There was a quote I seen a while back that said something along the lines of “When you’re vulnerable with someone you give them the power to completely destroy you emotionally but you have to trust they won’t.” It’s a scary narrative but I think vulnerability also starts with trusting yourself. I see so much value and beauty in allowing yourself to surrender and free fall into someone else’s graces and show up in the most authentic way possible..knowing you allowed them to experience every part of you..the easy parts..the fragmented parts..the parts that aren’t so easy to accept..you showed up in all your humanness and honored yourself because of that. It’s not an easy feat but I think its what allows you to experience genuine connection. It’s terrifying but so rewarding. It comes with so much uncertainty and unsureness but it’s the source of allowing yourself to embrace love fully…Trusting yourself in surrendering to them and to you
Stop betraying yourself by pretending you’re not feeling what you’re feeling.
i have little to no empathy for women who continuously birth children but have little to no desire to be mothers. I understand nurturing skills are not at fixed variables in everyone but a continuously absent parent is inexcusable. if you’re going to keep popping them out and choosing to keep them, take care of them properly.
