How either team reacts when they first figure out they like someone and what they would do about it.? (I'm sorry I'm sending you so many, I just, really want to support your blog because it's so cool!)

(oh, no i don’t mind at all! I’m so glad I have a cutie like you supporting my blog v u v and oiwehfohsiohodhzhihfwpsdk; this blog is cool??? i’m just typing characterized sentences in my pajamas! but honestly, thank you! <3) 

Makoto: It might hit him out of nowhere, like maybe one day they were talking and the way they smiled at him made his heart pound way too fast and he kept getting the feeling that he wanted to be by their side. He’d dwell over it for a long time, trying to figure out if his feelings were genuine and what his crush thought about him. Eventually it would get to the point where it would be painful to let them go out with someone else and he’d end up confessing clumsily, even if he wasn’t mentally or verbally prepared for it.

Haruka: When he realizes it, he wouldn’t be too surprised. It would be more of an “Oh, I do like them after all,” realization. Though they wouldn’t notice it he’d be looking out for them subtly, doing little things like making them lunch and inviting them over and getting jealous when they were too friendly with someone else. He wouldn’t be as focused on getting them to return his affections as he would be just to be able to stay by their side, and that would make him happy enough. 

Nagisa: Nagisa’s mind goes into overdrive the second he meets someone he finds interesting, so he ends up questioning himself a lot. “Do I like them? Was it love at first sight? Am I in love?” He’d be confused about how he actually feels, rather settling on the fact that he was happy to be with them; he didn’t see them as a friend, nor did he see them as a crush. When he gets to see all the different sides of a person he’d fall in love, and then joke about being in love even more to the point where it’s obvious.

Rei: Like Makoto, his realization would probably hit him in the side of the head unexpectedly and his face would go red like a tomato. He’d spend days wondering if maybe he was sick, maybe humans are triggered by sweet smiles and compliments and it has an affect on the brain. He might talk to Nagisa about it, and it would take a lot of convincing from him and mulling over his thoughts before he fully acknowledges that he’s in love. He would make up excuses to try to be with them and shower them in presents, even if he’s stiff and red-faced the whole time up until he confesses.

Rin: Rin would most likely notice his feelings in the heat of the moment. Like Nagisa, he’d be one to fall in love once he’s seen the depths of a person who trusts him wholeheartedly. He’d stand in his room with a red face and his hands in fists, wondering if this was the sort of love all the heroines in Gou’s shoujo manga experienced, and strangely enough, he’d like the feeling of being in love. He’d like being depended on, but he’s completely lost on how to show he likes them without seeming too weird. It might come out in awkward hints, and his crush might have to be the one to confront his feelings. 

Sousuke: Sousuke never denies his feelings; he knows what he’s feeling because he doesn’t see a reason to deny it. If his heart says that he’s in love, he’s in love, and he might have even seen it coming for a while now. He’d quickly make advances onto his crush without the slightest bit of hesitation or worry that he was being too obvious; if anything, he wanted his crush to know that he was in love with them, and if they were still oblivious or weren’t questioning his feelings by that point he’d take their face in his hands and tell them straight out that he wanted to be with them.

Nitori: Nitori seems likely to realize he’s in love after being away from them for a while or if he doesn’t see them as much. He’s always considered his friend to be important to him, that’s a given, but it’s the way that they won’t ever leave his mind that really gets him confronting his feelings and asking the tough question of if he’s really in love. Every time they’d say something he’d be happy just to hear them speak, and it broke his heart to see them upset. Nitori would talk to his crush about this after a while, but indirectly confessing by asking if they’ve ever met someone who made them feel that way too. 

Seijuurou: Like Sousuke, he has no problem with accepting the fact that he’s in love, and wouldn’t act too differently besides smiling wider than usual and rambling on about how great the world is. Regardless of if they know of his feelings or not, he’d make it obvious with huge amounts of physical contact, from linking arms to rubbing their head to even kissing them on the cheek when they’re least expecting it, he’d go on powerfully and confidently with his feelings, trying anything to win them over.

Momotarou: Momo would be one to fall in love extremely easily, even considering himself to be in love if someone shares a popsicle with him. But what would really get him head-over-heels would be a sincere compliment from his friend, and then he might just stare in awe at them for a few minutes with shining eyes. After that, every waking minute he’d have his crush on his mind, only questioning his feelings for a quick second before it goes completely out of control. He’d be protective, clingy, and even leave “anonymous” love letters in their shoe locker, trying to be secretive about his feelings but failing miserably.

Iwatobi + Samezuka seeing their partner crying? (good luck with the blog, btw :3)

Makoto: The second he sees them crying he’ll drop everything and rush over to their side right away, hands hovering over his partner’s shoulders and wondering if it would be okay to touch them. “_-______! Are you alright? You’re not hurt anywhere, are you? Did something happen…?” If they can’t reply through their tears, he’ll go quiet and simply take them into his arms, holding them tightly and petting their hair while whispering comforting words into their ear and that he was there for them no matter what.

Haruka: He’s not sure how to handle the situation at all. He just walks in to see his partner crying and he has no idea what to do, or why they’re crying, but he’d still go over to them and lightly touch their shoulder. “Are you okay? What happened?” If they can’t respond, it’d be likely that he’d sit them down on a bed or a couch and rub their back with eyes full of concern. He wouldn’t move away if they turned to hug him or cry into his shirt, either. “Is there anything I can do…?” 

Nagisa: His initial reaction would be utter shock, and he might stand there for a while with his heart completely breaking at the sight of his partner crying. It would take a few seconds to process the scene before he runs to their side, taking their face into his hands and wiping away their tears with his fingers. “Oh, no… ____-chan, what’s wrong? Did someone make you cry? Are you sad?” Even if they could still answer, he’d hug them tight and nuzzle his way into their hair. “It’s okay, I’m here now.” 

Rei: “______!” He wouldn’t hesitate to cry out and rush towards them either. “Are you alright?” The only thing he’d find himself able to do is sit next to them and press their head to his chest, holding them close and rubbing small circles on their back. He wouldn’t need them to explain what happened and would wait for them to stop shaking before asking again what happened. The least he could do is hope that he could be comforting to some degree. 

Rin: Surprisingly enough, he might be one of the touchiest out of the boys so far. He’d run right over and kneel down in front of them, holding their shoulders. “Hey. Is something wrong? Sorry I wasn’t here earlier.” Rin would feel genuinely guilty that he wasn’t there to know the reason behind his partner’s crying, but he’d wrap them up in a strong embrace and rock them back and forth gently while running his fingers through their hair. “Don’t cry.” Once they calm down, he’d hold their face and wipe away any leftover tears before kissing them softly on the lips to let them know he was here for them. 

Sousuke:He’d only take a second to comprehend the scene in front of him before sitting down next to them and kissing away their tears without a word. Sousuke would pull their head into his neck with a hand and keep it there, kissing the top of their head and letting them cry. “Don’t worry. I’m here.” When their tears stop and are reduced to sniffles and shaking he’d still hold them tight in his arms until they chose to speak again. He’s surprisingly patient when it comes to comforting others. 

Nitori: He’d actually take the methods similar to Makoto’s, in which he’d only pay attention to his partner’s well-being rather than anything he was previously doing. His more mature side would come out, wiping away their tears and laying their head on his lap while waiting for them to calm down and tell him what was wrong. “Please don’t cry… Seeing you upset hurts me, too.” 

Seijuurou: The usually-upbeat captain’s face would go almost frighteningly serious when he sees the damage that’s done. He’d barely say a word and instead drape his jacket over their shoulders before wrapping an arm around them and pulling them into him. Seijuurou might not have much experience with comforting those who are crying, but he’s quite good at it given the chance. When they finally calm down, there are two things he could say: “Feeling better?” or “Who made you cry?” And he’d be completely serious about the last one.

Momotarou: Unfortunately for Momo, he wasn’t exactly blessed with the charisma his older brother has and most likely would fumble around like a confused chicken. “U-Uh, what do I do, what do I do?! D-Don’t cry, okay? Everyone always looks better with a smile! Uh… um… Oh! I got it! I’ll treat you to ice cream later! S-So don’t cry, okay?” The key to getting his partner to calm down would most likely be when they pay attention to him and he happens to trip over his words, resulting in a shaky smile or laugh. He’d be better off starting from there and then maybe awkwardly giving his partner a hug and a kiss on the forehead.

How would the boys react if their walking outside with their girlfriend who fusses over them as she wraps her scarf around his neck because they haven't dressed warmly enough? (Btw, great job with this blog~ You really capture the personality of the Free boys~ ^_^)

(oh thank you so much this is so cute //w// you didn’t mention which specific team, so i’ll assume you mean both, but please mention it next time! ^^)

Makoto: He smiles at her because she needs to go on her tiptoes to wrap her scarf around him, but he holds onto her hand as she does so. “Eh? Oh, I’m okay. I’m more worried about you catching a cold.” Even a simple gesture like that touches him.

Haruka: He hopes that the blush on his face will just pass over as something from the cold, but surely she can feel how warm his cheeks are from embarrassment. “I-I’m fine, you should worry about yourself.” In the end they end up sharing the scarf with their hands in his pocket.

Nagisa: Nagisa loves being spoiled by her, so he accepts the gesture openly, nuzzling her hand a little as she wraps the scarf around his neck. “Oh, but aren’t you cold, ___-chan?” He smiles brightly at her. “We should share it, then!”

Rei: It’s rare that he’d miscalculate how cold it was going to be that day, but he’s still embarrassed by her actions. “Y-You don’t need to do such a thing, I’m not a child. If anything, you should be more careful!” He’s a blushing mess five seconds later, burying his nose into the scarf.

Rin: He quirks an eyebrow at her. “H-Hey, I’m fine, you know. What about you?” To compromise for the gift, he holds her hand tightly in his pocket and blushing; he secretly loves to wear it and pull it over his nose because it’s warm and smells like her.

Sousuke: “You sure? You’ll get cold, though.” In exchange for the scarf, he smiles and pulls his arm out of his coat to drape the empty space over her. “Is it warmer like this?” Warm and content, he grins to himself and keeps her close, suddenly enjoying the winter a lot more.

Nitori: He flails his hands a little bit and holds onto it, not letting her move it to his neck. “No, you can’t! I’d rather catch a cold than have you get cold! It’s not fair, isn’t it?” He’d feel guilty for accepting it, but eventually smile and wrap it around her neck too.

Seijuurou: “Oh? Thanks! I was getting pretty cold, but you don’t need to worry about me. They say the cold can’t ever beat a hot heart!” He grins and points a thumb to his chest, but still sighs with a smile as she scolds him. “You really worry too much, you know that?”

Momotarou: He scratches the back of his neck and laughs sheepishly. “Oh, thanks a lot. I keep forgetting my scarf and it’s really a pain!” He smiles and takes her hand. “Your neck might be cold, though. I’ll buy you one as a gift though, so let me have this one, okay? It smells like you and I like that!”

Samezuka boys reacting if there s/o sneaked into their dorm and surprised them?

Rin: He jumps, and his jaw drops. He’d just gotten out of the shower after practice when his partner suddenly decided to surprise him the moment he came out of the bathroom. “W-Whoa, what’re you doing here?! Call me before you decide to show up like that, idiot!” He bumps his fist on their head lightly, but he’s blushing and it’s obvious that he isn’t really mad. 

Sousuke: “What- oh. And what’re you up to?” He feigns a calm front at first, but pulls them into a tight hug with a grin. “Did you even tell anyone you were coming?” He doesn’t really care that they snuck in, but when he offers to show them around they end up getting lost. (Not that his partner would mind, since it means more time with him.)

Nitori: His entire face lights up, overjoyed that they came to see him, but quickly starts to fuss over everything: “Ahhh, my room’s a mess, don’t look just yet, okay? Did you even sign in as a visitor? What’ll we do if someone else sees you?” He’s sputtering out of both worry and excitement, but one hug and a kiss is enough to convince him it’ll be okay.

Momotarou: He whoops in joy and pounces on them right away before they can even finish saying “surprise”, making them both nearly fall over. “Heyyyyy, you didn’t tell me you were coming over! Not fair! As punishment, you get tickled!” He cuddles them from behind and talks their ear off about how much he missed them (regardless of how long it was they went without seeing each other), whining and clinging to them if they try to go. 

Seijuurou: It’s likely that they’d bump right into his chest without him noticing, but he just laughs and grins widely when he sees them. “Oh, what’s this all about? Guess you’ll have to stay a while and tell me about it.” He wraps them up in a blanket burrito and nuzzles their nose lovingly; he’s a real sucker for spontaneous things like this.

Makoto, Sousuke and Sei reacting to having a short gf who wants to initiate a kiss with him or to surprise him with a sudden kiss but is too short to reach his face

Makoto: He can’t help but start laughing at the sight of his tiny girlfriend trying to give him a kiss, but it’s so incredibly cute his heart swells a little watching her. “Sorry, sorry! A kiss, right?” He bends down a little to press a small kiss to her lips and pets her hair softly. He’s so happy, it just slips out: “I love you.”

Sousuke: “You can’t reach me like that.” He teases with an irritatingly attractive smile, not even moving an inch to help his girlfriend get a little closer to his face. Though it is cute, he doesn’t want to get her in too bad of a mood from his teasing. So he tips her chin up and kisses her, patting her on the head and smiling from the stunned look on her face.

Seijuurou: He totally plays it up to eleven, slapping his wrist to his forehead and dramatically whining: “Oh, no! How will you ever reach me now?” He grins happily down at her. “I feel like a giant.” He bends down and picks her up bridal-style, liking the way she fits in his arms. He kisses her on the cheek instead and nuzzles it. “You’re too cute.” He groans.

Could I request a scenario where Style 5 + Sousuke get jealous over a stuffed animal because their SO prefers cuddling with it over them?

Makoto: His face falls a bit when he sees his partner reach for their favorite stuffed animal again as they get ready to go to bed, but he just smiles a bit sheepishly. “Hey… if it’s not too much to ask, would you mind if I maybe…” He can’t finish his sentence, and he gently hugs his partner from behind instead. “Sorry… You’re cute when you sleep like this, but sometimes I want to hug you too, you know?” He kisses them on the cheek. 

Haruka: He’s not subtle with his emotions at all and starts pouting. He won’t say a word to his partner, since he’s a little annoyed they don’t get how he feels. He curls himself up in the blankets and turns away from them. When they finally bug him enough, he frowns and mumbles into his hands: “What? Am I not good enough?” His s/o definitely won’t miss the reddening of his ears. 

Nagisa: “Ehhhhh, ___-chan, again?” Nagisa pouts and crosses his legs on the bed. “Your stuffie is cute and so are you, but you totally don’t get how I feel at all!” He frowns and tugs at their hands idly. “When we sleep together and you’re not holding onto me somewhere, I feel lonely, y’know!” He leans in closer to softly kiss his partner, and stares at them with pleading eyes. “Cuddle with me tonight, okay?”

Rei: It’s completely illogical for him to be harboring envy towards a stuffed animal of all things, but it does make him feel a bit slighted to see his partner settling down with it again. “Again?” He sighs. “I would assume that you would only need to hug a stuffed animal if I weren’t around.” The last part comes out muttered: “There’s no reason why I won’t do.” His face goes red. “T-Tonight, I’d like to be the one you hold onto to sleep!” 

Rin: He leans his chin into his palm and quirks an eyebrow. “You really like that thing, don’t you?” He rubs the back of his neck. “N-Nah, it’s not a bad thing, but do you really need it to sleep that bad?” His partner still doesn’t seem to get what he’s implying, and he reddens before grabbing their hands and looping them around his neck. “Idiot. I’m saying…” He mumbles the last bit into their neck. “You can cling to me instead.” 

Sousuke: “You really are like a kid.” He notes nonchalantly. “Are you gonna hug that to sleep again tonight?” With a sigh, he flops back down onto the bed. “Well, what about me? Let’s say that you need to hug that to sleep properly. What if…” He slowly pries the stuffie from their arms and kisses their forehead. “The thing I need to hug is you?” He chuckles and hugs them close to him. “Sorry, but you’re sleeping with me tonight.”

Rin, Sousuke, Makoto and Seijuurou's reactions to their s.o cooking something for them BUT it tastes horrible. Would they tell the truth or lie to not hurt their feelings? XD

Makoto: He’d hope his partner couldn’t see how his face was visibly paling the moment their cooking touched his tongue, but he immediately plasters on the happiest fake smile when he sees them staring at him so expectantly. “I-It’s really good! You should teach me how to cook sometime, too.” He immediately regrets saying that since he’s not any better than them, but he can at least stop them from doing things like overcooking or adding random ingredients next time.

Rin: He coughs a few times and has to cover his mouth with his hand for a while, looking away from his partner since he had to figure out how he was going to word this. “It’s… not bad, but…” He groans and gives up. “Ah, sorry! It’s pretty bad. How did you even mix up the sugar and salt? Aren’t they labeled?” He lectures them for a few minutes on kitchen safety and how to keep everything organized, but he feels so guilty over their disappointed face he has to kiss them on the forehead.

Sousuke: His eyebrow twitches and he nearly chokes, but he keeps it together until he can swallow the first bite. “…It’s good,” he mumbles from around the spoon in his mouth, biting on it gently to distract himself from what he just ate. Unfortunately his partner would be able to see through his horrible acting and call him out, saying he didn’t need to lie, but he just shakes his head like it’s not registering in his brain. “What, what’re you saying, it’s good. I said, it’s good. What, I’m not lying-” He forces himself to keep eating and ends up wrestling his partner for the spoon.

Seijuurou: No matter how unappealing the dish looks at first glance, his smiling partner waiting for him to eat it would end up making him smile, too. After his loud declaration of joy he’d start eating, but then go blue in the face from how bad it tasted. (Surely his partner would notice his pained expression and start to worry.) Without another word he’d quickly shove all of it into his mouth and down an entire glass of water, even if he felt like he’d throw up at any second now. He ruffles their hair with a big smile and a thumbs-up. “Thanks for the food! Ah, that was good. How about we try cooking together next time?”

How would Makoto, Nagisa, Rin, Sousuke and Seijuurou react to their s/o suddenly cuddling up to them and being really affectionate. (more than usual) Please?

Makoto: “Oh-” He jumps lightly when his partner suddenly leans against him andtakes his hand in theirs, and he can feel himself growing warm when they pressa kiss onto his cheek. He’s at a loss for what to do for a moment, but hesmiles happily and blushes while squeezing their hand back. A sudden rush ofhappiness takes over him, and he can’t help but laugh softly and kiss themgently on the lips. They always knew just how to spoil him.

Nagisa: His entire face lights up when his partner cuddles up to him, and hegiggles and kisses them on both cheeks with a happy blush. He lets the momentsink in for a while rather than saying anything, and laces their fingerstogether with the most loving look in his eyes. He ends up laughing out loudand runs a hand through their hair. “Jeez, ___-chan, if you keep being so cute,I’ll end up getting a sugar rush!”

Rin: “Hey, what’re you…” He can’t finish his sentence from how cute hispartner is being, suddenly snuggling up to him like that and kissing him. Itmakes him more embarrassed than anything he could ever describe, and all he cando for the first few seconds is look away and cover his mouth with his hand.Still red, he glances at them and pulls them in even closer with a sigh. “Okay,fine. Just for a little, got it?” He smiles anyway, and they stay like that formuch longer than an hour.

Sousuke: He’d been watching TV when his partner decided to attack him withhugs, but he just smiles and doesn’t look at them, pretending he didn’t noticetheir sudden affection. Just as they started to get irritated from the lack ofreaction, he brushes away their hair and kisses them right on the forehead.With the tables turned and his partner being the flustered one, he pulls theminto his lap and falls back onto the couch, content with them in his arms. “Juststay here for a little.”

Seijuurou: “Hm?” He raises an eyebrow when his partner slides over tohim, but he can tell what they’re getting at right away and pulls them closerwith a wide smile. When they look up at him he can nearly feel his heart swelling, and he taps their nose playfully. “So nowyou’re feeling especially cuddly, aren’t you? That’s fine. Cling to me all youwant.” He seems to be the one doing the clinging, though, and he murmurs intotheir neck: “I really love this side of you, too.”

amezuka and iwatobi's S/O making them honmei-choco for Valentine's Day and giving it to them. How would they react? (´▽`ʃƪ)♡

Makoto: His eyes go wide when he sees the box, and he can’t help butsmile happily with pink cheeks. “Honmei? For me?” He holds it carefully inhis hands and kisses his partner on the cheek. “Thank you so much.” Whenhe pulls away, he looks a bit sheepish. “I-I’m not too good at makingsweets, but I’ll try to return the favor on White Day, okay?” 

Haruka: He’s not even used to getting obligatory chocolate fromanyone, so when his partner offers him the box of chocolates all he can do isstare for a good second or two. “…You’re giving these to me?” His partnerlaughs at his dumbfounded look, and Haru takes the box a bit bashfully. Hemumbles: “This is the first time I’ve gotten honmei chocolate.” He presses hisforehead to their shoulder. “…Thank you.”

Nagisa:He gasps loudly and cradles the tied bag in his hands as if it were made ofglass, nearly bouncing up and down in happiness. “Honmei-choco! ___-chan, youmade these for me?” An overjoyed blush darkens his cheeks as he stares at themlovingly. “Thank you! I’m so happy! Ah, it almost feels like a waste if I wereto eat them!” He hugs his partner tightly and rocks from side to side.

Rei: “F-Forme?” He stutters out, going red just from seeing the chocolates. “These arehomemade, aren’t they? Thank you…” He goes quiet and just stares for a while,until his partner calls him back. “O-Oh, I’m sorry, I was just in thought.Honestly… I’m very happy. So much so that I almost don’t know what to say.” Heplaces his hands on their shoulders and kisses them on the forehead softly. “Pleaselet me show my thanks on White Day.”

Rin: “W-Whoa…Those are… Honmei, right?” He coughs into his fist and tries to look as calm aspossible by averting his gaze lightly. “Thanks… I’ll take them.” His partnerdefinitely wouldn’t miss the growing blush on his face, and Rin gets defensivewhen they point it out. “S-Stupid, of course I’d get flustered over somethinglike this! Because… you made them.” He presses a light kiss to their lips,letting his actions speak instead.

Sousuke: “Oh.”That’s all he can really say when his partner presents him with the box ofhomemade chocolates. Of course, he’s happy, but he just doesn’t know what elseto say. He rubs the back of his neck and smiles. “Thanks. I kinda forgot it wasValentine’s Day, so this is a pretty good reminder.” He chuckles and kissesthem on the nose. “Homemade honmei chocolate. That’s cute. You’re cute.”

Seijuurou: “Well,well, well, what’s this?” He’s grinning from ear to ear as he takes the boxfrom his partner. “Valentine’s chocolate, huh? Oh, and it’s homemade! Youreally went all out, didn’t you?” He laughs and pinches their cheek lightly. “Justfor me. Thanks.” He bends down to kiss his partner, then picks them up in hisarms with sparkling eyes. “I’ll double this on White Day, got it?”

Momotarou: “H-H-H-Honmei…chocolate…” His hands are shaking, a galaxy in his eyes as he stares at the boxin front of them. Rather than taking them, he resorts to jumping on his partnerin a smothering hug with tears in his eyes. “Thanks! Seriously, thank you!” Hewails, rocking back and forth. “This is the first time in my entire life I’ve evergotten honmei! Make it for me every year, okay? Promise!” He showers their facein kisses, feeling on top of the moon.

I was never planning on posting something on Tumblr during No Content November, but this idea has been stuck in my head since I saw Mando 2x03 and on top of that, people kept tweeting ideas on Twitter and now this thing is born… be gentle. I’ve been hesitant to write for him since I started the show last year. I played a little bit with what we know of Din’s past for the sake of this plot. 

Without further ado, hurt/comfort galore! 2x03 spoilers!

  “Drowning.” He replies, soft and quiet as he processes the last three days in the midst of the silence. “Almost drowning.. and thinking about how you’d cope when I was gone.” 

If I was gone. 

Maybe the world would be better off. That’s what Din thinks. That thought lingers for a split second in his mind until he sees the desperation in your aspect and how you need him to understand that this world is a better place with him in it. 

The Watch didn’t allow him attachments. They didn’t allow him to feel. He was a warrior. 

He was a warrior, and the entrance of you and The Child made his hardened heart soft.

Din Djarin x Reader

Warnings: Self Doubt, feelings of betrayal, hurt/comfort.

A/N: I know we haven’t seen how Din reacts to this information about the Death Watch, but I just have a feeling he is going to be very very confused and hurt. Who wouldn’t be? So here’s my take on how he may react, the things he may be feeling, and how the reader helps him. Sorry, If this seems out of character or doesn’t align with what most think but I just needed to get my thought out there and on paper!

Din hadn’t said so much as a word since you both left the water planet. You had several hours in hyperspace until you reached the forest planet where the Jedi reside, and all Din has done is stare out the viewport of the crest. You knew it was best not to talk to Din until he was ready, the information that was dumped on him was a lot, and he needed time. 

This, however, gave you time to do some research on your datapad. There wasn’t much on the holonet about Mandalore but there was enough for you to finally understand what Bo-Katan’s words meant. The Death Watch was a radical sect of Mandalorians that wanted to overthrow the pacifist government of Mandalore. Going as far as to side with the separatists in order to try and overthrow the ruler Duchess Satine, in order to take over the planet. But you know Din, and from what he’s told you of his covert and his tribe, they aren’t Death Watch. The things he and his tribe believe in aren’t inherently evil or wrong, but they come from a radical group. But you’ve witnessed Din and his people risk their lives for others, his covert was destroyed to save him and the child. 

But you know none of that will matter to Din.

You know how his mind works. He’s going to jump to conclusions, question himself, and everything he’s known. And he does just that. 

You had just finished reading when Din had turned to you, asking you what you were doing. You don’t want to lie, but he didn’t even give you a chance to explain. He just gently took the datapad from your hands and read over the words on the screen before standing up abruptly and leaving the cockpit. You follow after him immediately, concerned for him and where his mind is going. 

“Din, you don’t need to listen to that stuff,” you tell him, “none of it matters-“

“None of it matters?” He stops his pacing and shouts, voice booming in the empty hull of the ship. You stay silent as he continues. 

“My entire life is a lie!” He bellows, “Everything I’ve known and believed in, my whole life is based on beliefs from a group of- of terrorists!” 

His breathing is ragged as he stops, his shoulders shaking with each movement as if it’s a chore to try and take air into his lungs. The datapad drops from his hand and onto the floor with a clang, And he follows soon after, his knees connecting with the floor roughly as he falls to the ground. Distorted, painful sounds slip from the helmets modulator. 

You realize after a moment, that they are sobs. 

It feels like your heart shatters in your chest when you finally understand what’s happening. You walk over to where he is, on the door, and drop to your knees in front of him, pulling him into you. His arms immediately wrap around you in a vice grip, fingers digging into your sides as he fights for something to keep him grounded. Before long he plunges the space into darkness and all but rips his helmet off before returning to you, nuzzling his face into your neck as quiet, stuttered breaths continue to fall from his lips. With one hand on his back and one in his hair, you wait until he has calmed down enough to hear your words.

“I’m so sorry, Din,” you whisper, pressing a gentle kiss to the exposed skin on his neck. 

“I know this is… hard,” you say, struggling to find words that you know will comfort the broken man in front of you, “But just because of who the beliefs come from doesn’t mean they’re bad,” you explain, “your tribe risked their lives, gave their lives, to save you and the child and they knew the price. And you,” you run your fingers through his hair slowly, “you’ve risked your lives for me and the kid more times than I can count. That has to count for something- that does count for something,” you say firmly. 

Din doesn’t say anything, just pulls you closer to him, so you continue once more.

“I can’t even imagine what you’re feeling right now, but just know that just because you’re beliefs are different, none of them are inherently bad or meant to cause other harm so it’s okay,” you reassure him, “I know it might not help but just know that it isn’t your fault, you couldn’t have known, and you aren’t any less of the man I know as Din Djarin just because of what a few other Mandos said. I love you, Din. So much. And I’m so so sorry.” 

Your words ring out in the otherwise silent space and you feel Din’s grip on you tighten before loosening lightly as he lets out a deep, shaky breath. He pulls away from you slightly, just enough to press a gentle kiss to your lips before returning to his position and hugging you tightly again. 

“I love you, cyare,” he breathes, voice still thick with emotion, “Thank you.” 

You sigh, opting not to say anything, and instead just holding your Mandalorian in your arms.

summary: things quickly turn south when the mandalorian (din djarin) is wounded and he has two last words that haunt you

warnings: angst, blood, and death

a/n: hi there! this is my first time posting a story in a while so i hope you enjoy it! p.s. this story is more like an au rather than canon to the show. DO NOT REPOST THIS STORY ANYWHERE ELSE!

“din.”

“w-what did you just say?” your voice shakes so much that you’re not even sure how you managed to speak at all.

“din...” he repeats, confirming you had heard him correctly the first time. “...din djarin.”

a million things run through your head, but you can’t possibly pinpoint what he’s trying to get at. you desperately try coaxing it out of him as your shaky hands cup both sides of his helmet.

“who is that? d-do you need me to contact them?”

a raspy cough comes from his modulator, making your vision blur with tears. the true helplessness of the current situation sinks into your bones — there was nothing you could do to save him, the razor crest had been destroyed beyond repair and there were only enemies on this planet. soon, they would be here within minutes to execute you next.

you were stuck watching the mandalorian die in your arms.

“my name...my name is din djarin.” the dying man clarifies in between heavy breaths.

this isn’t how you wanted to learn it, not when he was on his last few breaths of life.

“stop talking, you need to conserve energy.” you tried to reason despite knowing full well there was no way out of this. “m-maybe i can send a transmission and someone’ll come—”

a horrible gasping noise began escaping din, making you prop him up into a sitting position as if that’d help him breathe through the blood seeping into his lungs. the mandalorian placed a gloved hand against your cheek, his thumb softly stroking circles into the tear-stained skin.

“say it,” he manages despite the way his chest moves awkwardly, clearly struggling to catch a breath. “say my name. i-i want to hear you say it, at least once.”

you nod with tears filling your vision again. “d-din. din djarin.” suddenly your chest burns and you’re sobbing, helplessly resting your forehead against the visor of his helmet. “i love you.”

din’s hand leaves your cheek to grasp the bottom of his helmet, making you lean back in confusion. was the mask making it harder to breathe?

“s-show...you...” he rasps.

your free hand rests over one of his, momentarily stopping him when you realized what he was doing. “no, not like this.”

din doesn’t move for a few seconds, which seems like an eternity to you as your reflection stares helplessly into the t-shaped visor. there was no telling what he was thinking.

suddenly, his hands slide up his face and piece by piece you watch as his pale chin is revealed, then his lips, and before you can stop him again, the metallic clang of baskar is heard.

there’s blood pouring out of din’s nose and his eyes look so tired, but you simply cradle his bare face. there’s no one emotion you feel, they all mix together at once — sadness, shock, fear, and love.

after pressing your forehead to his, the eerie coldness of it compared to yours doesn’t go unnoticed. “it’s going to be okay...i’ve got you, din. i’m not leaving.”

“cyar’ika...”

the weakness of his voice makes a cry escape your throat while you begin rocking back and forth in an attempt to soothe yourself, much like a child. all you can do is hug din tightly, barely hearing what he’s murmuring over the blood pounding in your ears. only when his gloved hand touches at your cheek again do you lean back to see his face.

“...ni kar’tayl gar darasuum.”

“what are you saying? i-i don’t understand...” you practically pleaded for an explanation with your eyes but the light in din’s were dimming. a glassy, far away look was filling them.

he hardly blinked now and his hand began sliding down your cheek to your throat, making you desperately capture it with your own. you did all you could to reassure him that you were still there: repeating soothing words, hand desperately massaging his now limp one, and staying in his line of sight.

seconds later, the horrible noises of din struggling to breathe stopped altogether. the deadweight of his body fell back against your left arm, making you cry hysterically, forehead pressing against his one final time.

you cried his name out so loudly in between wails until it only became an animalistic noise, no longer words but raw pain alone.

you were lucky to be alive. somehow, a sea of ships appeared in the brilliant blue sky, which at first scared you. you thought rival reinforcements were finally here to take your life and drag your lifeless body to their leader whilst tearing the expensive baskar from din’s corpse, but lo and behold it was actually your saviors.

apparently din had sent a signal via a intercom you had no idea he even had; alerting his creed to your location. they had arrived to rescue you both, swooping your forms off the foreign planet and to their safe haven.

the first few months were hard, nightmares and what if’s plagued your mind at all hours. what if the creed had come sooner? would din still be alive? what if you had taken the blast instead of him?

despite it all, the mandalorians had taken you to a safe place that wasn’t their home base. only a few mandalorians stayed here, some medical attendants and the rest were wounded mandalorians, so you assimilated this location was a medical compound.

in your stay, you had gotten acquainted with the medical personal of the base, seeing them every few hours on your daily walks around the compound. one day, however, the nagging in your brain was too persistent to ignore anymore.

you had to ask.

“mando?”

the visor of this particular mandalorian’s helmet turned to you, he was the same one who had brought you food everyday since your arrival. by this point, you could tell the mandalorians apart from their armor and modulated voices. this one had faded armor and a deep voice.

“i know mandalorians have a language called mando’a. and right before he died...” your voice wavered before composing yourself. “he said two things to me in a language i didn’t know. i think maybe it was mando’a.”

there was no telling what this mandalorian was thinking — who possibly could with that helmet in the way? “do you remember what he said?”

of course you did, how could you ever forget a single detail about that horrible day?

biting down on your lower lip, you heard the words din had said ring in your ears. “he said two. the first one was cyar’ika. what does that mean?”

the mandalorian’s chest expanded as he inhaled slowly, silence filling the room for a few beats before he set down the empty tray of food. “it means ‘darling, beloved, or sweetheart.’”

your teeth was worrying your bottom lip so much that you could feel a sharp sting before tasting blood. “the second one was ni kar’tayl gar darasuum.”

the deep voice came again: “it means ‘i love you.’”
