy6930 Mountain Doors and Windows Part 2

Additional doors and windows matching the log windows from Bon Voyage. All doors also work on diagonal walls. However, the sidelight window comes without diagonal. Bon Voyage required.

The mountain windows (other set) from chrissy6930 are repo'd to the BV originals so recolours show up. But the doors aren't and it's making the set unusable for me. I wonder where I could request someone to repo both mountain door sets to BV like the windows are? Or if anyone has done it? I have researched with no luck!

I'm currently recovering from tooth extraction that happened last week and again this week. I had an abscess that made my jaw/cheek swell and I was in so much pain. Turns out my roots had calcified and they were infected so the tooth and roots needed to be extracted to help me heal. The abscess couldn't even drain before they got the roots out and it took hours because they had calcified. It hurt so bad despite being given multiple stabs of local anesthesia. The infected parts hurt no matter what. Unfortunately they couldn't get one infected root until this week so the healing started again and it's been so painful. I've felt physically weak and just need rest. I'm able to sit on the PC occasionally though.

I got through it all thankfully but it definitely was daunting. Especially as I'm afraid of anything medical because of medical trauma and pain itself is triggering to me always due to other trauma as well. I have to get another two teeth fixed that to me have the same pain meaning there root infection. I just pray the roots aren't calcified because I need those teeth to be able to eat. I can no longer eat on the side they extracted the tooth from. I don't know if I'm able to get an implant or something? Apparently it's possible but I don't understand how because I literally cannot afford it.

Anyway. I'm proud of myself for finally taking care of myself. It's not easy after a decade of neglecting my health because of mental health and addiction. Now with sobriety and mostly stable state of mind I'm actually able to take responsibility and get help and try my best. I still struggle with basic needs but I'm getting there.

Also, I won't be posting much until I fix my game. I went far over the object limit and my game is being funky. I'm trying to get rid of CC but honestly it's difficult. I just don't want to really get rid of much. Idk why I'm so greedy tbh. I need to just get rid of buy/build stuff with no excuses. I suppose going through deco objects could help because those I have too much. Idk. Sucks. I shouldn't have went on a downloading spree! I really should've waited to see if the object limit fix actually works before foolishly going over the limit. Oh well. You live and learn.

Additional Object Limit Issue

UPDATE: Might have already solved it, just testing now!

UPDATE 2: I have fixed the objects being unselectable, but their functionality seems to be broken when placing them...

Whelp, I knew the fix seemed a bit too simple...

To be brief, there appears to be an issue where some objects (seemingly always Maxis ones) become unselectable in the Build/Buy catalogue when using a non-specific amount of CC with the object limit fix.

Having reproduced the bug and observed what's happening in the debugger, I can see that the data for these objects is null, meaning the game has soiled itself (as usual) and failed to properly initialise the data at an earlier point in the code.

This means my patch is technically working as intended, as it's preventing the game from crashing in these instances, but the core problem remains unsolved, which is determining where this null data is coming from and what is failing for it to be created.

I'm not sure how easy it's going to be to figure out and fix, but rest assured, I am currently working on trying to resolve it.

Idk about y'all but whenever I'm like hey, maybe I'll download just a few new things I end going on a cc downloading spree with multiple windows and tabs open because I keep getting sidetracked. Is this normal?! Now I'm confused about what exactly I've been trying to achieve because I meant to download this and that but then I thought about something else and clicked an interesting link and.... It just keeps going! It's like trying to do multiple side quests at the same time.

I woke up today with my cheek/jaw swollen and in pain 😭 And it's Sunday and living in the middle of nowhere means we have to drive an hour to get to the ER because that's the only place that can help on a weekend. AND it's the first day of my period and I'm in so much pain.

I'm also scared and I've been crying and lashing out in anger (I'm not regulated emotionally yet but it's no excuse) because instead of support and understanding for my actual fear of dentists I'm just getting blamed for not being an adult and taking care of my health. As of there's no nuance to it all. Trauma and mental illness has always made it difficult for me to function. How is it so difficult to understand?

I already had a panic attack. We also ran out of food today and tomorrow thankfully there'll be money but it's little help today. So that's great. I need to eat every few hours because my stomach gets empty so fast and I feel awful without food. I cannot survive without it for long because of how my health is. Everything sucks today and I feel even more depressed. Mu suicidal ideation is to the roof today tbh.

I'm trying to ground and calm down now in the garden. Toads croaking, birds singing, sunshine and a breeze. It helps a lot more than any hug or words could. I need to shower before I'm going anywhere tbh and showering is also something I struggle with due to trauma. Today I have to push myself to face my fears and be an adult. But I feel like a lost little child thanks to trauma. I almost miss numbing myself with substances. But I know it's better this way. I just don't want to have emotions at all. Ugh.

Here's how my spring is going so far ❤️✨ I've been painting, journaling (not pictured) and enjoying nature. I started creating art this year after like a decade of not creating art apart from a few times over the years. Mixed media is so wonderful! The paintings I'm sharing in this post are watercolour and acrylic gouache. It's fun when you stop chasing perfection, especially as an amateur artist!
