Just finished the first episode of Columbo, and I'll be honest for the first bit I wasn't sold.

And then he turned up.

I am besotted.

I LOVE Columbo. I love his accent and his mannerisms and the way he walks. I love that the first thing he did was comfort a grieving woman. I love how he would be so completely awkward if he weren't so completely genuine. I love that he's a wife guy. I love his clothes.

I love that he's just a charming little guy and it irked the villain BEYOND BELIEF.

Columbo is the Tom Bombadil of detectives, and I adore him.
