Shopping Time || Erika & Isabelle
It’s been pretty boring lately, so it was relieving when Erika said she’d be up for some shopping. Of course, there was some homework to do, but right now shopping came first. Isabelle needed a few things from the mall anyways, so why not go just now? She could do the homework later anyways. Plus she haven’t had the chance to hang out with Erika much, and she seemed like a really nice Person.
Looking at the watch, she noticed had to be at the mall in 20 minutes and was running late. Quickly the brunette grabbed her purse and threw her phone inside. “Bye Mom.” she shouted directing upstairs where her mom should be, while putting on her jacket and she was out the door already.
Making her way over to her mom’s car, Isabelle got inside. Turning the keys in the engine, she brought the car to life and drove out of the driveway on her way to the mall. After about a 15 minute ride, Isa arrived at the mall. Quickly she slipped her car in one of the free spots and walked inside the mall, already seeing Erika from far.
Erika had been having an awful week. She got into a fight with her parents, then with her older brother, then McDonalds didn't have her salad, then their milkshake machine was down, so everything was just going wrong for her. She needed an escape, so when Isabelle had brought up shopping, she was ready to jump up and hug her. But Erika had a reputation, so that was not allowed.
Before she got into her red mustang convertible, she wrote a note saying where she was going and left it on the fridge. Not that her family cared much. They weren't close. Actually, some might say they were a broken family.
She drove to the mall which only took about fifteen to twenty minutes. Erika couldn't have been happier to live that close to the mall. It was a great escape when she needed it. And right now she really needed it.
Erika walked around the mall, waiting for Isabelle to show up, which, of course, she did very soon. She ran over to the girl and hugged her, not caring about her reputation anymore. She really needed a friend, not someone that would judge her. She'd decided that if someone was going to judge her, she wouldn't pay them any attention. They just weren't worth her time. "You are an amazing person for getting me out of that house." She still hadn't let go of the girl. She simply wasn't ready to. She needed someone to be there and be nice to her. But she also didn't want to scare away the girl. She might be the only person willing to be her friend.
