There was a small chuckle that escaped his lips. “Alright, alright I will do my best not to peak. Luckily you don’t know where yours is.” He teased lightly, although he did have it hidden in the house. “Yeah, I don’t mind at all. Also what time are we going to your mum’s on Christmas?” He had opted out of them going to his own parents for Christmas. Didn’t mean that Linda didn’t stop by his office.

Imogen couldn’t help chuckling, pointing at him. “You will not peek, mister.” She teased, moving to sit down, sipping on the water she’d been drinking before. “Okay, great, thanks.” She supposed that meant she could get some more stuff done while he was grabbing them. Molly probably wanted to see him anyway. “Hmm, maybe about two o’clock? I think the dinner’s a little later but we can get there and the kids can have the rest of their presents and maybe we’ll get roped into some games and stuff.” She chuckled, looking over at him. “Has your mum called or anything?” She wondered, knowing Linda didn’t often give up easy.

“Alright, well I can wrap them.” He chuckled a little bit, looking over at her for a moment. “That I can accept perfectly, you impulsive shopper you.” He teased lightly. “Who are they for?” Taking another drink, he stopped for a moment and stood up bringing the coffee onto the island. “I can always grab them if you want.”

Imogen laughed softly at his teasing, moving to put the presents down. “Well, this one’s for you, so no peeking.” She laughed, grabbing the bag and running to hide it in the hall cupboard before walking back in. “The rest are for the kids...” She couldn’t help it. “Are you sure? I don’t mind.”

“I think we wrapped the last of the Christmas presents last night. Not unless there is more.” Eric put his watch on before grabbing a cup of coffee, bringing it to his lips he took a small sip. “What time do we have to pick up the kids from Molly’s again?”

“Um... I have a couple more in my car...” She said sheepishly, chuckling. “I know we were done but I was in the shop today and couldn’t resist.” She grabbed her keys so she could go and grab them at least to bring them inside. “Four.” She called over her shoulder, hurrying out to grab them and coming back in.

“No idea.” He teased, returning the look as well. Before he started to helping her put away the food. “Yeah, I did. I wanted to make it special in a way.” One thing Eric would always do was remember their wedding dates, her birthday and the kids birthdays. They were the most important dates to him. “I totally did. Don’t get me wrong, I trust Mitch with the kids but for a week might be pushing it. And I know you don’t want them with my mother.” Naturally he knew that. His mother was on a whole another level especially when it came to Imogen. “I know but I wanted to.” He smiled back at her. “I’m not telling you where we are going though.”

Imogen smiled softly. “Well, thank you.. this is great.” Probably just what she needed as well. She laughed at that and shook her head. “Oh, they’d be corrupted quickly over there, I’m sure.” Imogen joked. With how Lizzie was raised though, he seemed to be a bit lax with the rules and everything else for a whole week. “Really? Well, that’s very rude.” She joked, pouting.

“You married this little wallflower twice.” Eric chuckled lightly, smiling against her lips now. Of course Eric remembered, outside of their children being born, Eric remembered both of their anniversary dates. “I did actually.” He nodded his head. “Also made some arrangements for the kids that week as well.” Maybe he was really bad at surprises. “Okay, I took off the week for our anniversary and your mother is going to watch the kids for us. Just be prepared to be packed. I have the private plane on reserve.”

Imogen laughed. “I sure did.” Imogen paused to give him a look. “Whatever was I thinking?” She joked. “You did all that?” She was definitely surprised, not because he wasn’t the type, just because she didn’t expect. “Ah, so you got my mother involved, huh?” She teased, putting the last thing away and then shaking her head at him. “You know, you didn’t have to do anything.” Imogen smiled though. “But it sounds great.”

Eric moved over to her, leaning down to kiss her cheek gently after he set down the bags. “Hmm..I don’t know to see your sister or maybe your friends. I’m the one that never had much of a social life until you.” Which was true. He was broody and a writer who had like no friends besides Buddy. “Also, I took a week off from work that’s coming up soon.” Hopefully she didn’t think that he would forget their anniversary. But he wanted to surprise her.

Imogen chuckled a little bit. “Yeah, yeah. My little wallflower.” She teased, kissing him back and turning back to keep unpacking the groceries. Honestly, she wasn’t quite sure whether or not he had forgotten but she kind of didn’t want to bring it up because she knew there had been a lot going on and she didn’t want to be pushy - truthfully, she didn’t mind. “You did?” She turned back to him again, a little surprised.

Eric set the bags down, turning to look over at her for a moment. “I’ve got it don’t worry, my love.” Nodding his head a little bit, while he started towards the door. “Yeah, I heard him. I was going to help but you told me to get back in bed.” He moved outside to grab the rest of the bags and then coming back inside with them. “Got them. Just got to lock up your car and then it’s all set. Not unless you have to go somewhere later.”

Imogen moved to unpack some of the bags, looking back up when he returned. She hoped Richard would sleep well and it would just be a one off thing. “Got it.” She moved to fish the keys back out of her pocket and looked up at him. “Hm. Like where?”

“Yeah, that would be perfect. Thank you, Brooke. I’ll let her know and we will see you guys this Friday, bye.” Eric smiled when he seen the door, hanging up his phone. He moved over to it to help her with the groceries. “I take it that there is more in the car?” He placed down what she did have. “Richard is taking a nap, Brooklyn is doing the same. And your mother said that she will see us all on Friday because she wants to have dinner. Let me get the rest of the stuff out of the car and then we can talk more.”

Imogen let him take a bag from her and noded. “Yeah, just a little bit.” She smiled slightly when he said they were both having a nap. “Good.” She chuckled. “Richard was up half the night, I was worried he wouldn’t want.” Then he’d be extra grumpy. “Oh, okay. Sounds good to me.” Imogen made a mental note to add it to her calendar so she didn’t forget. “Are you sure you don’t need a hand?”
