Bisi Ideraabdullah, Founder and Executive Director is in Liberia visiting IMANI HOUSE Liberia's Programs. She recently held a workshop with staff. “The trainees will serve as coaches for our instructors at our two Imani House literacy sites, and our clinic, in schools and through our mobile clinic once we acquire funding to go into areas that don’t have clinics.”
Mrs. Ideraabdullah closed the occasion by commending the group for its unwavering dedication to not only completing the course, but serving the organization. “This group has courageously and tirelessly worked since 1991 through years of war, “peace,” Ebola and unimaginable hardship,” said Sis. Bisi. “To say I’m tremendously proud of them would be an understatement.”

Our mission is to work with marginalized women, youth, and families to alleviate poverty by providing educational programs and support services that help residents take responsibility for their lives and surroundings and build viable neighborhoods. In Brooklyn we offer GED Prep, ESOL, Math Classes and Information & Referrals. In Liberia we offer Adult Education in the form of Literacy and Math Classes and a Maternal & Child Health Care Clinic, which in addition to medical care also provides public health information campaigns and training. Most recently IHI worked with Proliteracy to produce and disseminate the Women’s Health Education Manual (a public health information clinic and surrounding areas. In addition, Proliteracy has provided financial support to our Adult Education programs in both the U.S. and Liberia for many years. IHI is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit agency."

#IHI#Liberia is happy to announce that Mobile Clinic services have commenced and we will soon update all parties on how that is going on.

Mrs Coleman was sharing with the community of Rossville on some of the services that will be offered when the Mobile Clinic is set up in that area.

Dear partners, friends and family, we would firstly love to wish you all a very Happy New Year and we hope we can work together in this year of 2016. We would love to apologize for the silence of not keeping the page active.
This was due to the outbreak of the Ebola virus and also other minor inconveniences we were facing, however we will try our level best to keep you up to-date with activities that we will be involved in and also outline some memories of late last year.
Imani House Liberia is not dead, this year will will be involved in many projects and programs and we ask that you will take time to read our page every time you have the opportunity to do so.
