Katana v/s Ninjato
The swords have usually amazing historical facts behind them. Their make and manufacture were often decided by many factors. Some swords were the symbolic of the prestige of their owners, while others were sheer based on the utility. There were some swords that reflected the pristine work of teh sword-smith, while there were other swords that were easily available and were used for ordinary use of defence and attack.
Here we will compare two most talked about swords- Katanas and Ninjato While Katanas were the swords of Japanese Samurai who were the rulers and often belonged to the royal or elite class, Ninjato sword was a weapon used by the Ninja fighters. Ninjas were assassins who would ruthlessly kill their enemy for the purpose intended.
Let us compare these two swords:
Katana: The pride of a Samurai was his Katana sword. Teh sword was built with very high quality material and its “quality” was its uniqueness along with its features. It had a long sharp edged single blade which was curved as intended to smear through the enemy. Katana was often referred to as the “Honour Blade”. It was one of the best swords in the historical pages of Japanese battles. The Samurai would never leave his sword at any time of the day.
Ninjato sword: This sword was used mainly by the Ninja fighters. It was small unlike a Katana. Its body was mostly straight or slightly curved for easy piercing. The main aim of a Ninjato Sword was toi aid the Ninja in making a kill so there were no qualms of its quality. A ninja used his sword to suffice his purposes and so it was designed like that only.
Both of the swords were used by two opposing style of warrior techniques. This is what defined their roles and build.
