‘ Is there nothing else you enjoy? ’ It wasn’t exactly a helpful question, but Brilwyn finds herself asking it anyway. She’s never been particularly adept at comforting people; her words always come out wrong, awkward, finding herself better at the hugs and gentle shushes as she says ‘it’ll be okay’. Her green eyes studying the other’s features, throwing her a gentle smile, trying to be reassuring somehow. ‘ You’re not worried something will happen here, are you? ’
it wasn’t fear, she found, but an uneasiness that latched onto her lupine heart. live tangled in the limbs of something human was new for her. she was far more comfortable in her true limbs, of a thick skinned mabari eager to please her masters with a harsh bite that put her foes down. but now her master was gone, slain and so was her body that bound her to her sense of duty and she didn’t like feeling so small. so useless. “i worry i cannot help here,” she murmured, turning her eyes to the woman before her and standing a little stiffer. “i would like to train to fight if that might be okay.”
