Charles had been sitting at his bar, sipping his whiskey and trying to forget the long day he had when a figure had shadowed him. âPlease, unless youâre here to serve me more alcohol or something a little strongerââ he paused, looking up and at the person. âIâm not interested!â he snapped slightly, downing his drink and slamming the empty glass on the counter.
It had been a long day, one of those rare days even that Imogen actually hated the shift that she had just worked and wanted nothing more than a good drink. Walking over to the bar, she was about to call the bartender to order a drink when she heard the other speak. Looking over to him, she rolled her eyes. âI literally got punched in the face by a patient today, so donât be an asshole and just let me get a drink.â
âSee, itâs a sign, we both gotta pop our Disney cherry, Imogen.â Aysel does a little dance, the tickets being fanned around her. She knows sheâs far too energised in comparison to the blonde but she canât help it. And in all honesty she usually has more energy than anyone else in the room anyway. âIf I have to karate chop a Karen in front of an animated rodent I will and I wonât regret it. But fine, Iâll just refer to him as MD, Mouse Dick.â At the mention of more sleep, Aysel pouts. âNoooooo, you can sleep in the car, Iâll hold off on my road trip playlist for a couple hours.â
Imogen canât help the tired little chuckle that escapes her lips at Ayselâs words. As tired as she was, she had to admit that the other womanâs enthusiasm was almost infectious. Almost. Plopping down on the couch, she lets out a tired yawn as she resists the urge to just lay down and go to sleep right there. Taking a glance at Aysel, Imogen just groans as she sits up. âDo I at least get some time to get ready before we leave then?â She asks, giving in.
âOkay but who would win in a fight, a shark or a bear? And thereâs only one right option and Iâll judge you so hard if you pick the wrong one, capiche?â @imogenrecordsâ
Looking up from her phone, she gives Chess a questioning look as if to mentally ask him why heâs wasting her time with that question. Still, she supposes she could humour him. âDepends on where the fight is taking place, on land or in the water?â
Jimmy has been out of jail for a week and yet he is having to take his dumbass teammate to the hospital. He should expect it by now, this particular teammate is accident prone and many even ask Jimmy why he keeps him around. Heâd rather shoot himself in the foot than admit he has grown fond of his little family. Though worrying over his teammate takes a back seat upon seeing a blonde woman enter the room. Heâs not exactly subtle as brown hues make there way up her body. âTheyâve definitely had a change of staff since I last got here.â He can hear his teammate sigh in annoyance so Jimmy prods him two inches from the gaping cut in his arm. âAre you the one stuck stitching up this dumbass?â @imogenrecordsâ
No surgeries were planned today, or at least none that Imogen was partaking in, and so she was just doing rounds and getting all the people that needed stitches. Which by itself already pleased her enough, definitely better than people with items stuck up their asses - literally. Walking into the next room, sheâs still quickly reading the chart when she hears a voice. Looking up, her brain registers his words as he gives him a quick look over, a slight smile on her face. She nods a bit at his next words, walking closer to the patient. âThough, I donât know yet if heâs a dumbass. Depends on how this happend, I suppose.â
âUm⊠study. Eat. Drink. Sleep. Go bother my brother. Occasionally bother Connor. Apparently I also go to Disneyland with Aysel. Nothing too fun or exciting, sorry.â
As the door opens, Aysel does some jazz hands, showing the printed off disney tickets she had in each hand. âDash says the same thing just minus the Records part and I choose to ignore both of you.â The nurse shrugs, trying not to bounce from her excitement but also- failing at doing so. She slips inside and holds the tickets up to Imogenâs face. âDid I stutter? Hell yeah I said Disneyland! Iâve never gone and I really wanna meet that giant rat thing that Walt got hard over.â
Sleep is still fogging up her mind as Aysel walks in. Closing the door behind Aysel, Imogen takes a little step back as she finds pieces of paper being pushed into her face. âNever been to Disneyland either.â Imogen admits. Her childhood had mainly been her trying to take care of her family and focusing on her studies, there wasnât really anyone around to take her to do any fun things. âIf weâre going, youâd better find another way to talk about Mickey Mouse. Pretty sure itâll be mostly parents with their kids, who wonât really appreciate you talking that way. But sure- what the heck. Iâm in. Not like I have anything else to do. Can we leave after I had some more sleep?â
New York was full of every changing faces but Hunter relied on the familiarity of his usual hang outs to spot the usual suspects. Over the years his group of friends had changed shapes and sizes but they often hung out in specific bars or food joints, maybe a music store here or there. When a new face walked in he often ignored them, but when an old one walked through the door the often quiet boy would make the effort to say hello. Standing at the window of a pizza joint, whilst his friends ordered their late night snack, he was surprised to find a familiar blonde walking by. âIâll be back in a minute guys,â he excused himself as he pushed through the door out onto the city street. âHey- Imogen right?â
@imogenrecords
Between work and just needing sleep, there wasnât much free time for Imogen. Not that she minded at all, she was the first one to offer herself up for extra shifts at the hospital, but every now and then she didnât mind catching a break. Walking with a coffee in one hand and a text book in the other, she was mindlessly wandering the streets. When she suddenly heard a voice call her name, she stopped in her steps and turned around. Looking at him, she could definitely remember having seen him somewhere - he was hard to miss really. It still took her a second to place it though. âMitchell,â She says, remembering the surname on the chart. âYou were at the hospital not that long ago, right?â
â yeah ,  whatâs fucking new . â  he ambles after her to the kitchen , pouring himself a water and a lemonade for imo .  ( he canât stand the stuff ,  but he keeps it around for her . )  â waking up the fucking neighbors and shit . â but heâs fond anyway ,  sets their drinks down on the coffee table and gracelessly takes a seat on his couch .  Â
â jesus ,  imo . â  he watches her scarf the food down like she hasnât eaten in weeks ,  and concern raises .  â whenâs the last time you ate ?  i know youâre busy at work but you gotta eat .  donât make me come down there and make you . â  though ,  maybe itâs not such a  bad idea .  hit on the nurses and stuff .  well - off girls always love a walk on the wrong side of the tracks :  which is dash .
She smiles gratefully as she notices him put down the lemonade for her, as she takes another bite. She didnât really drink sodaâs or anything of the sort, but she always had a weak spot for lemonade. âPlease, the only neighbour I could really bother is Aysel and sheâs doing it herself most of the time. That, and sheâs still at the hospital - so I am good.âÂ
âI ate before I started my shift which is now... about 29 hours ago?â She says as she leans against the couch and takes a glance at her watch. âWait no - I still had a few power bars here and there.â She shrugs lightly as if itâs the most normal thing in the world. âDonât need you to get all big brother and embarrass me at the hospital, thanks. Plus, youâd just get distracted by Aysel anyways.â She teases him, a playful smile on her face as she takes another bite of food.
As a nurse youâre suppose to help others in the process of healing⊠Not taking part in stealing. Though the latter won out when Aysel had to deal with- what she believes to be- the biggest asshole on the planet. Constant use of the nurse button, swearing, insulting, throwing things, messing with equipment, breaking equipment, etc. Just constant over her twelve hour shift. So, when she saw him finally being removed and his bag left in the room⊠She took advantage. Now three hundred dollars richer and with a great need to visit the happiest place on Earth- Aysel finds herself outside a certain apartment at 3am. Her fist hits the door multiple times. âHey Records! Wake the fuck up! Weâre going to Disneyland!â @imogenrecordsâ
A week off of work, most people loved getting a break from work to do whatever they wanted to do or go on holiday or whatever. For Imogen it was like her personal hell. It wasnât necessarily that she loved her job that much that she always wanted to work, though she did love it, it was also just the fact that she still had so much to learn and she still had a long way to go in her medical career and so spending a lot of time on anything else than work just seemed like a waste of time. Only two days into her âvacationâ and she already was so done with it.
Waking up to the sound of someone banging on her door, she slowly stands up. Rubbing her eyes, she hears the familiar voice and opens the door. âJust because Iâm a Records, doesnât mean that you can yell at my door in the middle of the night, I am not Dash.â She says, her voice betraying how tired she is as she steps back to let Aysel in. âWait- did you say Disneyland?â
what shitty thing did he do in a past life that made god decide that the women in his life needed to wake him up the moment he began drifting to sleep ?  not that he minded too much ,  heâd rather die than not be there for imo or aysel when they needed him .  but dammit ,  heâs exhausted ,  and is trying & failing to stifle a yawn when he pulls the door open .  â  âssup , â  he greets ,  gesturing for her to enter . Â
itâs been a long day at work ,  heâs sore and tired and bruised .  dash collapses on the couch once imoâs inside ,  scrubbing a hand through his hair absently .   â why you always gotta yell ,  huh ?  you coulda texted me or something and i wouldâve left it unlocked for you . â
The moment that he opens the door, Imogen takes a quick look at him. âYou look like shit.â She concludes before walking to the door and heading straight for the kitchen. Setting the bags of food on the counter, she grabs two plates, knowing the place by heart. âYelling is easier, also makes sure the words get through that thick skull of yours. I wouldâve texted but my hands were pretty full, so yelling it is.â
Handing one plate to Dash, she doesnât hesitate to open all the containers of food and line them all up on the coffeetable before quickly filling up her own plate. Taking a seat on the floor, she practically inhales the food. âI needed that.â With her intial craving having been fulfilled, she takes a moment to sit back and look over to her brother. âSo how come you look like youâve been hit by a car?â
Seeing Imogen in the hospital break room brings a wave of relief over Aysel. She dramatically flops down in the seat opposite the blonde and leans her elbows on the table so her hands can wildly gesture around without injuring anyone. âI just had to witness a grown man having a Rubikâs cube removed from his-â She points downwards and whistles. âAnd Iâm traumatised, Im, full on fifty shades of rainbow squares traumatised. Iâm never going to be able to look at another one again, think about one, pass a kid playing with one without getting flashbacks. I am gunna need so much alcohol after this shift that Iâll be seeing shit like Dumbo. And you have to come with me.â @imogenrecordsâ
Focused on the textbook that she was going through, Imogen raised her head as she heard someone plop down across from her. She was about to warn the other person not to talk to her when she realised it was Aysel and instead the corner of her lips almost rise to a smile. Her eyes widen a little bit as the other tells her about a patient and she canât help but chuckle a bit. âNot going to lie, I wouldâve paid to see that.â She comments, already able to imagine what treating that patient would be like. âThough Iâm not sure I want to know how that Rubikâs Cube ended up there... However you said alcohol and even though Iâm pretty sure I didnât have much to say in this matter either way, I am so in.âÂ
Coming off a 28-hour shift at the hospital, Imogen was at a loss of what to do. If it were up to her sheâd still be there doing rounds, but unfortunately she had already far surpassed her maximum hours that week and so she was even being forced to take the next day off. She was asked to be on call in case of emergencies, but still - it wasnât the same.
Taking out the ponytail in her hair and making sure she looked semi-decent, she decided to walk into the first bar she could find. Sure, sheâd rather work - but she supposed she could find another way to fill her evening with. Taking a seat at the bar, she quickly orders her usual drink before taking a quick look around the place, trying to decide who she could go and talk with when suddenly another person came to stand next to her to order something. Ignoring it at first, Imogen couldnât help but feel a sense of familiarity when she heard the other speak. Turning her face to look over to the other, her eyes widened a little in recognition. âMr. Rossi? Oh, hey.â
It had been a long day with a surgery that ended up taking over fifteen hours, and Imogen wanted nothing more than to plop down and just do nothing for a week. Coming from miss workaholic herself, that was big. As soon as sheâd gotten changed, she was out the door - not even bothering to talk to anyone, for once genuinely not wanting to stick around longer than necessary. She wasnât quite ready to go home and sleep though, and so there was only one other place that came to mind.
Picking up enough food to feed a family of five at her favourite take-away, she made her way over to the familiar apartment building. It wasnât much longer after that that she had reached the door she needed. Her hands too full to grab the keys out of her bag, or even knock properly, she kicked the door three times. Hard enough that heâd hear it, soft enough that she didnât do any damage or piss him off. âDash, open up! I have food and I am starving so open the door before I get angry!â
the other day I saw (IMOGEN RECORDS) a (27 YEAR OLD) (SURGICAL RESIDENT) around New York City. They look a lot like (JESSICA ROTHE), donât they? Rumour has it that theyâre (INDEPENDENT, QUICK-WITTED AND HONEST) but can be (BLUNT, CALCULATING AND DISTANT) at their worst! What we know for sure is theyâre (FEMALE, PANSEXUAL) their pronouns are (SHE/HER) they were born on (AUGUST 24) live in (QUEENS) and are known as the (THE SNAPDRAGON).Â

history
born and raised in queens, and even though sheâs love to leave, sheâs pretty sure she never will
with her momâs number one priority being drugs, her dad having ran off as soon as he could and dash getting in trouble all the time and going to juvie and such, she learned how to take care of herself at a pretty young age
she knew she needed to make something of herself, there was no way she was going to let herself end up like her mom - so she spent most of her childhood focused on studying
due to spending all of her free time on either more studying or working all kinds of odd jobs so she could save up for uni, imogen didnât have that many friends and has no one sheâd consider a best friend
managed to go to uni on a full scholarship, but there were still a shitton of other expenses, so between uni work and a bunch of odd jobs she worked her ass off but it was all worth it bc she ended up graduating with honors and going on the track she wanted
despite the fact that he was absent a lot, imogen didnât recognize that dash tried his best to be there for her and she does appreciate how he always made sure that no matter what, her education wouldnât suffer due to a lack of money
as much as she loves him and is rather close with him, sheâd be lying if she said she didnât resent him at least a bit - sheâd fully aware that she grew up too fast and that she didnât really enjoy her life that much bc she was always too focused on the future
a surgical resident in a big hospital (donât ask me which one bc i cannot be bothered to do research for that now) and her work is pretty much her life
sheâs learning to loosen up more and enjoy her free time, but her mind still constantly goes to her job and her patients
she never been in a real relationship bc she always considered it a waste of time - she tried it once for like a month but she had to spend too much time on the relationship and not studying or working so she ended things
she has needs though, physical needs so she just hooks up a lot with people, often one night stands or just like friends with benefits and all that fun stuff
personality
workaholic - thereâs no other way to say it, she will gladly take on extra shifts at the hospital, no matter how tired she is
sheâs not one to make excuses and will always just be honest - though this also means that she can come across as rather harsh and blunt, sheâs learned to be better at it though, just for the sake of her patients but she still slips
is often considered a cold hearted bitch and she honestly doesnât care that people talk about her that way
itâs not easy for her to open up to people, but once she does sheâs actually a fun and excitable person
realises she can come across as quite self-absorbed and uncaring, but really aside from her education and her career, she always puts other people fist
if she cares about you, she will literally go to hell and back for you - thereâs nothing she wouldnât do for you, âneed me to help you kill that person, yes okay what time should i be there?â
wanted/possible connections
friends with benefits
hook ups
former hook ups
co-workers
someone she actually starts to fall in love with
people sheâs grown up with and almost considers friends
sort of friends
actual friends, people she really does care for even if she doesnât always know how to show it
