You’re Rhaenyra’s daughter who got married off to Aemond before the war. Gwayne is your Harwin! Wrote the majority of this two weeks ago.

“It will all work out in the end my love.” You whisper to your crying daughter as you try and settle the babe. Already planning on what to do, your husband making himself prince regent after Aegon got burnt. It not being safe for you and Viserra in kingslanding anymore, if it ever was. “Muña will never let anything happen to you.”
“Princess? The prince regant wants you in the throne room.” A servant girl says giving you a pitiful look, knowing your husband is angry about something.
“Of course.” You respond with a forced smile, knowing it’s not the servants fault. “Ser Gwayne, may you watch my daughter?” You ask the man who only returned from the battle of rooks rest the night before. Him being your sworn protector before Cole and Aemond sent him away to fight. “I shouldn’t be long.”
“Of course princess.” He says taking the crying babe of you. Him giving you a look of worry. Dreading what Aemond could want you for.
-
“You summoned me husband?” You say curtsying when you see your husband sat on your mother’s rightful throne.
“Your bitch of a mother appears to have acquired more dragons.” He says accusatory, not true you don’t have anything to do with this. “Did you know of this?”
“How would I know?” You ask truthfully, him forbidding anyone from letting you contact anyone. You only finding out Luke dies because Alicent told you. “I have not had contact with anyone in my family since my grandsires death.”
“Then why have I heard rumours of you sending letters?” He asks as if catching you out on a lie. Him forbidding you from writing anyone.
“I sent a letter to ser Gwayne before the battle at rooksrest if that’s what you mean.” You say, him being the only one you’ve been allowed to write to. It only containing how you and your daughter were doing along with wishing he comes home safe.
“Why?”
“He’s your uncle and my sworn protector.” You responded, still not happy he got send away from you to fight in a war that should never have started. “I sent him some healing balm for the soldiers to help with any injuries.” You explain, knowing that if he somehow found the letter that’s all he’d see. “Your mother read it before I sent it, I just wished them luck and said I’d be praying for everyone’s safe return.”
“Did you pray for me?” He asks, needing any form of validation.
“Of course I did my prince.” You say not mentioning you were praying for his death, being disappointed at the news your husband was alive and well. “You are my husband.” You say factually, just wanting you leave and go back to your daughter. “May I be excused? Viserra has been fussy lately and will only sleep in my arms.”
“Wait.”
-
“Are you alright.” Gwayne whispers to you when you re enter the nursery, Visarra sleeping against his chest. Him sat leaning back on the big chair the you and the nursemaids use. Feeling guilty he can’t stop his nephew from treating you the way he does. “Do you need anything?”
“A hug.” You say moving to sit next to him, needing comfort. Him wrapping an arm around you and kissing your forehead. “Did it take her long to settle?”
“No, she fell asleep instantly.” He says looking down at the sleeping ginger girl a smile on his face, her looking like the perfect mix between Hightower and Targaryen. Her having your eyes and his hair. Or as everyone else was concerned the girl having her grandmothers hair. “She’s perfect.”
“She really is.”
-
“3 bells.” Gwayne says under his breath when he kneels next to you in the sept. You pretending to pray knowing you need an alibi while the wine gets delivered to your husband from a loyal Lord. Aegon getting the same delivery.
-
“Shhh, good girl.” You whisper, hiding your girls face in your shoulder while Gwayne checks you have everything you need. You both leaving any moment. You feeling incredibly guilty you can’t bring Helaena and her daughter with you. “Can you be quiet for me?”
“Are you ready?” Gwayne asks quietly, pack on his back and sword at his waist.
“Are you?” You ask, knowing he’s also risking everything.
“As I’ll ever be.” He says checking your door is locked before opening the secret passage that should lead you into the dragon Pitt. Stormfrye waiting.
-
“Sister?” Jace shouts in confusion from atop Vermax, your mother next to him on Syrax. You not knowing the three other men on dragons with them. You quickly climbing of stormfrye, Rhaenyra doing the same with Syrax. Her having missed you so much.
“Mother!” You shout not caring you’re being watched by multiple people you don’t even know. To relieved at seeing your mother for the first time in moons. Gwayne taking Viserra from your arms so you could run into your mother’s. “I’ve missed you so much.”
“Oh my sweet girl.” Rhaenyra cries pulling you closer into her arms, not fully believing she’s got you back. “How did you escape?”
“Ser Gwayne.” You explain, looking over at the man you love who’s holding your daughter.
“My queen.” He says walking closer before kneeling in front of your mother, holding Viserra close to his chest while he does so. “I pledge my loyalty to you.”
“Why?” Rhaenyra asks happy your home and safe but not trusting your knight. “The usurper is your nephew, is he not?”
“He is.” Gwayne confirms. “But I vowed myself to keep your daughter safe and she’s not safe there anymore.”
“Rise.” Your mother commands, her noticing the care you clearly feel for the man so letting him be. For now. “You will be watched.”
“I expect nothing less your grace.”
-
“I’m so happy you’re home.” Rhaenyra says sat at dinner with you later that evening. Your chambers being exactly the same as how you left them before the wedding.
“I’m happy to be home.” You say smiling at her. You sat next to your mother with Viserra sat in your lap while Gwayne sits next to Jace and Baela. You halfway through explaining all you know about the greens plans when Viserra starts crying.
“She probably just needs a rest, a servant-.”
“No.” You say quickly interrupting your mother when she gestures for a servant, not trusting anyone with your daughter. “I’m sorry I just.”
“I can take her.” Gwayne says knowing you need some time with your family. Him being the only person other than yourself that you trust your daughter with. “I’ve already eaten and you know that I won’t let her out of my sight.”
“Thank you.” You say a grateful look on your face.
“Shhh, my little princess there’s no need for all this noise.” Gwayne says softly to the little ginger girl as he takes her from you, resting her on his hip. “Let’s go have a nap and I can tell you a story.”
“He’s good with her.” Rhaenyra says once he left, raising an eyebrow at you, him reminding her of Harwin and the way he was with you.
“He’s her true father, isn’t he?” Jace, your elder twin by 10 minutes asks, giving you a look. Knowing you and recognising the way you look at the knight, your mother having given the same one to Ser Harwin when you were young.
“I have no clue what you’re talking about Jacaerys.” You say smirking while you take a sip of wine. You confirming your brother’s suspicions when you wink. “But I will say I’m my mother’s daughter.”
“Is he good to you?” Rhaenyra asks, just wanting you to have happiness. Hating the fact she allowed the marriage between you and Aemond, her thinking it was for the best at the time.
“He’s incredible, the best man I’ve met.” You say reassuring her that it wasn’t all bad when you were away.
“Rude.” Jace interjects smiling at Baela when she gives him a light tap at his attitude.
“Bar my brothers.” You then add giving your brother a look, thinking his and Baela look brilliant together. Knowing she’ll make an excellent queen, her clearly knowing how to deal with Jace.
“When Aemond is dead you have my permission to marry him.” Your mother announces, thinking you should be allowed to marry for love.
“Really?” You ask shocked not expecting your mother to allow it. Thinking you’d have to marry him in secret at a later date.
“Really.” She says taking your hand in hers and giving it a light squeeze.
“Thank you muña.” You say gratefully, squeezing your mothers hand he response. “And it shouldn’t be long.”
“What?” Jace asks you confused. You just smiling at your brother when a guard runs in.
“I’m sorry for interrupting my queen.” He says slightly out of breath from running. “Prince Aemond and Aegon are dead.”
Basically reader was raised dragon less until one particular day. Gone missing, presumably dead only to return dragon back.
Angsty Gwayne, looking for his wife, CAN I PLEASE ASK Gwayne threating Criston Cole? Her vanishing being his fault?
Missing
I was planning on working on something else when this request came through and I immediately started writing so two fics in one night baby!
Set before driftmark and after Rhaenyra moved to dragonstone.
Daeron and Helaena are your babies! Once again don’t think too much about Daeron calling you muña not proofread!
“I just feel sorry for Ser Gwayne.” Criston Cole laughs, stood around in the courtyard talking with some of his knights. Either unaware or not caring that you were walking through said courtyard. “Being married to a Targaryen would be bad enough but having to marry the crazy dragonless one? Poor man. At least Rhaenyra has a dragon, what does she have? Nightmares?”
You don’t bother sticking around after that, deciding to go on a walk to clear your head. Already in a bad headspace after the dream you had last night, not even Gwayne able to calm you after it. You seeing Gwayne crying and a sickly dragon dead. Unable to make out anything about the dragon other than it wasn’t well. Knowing that probably means you’ve just seen your death. It’s not you being dead that’s upsetting you, it’s how heartbroken and scared Gwayne looked. Him, Daeron and Helaena being the only happy things left in your life after Rhaenyra moved to dragonstone with her children.
Making your way out of a secret passage out of kingslanding you decide to go into the woods. Hoping you’ll find something to distract your thoughts while out there. Unaware that you’re going to find something that will change your life.
-
“Have you seen my wife?” Gwayne one of the servants, the man not having seen you all day. Him thinking you must of lost track of time in the library after you missed dinner but after checking there had been no trace of you. No one having seen you since breakfast.
“Not since I saw her walking through the courtyard just after breakfast Ser.” Your favourite servant says, her never judging when she’d find you crying after a dream.
“What was she doing?”
“She said she was just getting some air but she vanished after hearing what Ser Cristian said to his friends.” She replies, feeling guilty she couldn’t say anything to the knight without risking her life.
“What did he say?”
“It was horrible Ser, he was making comments about how she’s dragonless and that she’s, well.” The servant pauses for a moment not wanting to say it but knowing she has to. “Crazy, because of the dreams.” She explains, hating that people are so cruel.
-
“What the fuck did you say about my wife?” Gwayne shouts entering the small council meeting. Not caring that his father, sister and the king were present. To focused on the so called knight who disrespected his wife. “Tell me!”
“Gwayne, now isn’t the time.” Otto snaps, angry that his son is interrupting an important meeting. Otto trying to convince Viserys to marry Aegon to Helaena.
“Shut the fuck up.” Gwayne snaps, glaring at the man. “My wife is missing and this piece of shit has something to do with it.”
“What makes you think that? Ser Cristian is a very well respected and good knight you can’t just go accusing him-.”
“He called my wife crazy!” Gwayne shouts, not understanding how his sister can defend the man.
“Well that is not right, the princess-.”
“Say another word against her and I’ll kill you.” Gwayne threatens, not caring it’s his father who’s saying it. Him fed up with all the crap everyone says about you. “My wife, your princess, has been missing all day and no one apart from me, Daeron and Helaena seem to care!”
“My daughter is missing?” Viserys ask in shock, not having heard anything of it.
“She is.” Gwayne confirms, shooting his father a look when the man attempts to talk.
“We’ll send out search parties.”
“Your grace-.” Otto tries.
“My daughter is to be found.” The king says, looking at his son by law. “Ser gwayne you may pick your search party yourself, take the best.”
“Thank you your grace.” He says nodding at the man in thanks before looking over at the disgrace of a knight. “And Cole? If anything happens to my wife I’ll kill you.”
-
“I’m scared.” Daeron whispers as if speaking louder would made his fears come true. Him terrified something’s happened to you. Him also worrying about Gwayne as the man has refused to sleep, spending every morning looking for you.
“Don’t be.” Helaena says resting her head on Daerons shoulder, the two sleeping in your chambers wanting to comfort of your scent. “She’ll be back soon.”
-
“It’s been days brother, it’s time to admit the princess is dead.” Alicent say, attempting to be gentle. Knowing her brother does love you, despite her dislike of you she doesn’t want her brother to suffer.
“No she’s not.” Gwayne denies, already angry but that anger intensifying when he sees Cole laughing with some of his men.
“Gwayne.” Alicent says softly before noticing her brother’s direction when he storms off. “Gwayne!”
“Fuck!” Cole shouts after being punched in the face, Gwayne having nocked a tooth out. Cristan spitting out some blood before attempting to figh back. Failing spectacularly as Gwayne keeps punching. Not stopping his assault, just about to get his dagger out when multiple people shout. Not for him to stop, but because they’ve seen a dragon.
“Uncle! It’s aunt! She’s home!” Helaena shouts running into training yard, massive smile on her face. Daeron following close behind. “She’s found a dragon.”
“What?” He asks giving Cole one more punch before standing and following the girl who’s running exactly in the direction of the main courtyard. “Helaena!”
-
“Muña!” Daeron shouts running past Helaena and into your arms. Not caring about the large blue and yellow dragon stood next to you. The boy needing to be in your arms.
“Daeron!” You say in relief holding the boy close. Stormfrye watching everything carefully. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too.” He says crying into you, having been terrified the whole time you’ve been gone.
“Gwayne.” You say softly, seeing Gwayne just staring at you with tears building in his eyes.
“My love.” He says in shock, slowly making his way over to you Daeron still in between you when he hugs you. “Where have you been?”
“I found a dragon.” You laugh while crying, having missed your family the whole time you were gone.
“I gathered.” He laughs through tears, holding your face in his hands. As if trying to convince himself you’re actually in front of him. “You’ve worried me to death my dear.”
“I’m sorry, I wanted to come back but Stormfrye was apprehensive.” You say feeling guilty.
“Just never disappear again.” He says kissing the side of your head you all holding one another. Helaena also joining the hug, your girl having missed you despite knowing you’d be ok. Her having dreamt it.
“I won’t.” You reassure. So happy to be back with your family. Grateful you now have a dragon to join your life.
“I love you.” Gwayne whispers holding you as close as he could with two children squeezed in between you.
“I love you too.”
-
“What happened while I was away?” You ask later that night bundled up in bed with Gwayne and the children. Helaena sleeping on you while Daeron is cuddled into your side, Gwayne the other with his arm around you.
“Kepa beat the crap out of Ser Cristion.” Daeron say with a slight giggle, knowing violence isn’t right but also not liking the man after his comments about you.
“You did?” You ask in shock, knowing he hates the man but not expecting him to do that.
“He disrespected you.” Gwayne explains, kissing the side of your head. Looking forward to when Daeron falls asleep so he can spent some time with you alone. “Tell me what you did?”
“Not much really, I went on a walk to clear my head and I found stormfrye when I reached the lake.” You say, not really sure how it all happened. “I thought she was going to eat me but she just.. sat next to me. She had a hurt wing, that’s why it took so long to come home. She wouldn’t let me leave but she couldn’t fly.”
“How couldn’t anyone see you? We sent out Aegon on Sunfrye but he couldn’t see anything.” Gwayne asks, knowing that his nephew isn’t exactly the most reliable but he was all that was available in dragons.
“I don’t know.” You answer honestly, hand playing with Helaena hair while she sleeps.
“I’m happy you’re home.” Daeron mumbles falling asleep against you. Gwayne doing the same as he hasn’t slept in days.
“I’m happy to be home.”

Bonus
“Did you hear?” Your father asks a few days later, having called you into his chambers for some tea wanting to catch up. “Laena’s dragon vhagar has died. Apparently she got sick and was too weak and old to recover.”
“Poor Laena.” You say thinking back on your dream, now clearly able to make out the dragon. It being vhagar, selfishly grateful while also feeling bad for your friend.
3 year old Daeron thinks he’s being sneaky by stealing strawberries of Gwayne’s plate. Completely unaware that Gwayne only has so many strawberries so the boy can ‘steal’ them. Targ!reader
Based on a little girl I met at a wedding, she kept ‘stealing’ from her dad’s plate.
“What are you doing?” You ask the giggling boy who’s just taken a strawberry of Gwayne’s plate the man pretending not to notice when he fills his wine glass. Daeron giggling the whole time when he goes to take another.
“Stealing from Kepa.” He attempts to whisper. Gwayne ‘coincidently’ looking the other direction making comments about how nice the hall is decorated. A smile on the man’s face at the giggles, loving moments like this. You all at a wedding for one of Gwayne’s cousins from his mother’s side.
“You’re so sneaky.” You whisper, giggling with the boy when you ‘sneak’ your own strawberry of your husbands plate. You’re interrupted by Daeron’s best friend, Alyssa running over to show Daeron her new dress. The girl being flower girl and very proud of herself. Before both run off to play. “Gwayne where have all your strawberries gone.”
“I have no idea.” He responds sarcastically, adding more to his plate as he knows his little prince will want more when he comes back. “I must of eaten them without realising.”
“How odd.” You laugh, Gwayne not even liking strawberry’s that much but your son loving them. “You really must see a maester about that.”
“He’s having fun.” Gwayne says noticing the boy playing with his best friend. Daeron pretending to fly while Alyssa ‘sneaks’ around some of the tables.
“What are they doing?” Alyssa’s mother asks having joined you while you watch the children.
“Playing dragon princess.” You explain, her mother understanding immediately. It being their favourite game.
“Pardon?” The girls father asks, having planned on speaking with Gwayne about some but getting distracted by you and his wife.
“He’s a dragon who’s trying to rescue the princess who’s also trying to escape.” Gwayne explains, having had to play with them multiple times over the moons.
“Children can be so creative.” Her mother ,Maria, says smiling at the sight of the children. Her noting that Gwayne is looking at the dance floor every so often, knowing you love to dance. “Go mingle, we can keep an eye on the children.”
“Are you sure?” You check, knowing the kids have had quite a bit of sugar.
“Yes, go have fun.” She says squeezing your hand. “Dance, mingle, make Daeron a sibling. I don’t care but have fun.”
“Maria!” You whisper shout in shock, her just shooing you in response.
“Will you dance with me princess?” Gwayne asks you after mounting ‘thank you’ the Maria. Grateful for some time with you.
“I’d love too Ser.” You say smiling while you take his hand.
-
“Muuñaa.” You hear Daeron whine, having ‘snuck’ into your chambers a few moments ago. Him tapping your arm wanting your attention.
“Daaeron.” You mock back, picking the boy up so he can be between you and Gwayne in bed. Your husband pretending to sleep, you having been kissing before getting interrupted by a three year old. “What are you doing out of bed my little dragon?”
“Can’t sleep.” The little boy pouts, him still not liking sleeping on his own.
“That’s not good.” You say, letting the boy snuggle into you. Used to having a three year old in bed with you by now.
“No it not.” He agrees nodding, holding his toy dragon close to his chest. “Need Tessie.”
“Well Tessie is sleeping with her muña, but you can see each other tomorrow.” You say, knowing that Tessarion will be cuddling up with your dragon. Silverwing having a clutch of eggs at the same time Daeron was born, Tessarion hatching and flying in through his window when both were only a few hours old.
“But-.”
“But nothing my little dragon.” Gwayne says brushing the boys messy hair out of his face, the man wanting to sleep. “It’s sleep time.”
“Sleep here.” Daeron says clearly tired but not wanting to admit it. “Scales need muña and kepa.”
“Ok.” You reply not surprised he’s using his toy as an excuse to sleep with you both.
“Love you.” He mumbles sleep catching up on him.
“Love you too sweetheart.” You and Gwayne mumble in unison, also falling asleep.
Idk if this counts as crack fic or not but basically bc I’m pretty sure Summerhall has loads of cats due to rats, what if every time wife!reader took in another stray - Aerion would name it a dragon from history! So there’s just a whole bunch of cats in Summerhall named as dragons, granted he can’t ride them, but Aerion got his wish of having dragons (cats) in the end!! (Wife!reader loves this)
Cats
This is short but full of crack! I love the idea I did take some inspo from my own cats. Love you and thanks for the request 🥰
Ft a pic of one of my cats from 2020 at the bottom (you’ll see why) obviously out of character Aerion!
“What the fuck is that?” Maekar asks looking at the little beast sat on his chair in the dining hall. You and the children already sat waiting for him and Aerion. Daeron out at a tavern.
“A cat.” Egg answers helpfully, a smile on the boys face. Knowing what his father was actually asking but deciding to be difficult.
“I know it’s a cat what the fuck is it wearing?” Maekar demands, not paying attention to his second son as your husband enters.
“Caraxes there you are.” Aerion say walking over to the cat to pick it up. The cat purring the whole time, rubbing its face up against him. “You weren’t in your usual spot I was worried.”
“What the fuck.”
“Oh father, meet my dragon Caraxes.” Aerion say turning so his father can see that cat in all its glory. Fabric wings included. Maekar having been away for a few weeks visiting Baelor.
“Why is the cat wearing wings?” Maekar asks exasperatedly, just wanting one normal dinner for once. Baelor getting to have normal meals all the time, his children never dressing animals up in costumes or making potions.
“My wife made them.” Aerion reply’s with a smile, loving that you made them for him.
“Again, why is the cat wearing wings.”
“Well I tried them on Meleys and Vhagar but they just kept scratching me so I put them on Caraxes and she loves them.” He explains, knowing he probably should have tried Caraxes first as she’ll put up with anything. Daella once putting one of her doll’s dresses on the cat.
“You’ve broken my son.” Your father by law says looking at you. “He used to be normal.”
“Did he?” You and egg respond back both of you giving Maekar a look. You all knowing Aerion has always been odd.
“Well he used to be less obviously weird.”
-
“Do you know where Vermithor’s gone?” Aerion asks entering the solar, Caraxes following him. Still wearing her wings.
“He’s cuddling Rhae.” You respond knitting a new dragon snug as egg would like one, after finding Aerion’s. Noticing your husband turn around to leave. “Where are you going?”
“To collect my dragon.”
“Aerion no, he’s claimed her. Leave them be.” You say knowing the girl loves that cat, him loving her back as he’s been sneaking into her chambers every night to cuddle her.
“But he’s mine.” Aerion whines still not liking to share every though he’s a grown man.
“You have plenty of dragons she’s allowed one.” You say giving him a look.
“Fine.” He say admitting defeat as he sits next to you. Caraxes jumping into his lap wanting cuddles.
“What the fuck is wrong with my son.” Maekar mumbles to himself as he walks past the solar just having heard your conversation.
-
“Night my love.” Aerion says to you softly while you fall asleep in his arms.
“Night.” You mumble into his chest, seconds away from sleep when he continues talking.
“Night Caraxes, night Silverwing, night Vhagar, night Syrax, night Meleys, night Tessarion, night moondancer, night Sunfrye, night Morning.” He says saying goodnight to all the cats in your chambers, Vermithor with Rhae while seasmoke is sleeping in with Egg. Balarion sleeping beside Maekar’s head, the man denying it if it’s even brought up.

The wedding
This was fun, thank you for the request!
Content: references to sex and don’t think too hard about why/how Daeron calls you muña.
“Ahhh! Who the fuck are you and why are you in my chambers?!” Gwayne shouts in shock, having just entered his chambers with you following behind. Finding a naked woman on his bed, clearly trying to appear seductive. “Put clothes on and fuck off!”
“But you asked to see me again ser.” She says trying to walk over to him, your future husband hiding behind you. Knowing the woman didn’t have a weapon given, well, there’s no where to hide one. “You said I was your favourite.”
“Who the fuck are you?” Gwayne asks again voice going high, seemingly terrified.
“Leave.” You tell the whore, a smirk on your lips as you know exactly who’s behind this. “I assume you’ve already been paid?” You ask her, the woman clearly knowing this isn’t going as planned when she blushes before picking up her clothes and running out the room. “Give the queen my regards.”
“Who the fuck was that?” Gwayne asks, you noticing his eyes have been closed since he first saw the woman. Him finally opening them.
“Lady Mara, she’s friends with your sister.” You explain, kissing your knights cheek before sending for a servant to change the sheets. “Her husband is away on business.”
“You know I’d never-.”
“I know my love, your scream of terror only confirmed it.” You reassure, knowing this will have been his father and sisters idea. Them not liking you but your father and Gwayne’s cousin agreeing to the union.
-
“Muña!” Daeron shouts running down the corridor, holding his toy dragon. Gwayne having asked the boy to distract you after an issue came up. Him and daemon going to deal with it. “Can we play?”
“I’d love to darling but I have to go check on the food for tomorrow.” You say softly thinking he looks adorable, it almost being time for bed.
“Pleeeassse.” He begs, needing to stop you from going to the kitchen. The cake having been ruined. “You haven’t played with me in ages.”
“We played this morning.” You say giving him a look.
“Muña, please.” He asks, a small little pout on his face. “I’ve missed you.”
“Fine, come on my little prince.” You laugh picking your boy up. Knowing he’s lying but happy to be with him. “Shall we go cuddle and read more of our book?”
-
“Princess, it’s your dress.” Your maids say anxiously while they dress you for your wedding. Your dress having fit perfect two days ago when you tried it on, now struggling tie it.
“What’s happened now.” You say tiredly, just wanting something to go right. Your favourite jewellery having been ‘misplaced’ so you’re already stressing about that. Rhaenyra saying she’ll deal with it but it not making you any calmer, you knowing who’s behind it, your step mother hating that your marring Gwayne.
“It appears the seamstress have made a mistake.” Your servant says gently, feeling guilty for not being able to fix it. “The dress is too small.”
“That’s fine.” Rhaenyra says, having planned for this. Your sister having suspected that something would happen to your dress. “I hade a separate dress made with your measurements, it was meant to be a surprise for the reception but you can wear it all day.”
“Rhaenyra.” You say softly, not expecting your sister to let in her handmaid to enter carrying your dream dress. You having agreed to wear one that Alicent picked after your father suggested it.
“It’s the exact one you described wanting when we were young and talking with mother about weddings and our dream dresses.” She says soft smile on her face, knowing she made the right decision when you see it.
“Thank you.”
“I also thought you could wear mother’s favourite necklace as well.” She says taking it off her neck, knowing you need a piece of her with you today. Rhaenyra doing the same on her wedding day.
“But-.”
“She’d want you to wear it.” She interrupts, knowing how grateful you are.
-
“Today has been incredible, thank you.” You say to your husband, sister, Laenor, Laena and daemon. All having worked to make your day perfect. You having known that’s they’ve fixed everything that’s gone wrong. “Today couldn’t have happened without you all.”
-
“It’s almost time for the bedding are you excited?” Laenor asks with a laugh later on when it’s just the two of you. Gwayne speaking with your sister. While Laena and daemon dance.
“Oh shut up.” You laugh lightly hitting his shoulder. Him having walked in on your two dry humping in an abandoned room. It unknowingly being Laenors spot to meet men. “But I am exited.”
“Alicent is glaring at you.” Your brother by law says, offering you a glance. You having been ignoring the woman all day.
“She’s always glaring at me.” You say, smiling when you notice your husband walk over. Thinking he looks so handsome in his formal wear.
“Are you ready my love?” He asks, kissing your cheek. Desperate to get you alone, especially giving all the things you’d whispered into his ear while you danced.
“More than ready, but we better say goodbye to my father first.” You say, seeing your father sat next to a standing Alicent. The king speaking with Daemon.
“Of course.” He says, taking your hand in his while you walk over.
“Father, we’re going to retire for the night.” You tell the man, knowing he’d want to see you before you disappear.
“That’s smart my dear, it’s been a beautiful day, you look gorgeous in your mother’s jewellery.” He says, giving you a smile before going back to talking with Daemon.
“My queen, or should I say sister.” You say with a fake laugh, pulling the woman into a hug so you could whisper in her ear. “If you’ll excuse me your grace, I’m about to go fuck your brother.” You whisper, smirking when you pull away before taking your husband’s hand in yours. “Come along, my husband.”
Ormund is our husband but we love Gwayne. Oh no, your husband gets poisoned. How tragic. Wrote this a few days ago but saved to post for today as I’ve just come back from my aunts wedding and I’m a bit drunk
“Shhh it’s alright, we’re alright, this will all be over soon.” You whisper to Daeron and Alerie while you hide in the wardrobe, your husband on another one of his rampages. You just waiting for Gwayne to appear to look after the children so you can be the object of Ormund’s rage instead of them.
“I’m scared.” Daeron whispers holding his knees to his chest. Hoping this will all end soon.
“I know you are sweetheart, I am too, but it will be over soon.” You whisper back, carefully listening out for the door. Praying it’s Gwayne who finds you and not your husband. You scared about what he’ll do to the children, him angry after Daeron was seen cuddling his dragon. Ormund hating all things Targaryen, dragons especially. Him thinking then an insult to the gods. “We might be able to visit my mother soon, would you like that?”
“A lot.” Daeron whispers back, Alerie just nodding in agreement while she sucks her thumb. Self soothing, Daeron doing the same by hugging himself. All of you stilling when you hear the chamber doors open, you letting out a sigh of relief when you hear the voice.
“It’s just me.” Gwayne says, smiling sadly at you all as you climb out of your hiding place. Alerie running into her uncles arms. Her adoring Gwayne as much as she loves Daeron, if not more. “Hello darling, do you want to go down to the stables for a while?”
“Please.” She says rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. Refuses to let go of her uncle.
“What about mother?” Daeron asks, worried about leaving you to Ormund’s wrath.
“I’ll be fine, I just need to speak with your sire.” You attempt to reassure, knowing Daeron worries about you. You not wanting him to have to worry anymore.
-
“Lord Husband.” You say entering his solar, carefully. Knowing any sudden movements could set him off even more. “You called for me?”
“You! It’s your fault! The boy is soft! He’s broken and spending to much time with that fucking dragon!” He rants, deciding to blame you for everything he doesn’t like. Throwing a glass in your direction, luckily not hitting you as you move out the way quickly enough. “You had one job! Give me a son! Instead you give me a slow daughter! And you! Dear wife, are a fucking manipulative bitch!”
“What have I done husband?” You ask numbly, opening and pouring him some wine that was gifted by a lower house, as an apology for causing unrest in the reach. Or at least that’s what he thinks.
“Give me my fucking wine.” He says snatching the glass from your hands, unaware you were planning on giving it to him anyway. “Get out, I don’t have a use for you, your cunt isn’t even good anymore.”
“Of course my lord, whatever you wish.” You say nodding at his guards while you leave. Him only summoning you to shout.
-
“My lady! Come quick!” A servant shouts running down the hallway to catch up to you. You mentally planing what to dress Alerie in for the upcoming events.
“What’s going on?” You ask, tuning quickly to face the servant. “Are the children alright?”
“The children are fine.” She reassures before braking the new. “It’s your lord husband my lady, he’s dead.”
“What?” You ask gasping and covering your mouth with your hand. “How?”
“Poison my lady, it was in the wine. The maester had tried all he can but..”
“Oh gods.” You say dramatically leaning into the wall in shock. Everything going according to plan.
-
“Are you alright my lady?” The maester asks, checking on you after you see your husbands body. Guards not letting you leave their sight, the children in the nursery.
“I’m just.” You pause for dramatic effect. “In shock, I almost drank that wine. What if one of the children-” you cut yourself off with a fake sob.
“My lady breath you and the children are alive, that’s what matters.” The maester reassurances knowing that Ormund sometimes lets Daeron have some of the wine if he’s done something the man liked.
“But my husband.” You say, looking at the corpse, grateful he’s clearly dead. “Oh gods.”
-
“My condolences my lady. My condolences.” Is all you hear after the news of your husband death has been announced. The house responsible being punished by the crown. Gwayne having been named heir after your daughter was born, Ormund not wanting his uncle to have more power. Unknowing giving you more the moment he did it.
-
“Lord Hightower.” You say stood in the doorway watching Gwayne stand in the very solar your husband died in only a few weeks before hand.
“Please don’t call me that.” He say smiling at you while you enter, door closing behind you. “How are you?”
“Brilliant.” You say wrapping your arms around his shoulders smile on your face. It having been he best day. Daeron being allowed to spent time with Tessarion and Alerie playing in the gardens for the first time without fear. “We’re free.”
“I’ve been asked what I’m going to do with you and Alerie.” He says arms moving to your waist. Knowing you had something to do with is cousins death but not mentioning it. You and the children meaning more to his than his cousin ever had.
“What are you going to do?” You ask, wanting Gwayne to make his own decisions.
“Marry you.” He says simply, having wanted to marry you from the moment you met. “I’ll say it’s to keep you and her in the only place she’s ever known but..”
“I know.” You say, resting your forehead against his.“I love you.”
Balarion sleeping beside Maekar’s head, the man denying it if it’s even brought up.
if you see me liking contradicting headcanons for the same character just know it's because I do not give a fuck and I have an active imagination #hewouldsaythat
Could we get a fic where Gwayne and his wife save Helaena and the twins. She gets to the castle before blood and cheese do and begs Helaena to leave with her. They each carry a twin on the ride back plus their respective dragon. She convinces rhaenyra to marry her younger kids to the twins to keep them safe (visenya lives). Helaena swears her loyalty to rhaenyra so now team black have more dragons. (Luke and Jace live too please)
Extra points if when she was sneaking in Targ!reader saw or heard Cole and Alicent sleeping together ( why it was so easy to get into the castle). So she can gossip about it when she gets back to dragon stone. Please I will never ask for anything again!!!!!❤️❤️❤️
The rescue
But what if I want you to ask me stuff?? 🧐
Saw this and immediately started writing so here’s a present for bedtime so not really proofread 🩵
“Shh.” Gwayne whispers to you even though you weren’t making any noise. The man ignoring the look you give him in response. His sword in hand while he checks to see that you’ve not been seen. You two having to get past Alicent’s chambers to get to Helaena’s and the nursery. “I can hear something.”
“We need to be quick.” You whisper back, not caring if you have to kill a few people to get your precious Helaena and her children out unharmed.
“Fine, let’s go.” He whispers grabbing your hand to sneak past the door that noises are coming from.
“Holy shit.” You whisper recognising the voices.“That’s Cole. With Alicent.”
“What?” Gwayne whisper hisses, not wanting to believe you.
“Listen.”
“Fuck no.” He whispers grabbing your hand to drag you along. “I thought we have to be quick.”
-
“Helaena.” You say quietly to the sleeping girl. You knowing she’s a grown woman now, but she will always be the little girl who would bet to play in the gardens with you in your mind. “darling it’s me.”
“Sister.” She asks in confusion slowly waking, before looking at you in shock when she realises you’re actually there. “Why are you here?”
“I’m here to get you and the twins.” You say gently, brushing some of her hair out of her face.
“Really?”
“Really, it’s not safe for you here.” You confirm, wishing she’d never been dragged into this stupid war.
“Where are we to go?” She asks anxiously, playing with her fingers.
“I’ll tell you when we’re safe but we need to get the children.”
“Ok.” She says agreeing surprisingly quickly, getting out of bed to give you a hug. “I’ve missed you.”
“I’ve missed you too darling.” You reply kissing the side of her head before passing her some slippers and leading her out of the room.
“Uncle gwayne.” She says excitedly, having missed her uncle who always listened when she spoke.
“Hello sweetheart, let’s get you and the children out safe then we can hug.” He says softly, wanting to cuddle the girl but knowing you don’t have long.
“They’re this way.”
-
“I’ll carry Jaehaera.” Helaena says picking up her sleeping daughter softly. Her loving her son but treasuring her daughter. The girl begins so much like her already.
“I’ve got Jaehaerys.” You say to Gwayne who’s keeping watch. Holding the sleeping boy close to you, making sure to pick up the little toy dragon he was sleeping with. “Is it clear?”
“Clear, let’s go.” He says softly ushering you and Helaena out. Telling you both to keep close while you make your way out. All going well when you reach Alicent apartments, you worrying Helaena might want her mother to join. Luckily she doesn’t, just wanting her children out and safe. You all hearing moans coming from behind the door. Gwayne looking traumatised when he hurries you both along.
-
“Where are we going?” Helaena asks stood next to dreamfrye and Stormfrye. Your dragons having missed each other. Luckily dreamfrye was known to take herself flying so her leaving wasn’t unusual.
“Dragonstone.” You say carefully, knowing she’ll be scared.
“No!” She protests, having heard repeatedly that if Rhaenyra even sees her children she’ll have them sentenced to death. “She’ll kill my babies.”
“No she won’t Helaena.” You say firmly, knowing you would never let anything happen to the children. Even if Rhaenyra went back on her words, you praying she never would. “I promise you.”
“Uncle Gwayne?”
“The children will be safe, we’ve made a deal with her to keep you and the children safe.” Gwayne reassures, mentally viewing Helaena as one of his children. “We won’t let any harm come to them we promise.”
“Ok.”
-
“Helaena.” Rhaenyra greets, smiling at the young woman, her holding her daughter close to her while Gwayne holds her son. “They must be the twins.”
“You won’t hurt them will you?” She asks, fear in her voice as she looks between the queen and Jaehraerys. “Even the boy?”
“No, I won’t hurt them.” Rhaenyra tells her youngest sister softly. “But I do offer you a deal.” She continues, knowing she wouldn’t let any harm come to the children anyway. “When they’re older your daughter marries my son Joffrey.”
“How old is he?”
“He’s not much older than the twins.” You reassure the girl, understanding her fears.
“What of the boy?”
“I have a daughter, Visenya.” Rhaenyra replies a sad smile in her face as she thinks of the daughter she can’t be with. “She’s a newborn but when she’s grown he shall wed her.”
“Ok.” Helaena agrees after looking at you and Gwayne for guidance.
“Good.” Rhaenyra smiles. “In the meantime you may join our sister and your uncle to the vale to live there while the war continues.”
“The vale?” She asks confused, not expecting you to go there.
“We’re going there with all the children to keep them safe.” Gwayne says, knowing it’s going to be a bit of a full house. But happy about it.
“And I get to go with you?” She asks, making sure she’s not a captive for Rhaenyra.
“You do.”
-
Bonus
“Nyra.” You call running over to her and Daemon as the two talk in the hallway. You having just put the children to bed. Helaena in your chambers talking to Gwayne and Daeron.
“Why do you look so smug?” She asks giving you a suspicious look. Recognising it from when you were children and you were up to something.
“Guess what Gwayne and I walked past on our way to get Helaena.” You say practically jumping on the spot in excitement, finding the whole with funny. Gwayne not finding it anywhere near as amusing.
“How am I meant to know? Is it something that will help in the war?” She asks, looking at you in intrigue.
“Alicent was fucking Cristian Cole!” You blurt out, knowing she’ll be shocked. Especially after all the grief she gave Rhaenyra for doing the same thing when she was young and drunk.
“Ha!” Daemon shouts out with a cackle finding the new hilarious.
Au where Aegon was named heir when he was born and the dance doesn’t happen.
Just a cute little thruple fic. You’re Rhaenyra’s daughter but no description of what you look like.
Someone wasn’t happy with my treatment of team green so here’s happy Helaena and not evil Aegon with a side of Daemon x Rhaenyra x Alicent
“I can’t believe he’s mother’s favourite.” Aegon whines storming into Helaena’s chambers, your shared wife sat on the floor with her insects while you embroider Aegon’s new doublet. Not able to move as much given how far along you are in your pregnancy. “He’s such a prat.”
“What are you complaining about now?” You ask not looking away from the dragon you were making, placing it next to the bug Helaena did. You husbands favourite hobby obviously being complaining.
“Aemond, being mother’s favourite child.” Your husband complains, having just had to watch his mother praise the one eyed twat.
“He’s not her favourite.” You tell him, confused about how he reached that conclusion given all the evidence proving otherwise.
“He’s not?” He asks excitedly thinking that means he must be.
“He’s not.” You confirm, setting aside your embroidery. Knowing you won’t be able to focus on it now. “Her favourite is Helaena.”
“What?”
“Her favourite child is Helaena and her favourite son is Daeron.” You say in an obvious tone. Not understanding how he didn’t already know.
“But.” Aegon pauses for moment in pure shock at the reveal. “He doesn’t even live here!”
“That’s probably why.” Helaena adds from her spot on the floor.
“Unbelievable.” He scoffs flopping onto the sofa with you, resting his head in your lap. The large baby bump taking up most of the room kicking periodically. “Ow, the babe just kicked me in the face.”
“We told you to stop lying there.” Helaena tells him with a laugh, him having done the exact thing yesterday.
“This world is out to get me.”
“That’s nice dear.” You say playing with his hair while Helena goes back to her insects.
-
“Do you think the babe’s will like each other?” Helaena whispers into the night while you two cuddle in bed. You finding out she’s also pregnant a few weeks ago. Your wife not wanting to talk about the pregnancy in public as she wants it to be just the three of yours secret for as long as possible.
“They’ll love each other.” You reassure, giving her a quick kiss. Her hand on your bump liking to feel when the babe kicks.
“Move over I want to be in the middle.” Aegon say, wandering into your chambers slightly drunk. Him having been with his friends drinking before he noticed the time and realised you and Helaena will be sleeping soon.
“It was your turn last night, it’s mine tonight.” You say, not wanting to move from the middle. Also knowing Helaena wants to cuddle you tonight not your husband, Aegon moving a lot in his sleep.
“But I’m the king.” He whines just wanting cuddles from both his girls.
“In name only.” Helaena says snuggling into your side, grateful her baby bumb isn’t that big yet so she can lie closer. “Our wife is the actual one in charge.”
“You’re not meant to say that bit my love.” You laugh , knowing your wife doesn’t exactly have a filter. Her also just liking to annoy the king.
“Why not? Everyone knows it’s actually you who rules.” She says to you, half asleep.
“Is it bully Aegon day today or something?” He complains while removing his clothes haphazardly before climbing into bed.
“Isn’t that every day?” You tease, loving these soft moments with your husband and wife.
“At least my children love me.” He says kissing your stomach before doing the same to Helaena’s hand knowing she doesn’t like her stomach being touched.
“We love you, you’re just very annoying.” Helaena says not even trying to hide her sleepy smile.
“I am not.” He objects, offended look on his face. “I’m a delight!”
-
“Do we have to?” Aegon whines from the bed not wanting to attend the family dinner. Both your families going to be there including his grandsire and brother.
“Yes.” You glaring at your favourite shoes as they’re now too small. Your feet having swollen with the pregnancy. You having to wear your night slippers everywhere as they’re the only things that fit and are comfortable. “I want to see my mother.”
“That’s fine I just don’t understand why everyone has to be there.” He complains knowing that Aemond will annoy him.
“Alicent wants everyone together.” You reiterate for what feels like the hundredth time. Knowing your husband isn’t complaining because of your family, him getting on surprisingly well with Luke.
“See that’s what I don’t get, mother doesn’t like Rhaenyra.”
“Yes she does.” Helaena says placing her caterpillar back in its enclosure. Knowing she should find her own shoes before dinner.
“Hel’s, no she doesn’t.” Aegon denies, thinking Helaena’s just confused.
“Oh my gods.” You mumble to yourself at your moron of a husband. “She loves her.”
“What?”
“Why do you think she was so happy when she found out my mother and daemon broke up with lady Misyra?”
“Because they weren’t married so it was a sin.”
“Aegon.” You sigh looking at your very dumb but beautiful husband.
“Mother is very religious!”
“You’re very dumb.” Helaena states hand resting on her small bump.
