For most of my adult life I didn’t think I had anxiety attacks because my mother described hers as the symptoms of anxiety assault. The distinction is important!

Also it’s important to understand that while sometimes it manifests in fear for some people, it might manifest in agitation in others. Anxiety comes in different ways and comes at us from different angles, but it is anxiety.
