A soft whimper left the pale man’s lips as he tried to curl up small. Though he found that impossible since he’d fallen asleep at his desk. Instead he ended up whacking his knees on the underside of the desk, loudly I might add, before waking with a yelp of pain, jerking upright. As soon as he realised he was still at work his face flushed red. Oh that was great. He’d fallen asleep at his desk. This time it was the middle of the day so /everyone/ was there to laugh at him. He could’ve cried. But he didn’t. Instead he took a deep breath and headed to get himself coffee, trying not to look around, or think about his dream either.

He hated nightmares. Even more than he hated being embarrassed.
