Here’s a little inspirational story and video.
Gabi Shull got the news as just age nine that she had Osteosarcoma, bone cancer in her leg. As you can imagine, “it was shocking, heartbreaking, scary, unnerving for young Gabi”. Osteosarcoma is a cancer of the bone that destroys tissue and weakens the bone. This is a very rare cancer, only 400 childhood cases identified per year. You can read more about her cancer and recovery here.
But the amazing thing that I wanted to show you guys, the meaning behind writing this at all, was for you guys to see this. Gabi loved many things, but overly so she loved to dance.
She went through everything, she had had her knee and lower leg amputated and her foot used as a part of Rotationplasty explained by her here. And after everything, she’s now dancing. She’s doing what she absolutely loved and wanted to do the most of all. Not only is she dancing though, she’s competing! She’s doing amazing at it too! There’s plenty of videos of her dancing if you look her up on YouTube or even just google her, but I’m going to link you to my personal favourite dances of hers <3 “Friendship” Trio, and “Curfest Dance”
This little girl is a star, and it just goes to show that if you want something bad enough, you really can get there.
I hadn’t measured my oversplits in quite a while so I was just like “hey, let’s measure and see how high they are” and it’s 35cms on my right leg 0.0
I’m having problems on my left oversplit though. It hurts a lot more to stretch for some reason, and I can’t work out why. Because of that I have been stretching it less though which is bad of me - I know. :/ any advice or reasoning? There’s quite a big gap between my left & right oversplit ability now and I want to close that gap.
