Spring favourites Part 1
God I am so late, I am such a creature of habit and I end up using the same products over and over again but I have quite a few stuff here that may tickle your fancy. I’m doing this in two parts because eyes and lips are gonna be pretty big.
Disclaimer: I am not sponsored and the stuff I am mentioning I bought with my own money and what works for me may not work for you. We’re different and we all have different habits but I’ll try to explain as best I can my habits and skin type so you know.
So first up brushes:
I’ve been travelling a lot lately due to ballet opportunities I just wanted a set of brushes that were basic but good because I just needed something to just rely on. So back in December I treated myself to the Real Techniques Starter Kit. So the kit comes with a travelling case (what attracted me, I know, I know, you can get them anywhere but I was paying something around £20 so), an angled brush, a liner brush, what I call a lower lash line brush, a fluffy brush and a deluxe blending brush.
I think this is a really good kit if you’re just starting out and I use all the time on the go. The only brush that I’m not too keen on is the angled brush, to me it’s not dense enough however I still use it for smokey liner and other things here and there. My favourite brush in the kit is the fluffy brush, it blends stuff so effortlessly and you can use it to pack stuff on, it’s so multi purpose and it’s hard not to love. I completely put my trust in this kit and if you’re looking for a gift for someone just getting into makeup, this is defiantly the kit for you and the brushes don’t shed and they do what they’re supposed to. For how many brushes you’re getting and for the price, I think this kit is really good quality.

Blushes:
I haven’t really bought any new face products apart from this one product. I think this is such a good spring and summer time product and because I have dry skin this works so well. It’s the Clinique Chubby Stick Cheek Colour Balm in Amp’d up Apple, the thing is with this product it’s sheer but buildable and it gives the skin a nice natural flushed look and with the summer you don’t want something to heavy on the skin. It’s really blendable and easy to use so it’s fool proof and they have three more different shades to choose from. With my blushes I hate straight up pigment I like something that is buildible because I get excited. However for the price I find it to be a bit steep but if you’re in the market for a creme blush that’s buildable and good on sensitive dry skin I would defiantly recommend this. (keep in mind I am extremely pale and I don’t know if the particular shade I’m talking about will show up on much darker skin tones so swatch in store if you’re not too sure)
