Winds of Fate - Skin / Passive Skills
By now you should have heard of the breakthrough system that enables you to gain a random passive/active skill on your equipment once you enchant it to +20 or higher. NCSoft is incoporating this idea into their next moneymaker - skins with passive skills.
These skins come with set passive skills, in which both the look and effect are carried forward to whatever they are skinned on. As of now, there are 3 types of passive skills:
- Return skill cast time and cooldown decreased by 25%
- 50% increased recovery from Bandage Heal, Herb and Mana Treatment
- Flight time consumption when active and sprinting (includes both flight and mount) reduced by 30%
You are allowed to choose any one of the three skills you desire on your skin. The series include 9 selection of skins, 5* of which are already present in the game:

The other 4 (listed in the screenshots) are completely new skins. Currently, these are only obtainable via the cash shop and they’re up for a limited time only (sale ends 7 Jan 2015).
I’m not sure if I would pay for the passive skills, but I would certainly pay for the (new) skins.
