“ you better do  , otherwise we have to overthink this realtionship , because there can be only one sassy warlock! “ , he replied , as he snapped with his fingers and grinned at his boyfriend. “ oh..that..just in case you were going to something again.”, he replied teasing , leant forward and kissed his cheek and made his way up to his mouth , quickly pecking on his lips.

               a dull ‚plopp‘ echoed through the room , as magnus put the book away , he had kept in his hands all the while until alec reached the bed. a frown formed on the warlock face , as his eyes traveled over him and his hand quickly reached over to tangle in the raven dark hair , slowly starting to play with a strand of hair , as he watched him carefully. he could almost see alec was thinking , could see that the thoughts were just rushing through his mind , but he waited until alec was ready to speak his mind. „ when you‘re old and wrinkled ?“ , the warlock asked and rolled his eyes. „ even then you‘ll be  beautiful , maybe even drooling a bit“, he teased with a grin. „ oh and don‘t forget the pampers you‘ll need , because you can‘t move anymore..and i bet your snorring will be worse..“

      To Paige it was almost easy for her to act like this, and while there was that initial twinge of uncertainty about this man, she didn’t need to trust him to have sex with him. Not in her mind, anyways. Perhaps it was another form of rebellion against the “religion” her parents claimed to have, a religion that saw sex as a holy act and one that you should refrain from partaking in. Or perhaps she just didn’t really care to think too deeply on such a thing.

Not when she felt the cold surface of the shower walls against her back. Hissing in a breath through her teeth, she didn’t hesitate to tilt her head up further to give him full access, that hissing noise immediately shifting to a soft cry of pleasure. Her hand threading through his hair at the back of his head, she didn’t let go of him even as he lowered himself further down her body, his lips leaving a burning trail wherever he kissed her. Though when he kissed her breast? There wasn’t a damn thing stopping her from arching into him, fingers tightening to pull at his hair a bit as those clever fingers of his worked her other breast.

               casual sex and having sex with someone he deeply cared for were two different things for magnus. he usually tried to keep those , who caused him the well known butterflies in his stomach , the aching for the person  , when he couldn‘t be around them , away from him , too far broken from previous heartbreaks to let something like this happen again. but he could never say no to a normal affair , that just invovled the physical pleasure. especially when said lover was as attractive and pretty as paige was. his hands moved over her sides , fingers tickling the wet skin , as he completely moved down to his knees with a smirk on his lips , as his lips traveled further down , after he had pulled away from her breats , to explore more of the skin he had touched the night before as well. light kisses were pressed against her stomach , while his hands went further down , getting a grip on her hips , as he smirked up at her. his eyes move up  , meeting her honey brown ones , before he slightly pushed her thighs apart and pressed kisses over her inner thighs now , softly bitting in the skin. „ do you like it..tell me what you want , sweetheart.“, he purred against her skin , moving one of his hands down her thigh and stroking it , while he still pressed kisses over the other , humming happily.

        „ make me.“, the warlock teased with a chuckle and wrapped his arms tighter around his waist , humming happily against his lovers lips. „ i love you too.“, he whispered back , a she slowly opened his eyes and smiled even wider. „ how could i not..you‘re still the prettiest shadowhunter i came across.“, he teased.

alec waved the other’s off, only to stiffen at the obvious eyes and hand on him. oh. there was no problem at all, it appeared the man had simply gotten bored and alec was apparently supposed to change that? was he serious? alec was on duty.

he raised an eyebrow at the ‘blah blah’ line, who did this man think he was? alec didn’t care who you were or how much money you had, the law is the law. “ you’re right, i can’t, ” he said seriously.

he didn’t care how attractive the man was, which seemed to be extremely. he was here to do his job. not flirt. especially with the notorious magnus bane. he wasn’t interested in being played with. that and no one at his precinct knew he was gay.

he held back a comment. as sleazy as it sounded, he could entertain the man for the evening if it meant help in his career. nothing wrong, just conversation and give vane something to look at until something better came around. “ alec lightwood, ” he finally allowed. “ i’m fine, really, thank you. ” he did not blush at the nickname.

              „ oh , so i see , the officer here is no fun at all , mh?“ , magnus suggested , as he pursed his lips and let his eyes mover over him , before he just shrugged. he would make him fun and even if that meant he had to entertain the man himself , at least he had something to do now , that was more fun than just drinking.

„ i might be right , doesn‘t mean you can‘t break the law, well .. not that it says anywhere , that you‘re not allowed to keep a man company , while he can drink.“, he quickly replied , grining wide at him and already just walked off to the bar , as he had grabbed the strangers wrist.

once they arrived there , magnus dropped his wrist again , leaning against the counter , as he turned his head towards him and pursed his lips. „ i assume that alec is short for something.. alexander might it be ?“ , he asked curious now , before he ordered a whiskey for himself and a water for the handsome officer. „ i insist … this is still my party and it would be a shame if you don‘t drink to me at least once…and..it‘s just water , it‘s not even poisoned , i promise.“, he chuckled and held the glass out for alec as he titled his head. „ just one ..that‘s all i‘m asking for…“

alec knew all the reservations, and he also understood the scrutiny they would once again be under. though he knew that probably mattered little to magnus. however, alec had thought about it all. he knew they were both busy and workaholics, but they could do this, they could make this work. it would take changes and a hell of a lot of work, but he wanted it so badly.

“ really? ” his voice was far too hopeful to be unbiased at this point. “ you want it? ” he knew this was a far bigger burden on magnus then himself. alec had known his whole life he wanted children, while magnus had believed he’d never had them.

alec knew he was desperate for this, for a family with the man he loved, but he’d been preparing to let it go, been preparing to say goodbye to his dreams. as much as he wanted a family, he’d never push that on magnus. he loved him, and magnus was enough. but, if he was really giving this a shot, alec was more than over the moon.

“ we can adopt him? ” there was far less time and paperwork for it since he was a warlock baby left on the steps of the institute.

             magnus heart was almost aching at the hopeful voice , like he had expected him to turn him down , like he already prepared himself of the worst , that magnus wouldn‘t want that with him , that he couldn‘t see himself with a child and to be honest , before he had met alec , he couldn‘t have seen himself with a family. of course he held babies , before , but he never had to take care of one , never had the chance to be a father and it scared him to be one. it was almost more terryfing than the love he felt for alexander.

what if he fucked up ? what if he couldn‘t be the parent the child deserved to have after his mother couldn‘t bare to hold him any longer in her arms? he inhaled a deep breath , as he slowly nodded , not wanting to make him wait any longer for the answer. „of course i‘m sure. when you‘re in with me, i think we‘re capable of doing this.. and..the little one deserves a home , a family that loves him more than anything.“, he replied , as he turned his head towards the crib , where the sleeping baby boy was.

he turned his head back to the nephilim , as a smile spread across his lips and he slowly nodded. „ of course we can adopt him. i mean it shouldn‘t be too hard , since no one wanted him anway...“, he sighed sadly and pursed his lips. he knew that alec would love the little on uncondiontally , with all his heart , because that‘s how his nephilim was. and that‘s what he loved about him. „ we can give him the home he deserves, alexander.“

      Alec would never hurt Magnus by cheating on him, if he wasn’t happy in their relationship he would just tell the warlock, not sneak around with someone else behind his back. He loves the male too much to do that and he was happy with him, honestly. His eyes slip close as the male brushed his fingers over his cheeks and he melted under his touch, relaxing for the first time in a few weeks. He made a humming noise in the back of his throat, conforming Magnus’s question. “I’m happy right now.” He replied, opening his eyes once the male’s touch moved from his cheek and down his arm. He laced their fingers together and swallowed hard. “Magnus, I haven’t actually practiced this you know?” But he let himself be tugged towards the balcony, curious about what he could do himself.

     of course he blamed himself for this  , his insecurities about a save relationship since none of his former ones had a happy ending. there were a few , that were ended equally , but others ended , when he expected it the least and camille destroyed him completely. even though he had let etta in , it also ended in another heartbreak , but he could get her , she hadbeen honest with him , had told him the reasons why she left him and he had understood , but that did not make the pain easier  , nor did it help to heal his broken heart. with alec it was a new different level of love , a love he had never felt before , but with the new , strong emotions there was also the fear of losing something so true. “ mhh you’re happy..fine.”, magnus hummed and looked around. “ i am aware , that’s how magic works as well , with emotions...” , he replied and turned towards him , cupping his cheeks and kissing him again. “ now we just have to make you either , very happy or angry..”
