The young girl, who the bar tender, Kusanagi, had introduced as Anna, sat on the couch across from you, staring up at you with a red marble held in front of her wide eyes. You couldn’t help but glance around nervously and play with your hands feeling as if this young girl was looking into your soul. You’d be lying if you said it wasn’t making you the slightest bit uncomfortable.
The almost eerie silence of the bar wasn’t exactly helping either.
Before you had walked in you had heard the sound of chatter and laughter booming out the door and windows but that had all seemingly stopped the moment you had walked in, asking if Mikoto was around. One of them had even gone and hid behind his friend, hiding his red face with his beanie! You’d hardly spoken a word to them and you were convinced they all hated you!
As you found yourself getting lost in thoughts of regret about deciding to come around for a quick visit while everyone was over you felt the couch dip down next to you as someone took a seat. Looking to your left you saw it was Anna who was now seated beside you and reaching out to take a hold of you hand.
“_________?” The girl quietly spoke, glancing up at you with her beautiful eyes, her hand tightly clasping yours. “I can see why Mikoto likes you. I like you red as well.”
And just like that, the seemingly tense atmosphere was broken, you felt your tense body relax as you blushed and smiled gently down at the strain, thanking her as she leant against you.
You didn’t notice it but standing at the top of the stairs was Mikoto, a small but still present smile on his face as he watched his clansmen go over and introduce themselves to you. He could see you’d be fitting in perfectly.
