you know what I’m gonna be honest I was always really reluctant to the ideia of a re4 remake bc why remake something that’s already perfect and a masterpiece and so iconic?? how can one replicate all that? not to mention that it doesn’t have 90s graphics like the others so a remake wasn’t really necessary on that front and for that CVX deserved a remake first

BUT NOW!!!!!!!

what we saw in the teaser trailer was really exciting imo!! needless to say that the graphics/gameplay upgrade is very welcome but it’s not only about that! might seem totally not important for some but seeing the “she’s finally wearing something functioning for a biohazard apocalypse” upgrade for ada again is really nice!! and even thought ashley’s outfit never bothered me that much bc she was abducted and didn’t go to fight the apocalypse on purpose with it, her outfit change is really nice too! and looks like they went with the beta outfit! leon’s jacket also looks very beta-y and the mood also looks very beta inspired and tbh I’m just really excited!!

also I’m really looking forward to see how they’ll tackle leon’s ptsd and hoping it’ll be more than what they did in vendetta with the “hahA Ha look hE’S drUNK” bc lots of potential there!

and ashley!!!! we may get playable ashley!!! I mean actually doing more stuff than we did in the original!! that’s also very exciting tbh!!

anyway I’m just really excited bc RE4 AMIRITE!!!!! and for all the potential this remake has and I’m praying very hard capcom doesn’t blow this one for us!!

I’m cautiously optimistic for it as well. Hopefully it won’t be microtransactions to hell and back. A lot of people give Ashley’s sections in og 4 flack, but I genuinely loved them because they would give me high blood pressure. 🤣 Not only am I looking forward to seeing how Leon is handled, I wonder if they’re going to weave in things from the old beta game like the hallucinations. Leon doesn’t look like he had much time to recuperate from his prior missions...so who knows. The regenerators are going to drop so many pants if they come back, too.
