“Have you seen my contacts?” with Iwaizumi, please.
Alicia: i’m sorry for not updating for a long time! I was busy with alot of stuff, please forgive my absence ;; I don’t know where Dree went, but I hope she comes back soon! I’ll write when I can :> let me know if he becomes too OOC! Im assuming “contacts” means contact lens btw!
It was Saturday. You were supposed to go on a date with your wonderful, sweet, beefy arms boyfriend, Iwaizumi, in an hour. The plan was simple - he will pick you up at your house, go to a nice restaurant for dinner and then watch a movie. Simple, right?
Unfortunately, you had lost your contact lens in the mess you call a house.
You never, never went out with Iwaizumi without your clear contact lens. You were too conscious of what will he think of you with your round glasses. ‘What if he thinks they look ugly on me?’ ‘What if he doesn’t like it?’ thoughts like these swamped your mind as you started to search the whole house. “Oh God…” you mumbled to yourself, “Where on earth did I put those things…” Funny, you could barely see what was across the sofa, how could you even find your contacts?
And then there came the sound of the doorbell. “Shit!” You exclaimed. Iwaizumi was here and you have not found your contacts. Way to go, (Y/N). Time sure flies fast. You ran to the door (while stumbling on some objects on the way) and took a look at the peephole. Yup, it was a blur of your boyfriend standing outside, with his hands (you assumed) in his pockets. With a sigh, you opened the door slightly and greeted him.
“Hey,” he greeted, with a smile. Thank the heavens you can roughly see him with your bad vision. “Do you mind if I come in?”
“Sure!” you chirped, opening the door wider for him to enter, and he did. Closing the door, you proceeded to where you thought he was and said, “Hajime, do you mind taking a sit at the sofa? I need to find something before we go out.” “Sure, but why are you facing the wall?” Crap. “I… um, no reason!” you blurted out in your flustered state. It’s only been a few seconds and you already made a fool of yourself. Shrugging away your embarrassment, you proceeded to open the drawers and find your contacts while squinting your eyes.
Blindness is truly a blessing from heaven.
After a few minutes of searching, with constant exasperated sighing from you, Iwaizumi turned to look at you from the couch. What on earth are you looking for? “(Y/N)? What are you looking for?” Iwaizumi asked and he saw you flinch. Without attempting to look at him, you asked him, “…Have you seen my contacts?” “What? Your contacts?” Iwaizumi questioned, “You wear contacts?”
“Um… yeah, I do.” you admitted, “Do you mind helping me find them, please?” Iwaizumi stood up and walked to you, petting your head in assurance. “Sure, where did you last see them?” You tilted your head, thinking of the last time you seen them. “I think it was in my room,” you answered him after a while, “But I already searched that area, I honestly don’t think it’s there.”
He let out a laugh at your words, “How can you be sure if you couldn’t even see where I was standing just now?” Good point. Well played, Iwaizumi.
The two of you went up to your room and searched the area. Iwaizumi then found what you didn’t want him to find - your glasses. “Hey, I found your glasses!” He exclaimed, passing them to you. You started at the object in your hand, and let a small gulp. “What’s wrong...?” he asked with slight concern in his voice. You sighed. Time to tell him the truth. “I’m not sure if these will fit me, I’ve been conscious of how these will look on me, that’s why I wear clear contacts instead of glasses the whole time.” you explained your insecurities to him, eyes averting away. It was silent until he spoke up.
“We won’t know until you try them on, right?”
You looked up in shock. Iwaizumi took the opportunity to take the glasses off your hands and put them on your face. You blinked once, then twice, and then everything became clear to you again. What you first saw, made your eyes go wide and your mouth hang.
Iwaizumi Hajime was blushing, his face matching yours exactly.
“Wow... You look so adorable...” he breathed, “Oh my god, please wear your glasses everyday.” “Thank you, Hajime.” you giggled and smiled at him, your insecurities gone in an instant. Why did you even worry in the first place? He held your hand and started to lead you to the door. “Now let’s go enjoy our date.” he said, turning behind to smile brightly at you. You returned the smile.
Needless to say, you stopped wearing contacts for a long time.
