Office Bae Drabble

It’s the last night in Alaska for the AECOM crew minus messy-boots-Calvin, Eric with the “C”, and the Three Amigos—Connie, Demetria, and Nicole. Y/N anticipated this night because she’d always wanted to see the Northern Lights up close and in person. There are a few industrial tents set up with equipment and weather technology such as AWIPS. The event is being photographed with DSLR cameras with her thermal filled with spiked hot cocoa, Y/N stood next to her man, Erik Stevens, staring up at the night sky with twinkling eyes. It was a beautiful sight to see. Erik’s gloved hand grasps hers before pulling her closer. Chilled are billowed from his mouth as he spoke to her, explaining what the Northern Lights are and how historical of an event this is. They traveled all the way to the city of Fairbanks to see it.

“…It’s actually collisions between electrically charged particles from the sun that enter the earth's atmosphere. Cool, right?” Erik said.

“More than cool. It’s breathtaking. Hey…you know what we should do?”

“What’s that?”

Erik took his onyx eyes off the sky. When Y/N met his gaze, she could see the auroral color, a pale yellowish-green, reflecting in his eyes along with the stars.

“We should travel. Have our own RV, and visit the best national parks in the US. Photograph every stop.”

“That’s actually something I’ve always planned to do when I got the time. And it’s funny that you mention our own RV. I actually have one.”

“What?!” Y/N spoke excitedly.

“Yep. It’s not back at my place since I don’t have anywhere to keep it. When we head back to LA, I can show you.”

“Please! That’s a dream of mine! I love RVs!”

“And I love you,” Erik held Y/N by the chin, “I love you, baby.”

“I love you too,” Y/N whispered.

The East Bay Dragons had a long and revered history in Northern California, and their current leadership commanded nothing but the utmost respect from the local MCs as well as their rivals. Gordon Kane, the current VP, had been working in conjunction with the Oakland charter of the Chosen Few MC to secure protection for some East Oakland hoods. Plenty members of the MC were from these areas and still had family living there, and their safety was paramount.
