Imagine that you were born a half human half White Tailed Deer creature that lives in the thick pines of Canada with your herd of family and friends. After the events of The Avengers, and the invasion is successfully stopped, Loki manages to evade being captured and flees to hide in a remote part of the world, even though his options are limited. He decides to head north of New York and cover his tracks as he goes along, eventually reaching a pinewood forest on the south eastern side of Canada.

Loki decides that he should take on a disguise and make it seem as though he is just a lonely man who lives in a dark forest inside a little log cabin with no ties to anyone outside the edges of the woods. Loki knows that he can’t use his magic for his daily needs, so as he heads north into the forest, he “borrows” food, clothing, weapons, furniture and a large white truck so that he doesn't have to risk getting caught by use of magic and so he can safely build a home.

It’s been months since the day he settled into his new home, in the middle of a small clearing with a relatively quiet lifestyle. The only problem is the clearing used to house your herd and you’ve since had to relocate to another, 3 miles away. The males of the herd advise the females to never approach the cabin in fear that the man will kill you and possibly discover the existence of the herd. You listen and you stay far from the man for 2 years until a snowy evening in January.

Loki is out hunting for his dinner armed with a rifle and a hunting knife, hoping to catch a deer or a fat rabbit in his search just before the snowfall is too heavy and the night finally seeps in. He has no luck until he is about 2.5 miles into the dense brush and branches of the pines. You were also out that night searching for a bushel of berries to store away it’s pickings, when you hear the crunch of snow and the breathing of a man. You freeze in fear your ears alert and your eyes wide, searching for the man to hopefully avoid your death. But just as you see his shadow, Loki says hello to you and you quietly respondYou ask why he hasn’t killed you or screamed in terror at what kind beast you really are, and he says

“Beasts can never be a lovely as you.”

Imagine being Loki’s young daughter and having a horrible nightmare one night, so you sneak into his room and ask to sleep in bed with him. He sees you crying and says yes, holding and snuggling you close as you crawl in the bed. He wants to do all he can to calm you down again. He uses his magic to make the ceiling look like the night sky, while humming a lullaby Frigga used to sing to him as a child. Soon, you fall asleep wrapped safely in his arms.
