Evaluation
I don't like this piece I have created. If I put more time into it I couldve done a much better job. I also need to learn how to use Reaper better. But yeah not a fan of this one.
Piece Three
The movie I picked was 'Deathproof' directed by Quentin Tarantino. I used parts of the script between three of the main characters, included some effects and dubbing of the voices.
16 Bar evaluation
I think in this piece I didn't really finish it to my standards, but I learned a lot in the making of this. I feel I moved very slowly as I misinterpreted the effort I would have to put into it, but did my best at the same time. Would have loved to use heaps more effects and different keys to make it a real acapella and not just a couple of different versions put together.
Boyz II Men, End of the Road Acapella 16 bar piece.
The various effects and the general jist of my piece.
The other track I used was the real acapella of the proper version. I merged this track with the two others of Damien Lawson's cover.
February 2, 2008.
This guy's acapella recording used for two tracks in the acapella piece. I put echo and other similar effects on his voice in one track, and used other parts of the track overlapping the other track with his singing.
My computer is not letting me show my screenshots of my work, but I'll link all the links off YouTube I used for my piece.
Evaluation
In conclusion, I think that I could have done a lot better in the hip hop song. A lot of the loops and samples are out of time, and I tried my hardest but couldn’t figure out a way to get them all in perfect timing of each other. It was hard because I used all samples and no original work which if I started again I would do it all originally. Since it was my first time using reason I encountered a lot of problems but they were quickly resolved from the help of the internet.
I really hoped to create a better piece than what I have. In saying this, I learned a lot from it and how to improve and make my future pieces of a much more higher quality.
Finishing up the end.
Finally putting it all together. The timing was definitely the hardest part. Some samples are out of time but I did the best I could do with all of them.
Putting in the 'I just died in your arms tonight' echoes in to play occasionally throughout Dangerous.
how I edited all my loops form different songs in the NN-XT.
Adding claps from the Kong into the 'Dangerous' loop
Creating 'Dangerous' by the Yin Yan Twins, the main and most important NN-XT
Creating all the main loops into the main section
Throughout this term I've realised that most hip hop music is cuts or copies of old or popular songs. In my piece I have used a LOT of loops of other songs such as Roses by Outkast, Died in Your Arms Tonight by The Cutting Crew, Loyal by Chris Brown and Dangerous by the Yin Yan twins, and these loops make up the whole song.
All loops are put through the NN-XT.
