Brandy Norwood as Cinderella - 1997
hey you, yes you, we should rp.
this is a message to all of my mutuals, especially the ones that i have not yet interacted with !! we should get together and do a thing. i can look through your wishlist, or you can look at mine. or we can pants it. even just a small thing. or even a verse. i am open to many things. but really, let’s just do a thing. okay ? like this, or message me, or IM me– i like the IM thingy. c:
Send ღ for a first kiss between our muses.
why isn’t teacher/teacher more popular???????????????? i mean
wikipedie:
the nice one who everybody loves with the grumpy and strict one that the students hate and the students wonder?????????how what the fuck
but later (not in school environment maybe by accident) the students (a group of them) see that the strict one isn’t really that strict and they love their partner
or the cool married teachers that talk about each other and everyone loves like one of them comes late to class and is like “sorry i’m late guys mx. [partner] is really sick and i wanted to be sure everything is alright”
and the students spend 5 minutes fussing over the other teacher and asking questions about their wellbeing “ARE THEY DYING” “No Joey they’ve just caught a cold” [and trying to make this one forget about their class”
or two teachers that EVERYBODY ships like the students are trying to get them together
“Soo, Mx. A, Mx. B will have a concert tomorrow for the school and they need all the help and they asked me to tell you….so you can tell other students” “Mx. B didn’t tell me anything about it” “oh it was like, last moment thing you know. they didn’t have time. and like, they really need help.”
And the teacher is like “Thanks Johnson” and trying to be really cool but REALLY BEING NOT COOL OMG WHERE’S THE SQUAD OF DUCKLINGS TO HAVE AN EXCUSE TO GO AND HELP
and like other teachers shipping them too
“Mx. A you know about the prom. There’s a rule that the teachers must have some partners too” [dunno if it already is something like this, it is not in my country] “I did not know about this rule.” “Oh it’s very recent. So, you know, teachers are never alone and can be protected in case it’s necessary. I also heard that Mx. B has no partner.”
OPPOSITE TEACHERS????
Like, science/maths teachers with art/languages teacher. Or stuff like this.
Talking about their subject passionately and the other not understanding shit but loving it anyway because they’re so fucking cute.
RIVAL TEACHERS??????
Like here is your impossible love
Teachers of the same subject in different schools fighting in competitions and shit
Or teachers of the same subject talking passionately about their course. and praising each other.
Teachers talking about their students, the bad ones and the cool ones
LGBT teachers standing up for LGBT students and offering them support and helping them feel more at ease in this clusterfuck of school
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE:
OTP 1 teacher/teacher and OTP 2 student/student
OTP 2 being so thankful that OTP 1 exists. OTP 1 giving advice to OTP 2.
DOMESTIC TEACHER/TEACHER
Grading stuff together. Bringing each other food/beverages. Helping each other through all the stuff.
AND
SO
MUCH
MORE
SERIOUSLY PEOPLE THINK ABOUT IT.
TEACHER/TEACHER
BONUS!!
“hey darling, how about you teach me some things? I promise to be good.”
“i thought you went through high-school once. Weren’t you taught my subject?”
seriously tho all that stuff that is at teacher/student can be sort of roleplay for teacher/teacher (and be less creepy)
A To-Do List for White Fandom
I’ve seen several posts circulating today about racism in multiple fandoms. The arguments and counterpoints I’ve seen are not unexpected. For background: I am writing instructor and I devote a significant portion of my classes to discussions of media representation. Why? Because I realized I was doing everything that these posts talk about: Ignoring characters of color, sidelining them for white villains or sidekicks with far less screen time, ignoring women of color entirely, etc. And all the while, like so many of you, I said, “I’m not racist.” I had in-universe explanations for why I liked this ‘ship over that one, this character more than that. I could defend and explain everything.
Racism is not who you are. It is what you do. And here’s a fact: All white people do racist things. We’ve been trained to, taught to. It’s in our culture, all around us. If you’re white, our culture has allowed most racism to be entirely invisible to us. Racism isn’t just yelled slurs and burning crosses. Often, racism is simply *not caring* about people who aren’t white. Racism is an inability to empathize with or care about the story of someone who is not white.
IF YOU’RE FEELING DEFENSIVE, PLEASE KEEP READING. I beg you. That’s exactly the feeling we have to push through. I’m going to give you a brief list of actions we can take. And I know these are important because I have to do them, all the time. Because the poison is in me, too.
If you truly believe in equality and want to be a better person, then here’s what we, as white fans, have to do: 1. BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO BE UNCOMFORTABLE. It absolutely sucks to realize you may have hurt someone, or that you might be wrong. Realizing you’ve done something racist is a stomach-churning reality check. Have the courage to face it. Don’t run from it. 2. INSTEAD OF LOOKING FOR WAYS YOU’RE NOT RACIST, LOOK FOR WAYS THAT YOU *ARE*. It’s comforting and tempting to itemize the ways in which we’re open-minded. See #1 again. Don’t let yourself be comfortable. Instead, look for what you do and ways you contribute to fandom racism. Maybe it’s reblogging or creating gif sets that leave out main characters of color. Maybe it’s forgetting to include them in your fanfiction, even when they would rightfully be there. Maybe it’s reducing them to stereotypes or caretakers for white characters. Maybe it’s ‘shipping the white leads with anyone but the POC around them. Maybe it’s accusing POC fans of “starting drama” when they discuss racism. Look at your actions and be honest with yourself. 3. PUT IN THE EFFORT TO FALL IN LOVE WITH POC CHARACTERS. Here’s the thing: It’s easy for us to fall in love with white male heroes and villains. It’s what we’ve been training for all our lives, with every movie, television show, and book we’ve ever enjoyed. Media *encourages* us to love white men. So yes, falling in love with a character of color will be harder, and it probably won’t “just happen.” So, truly look at Finn and Poe, at Cassian Andor and Bodhi. Truly look at Luke Garroway and Magnus Bane, at Luke Cage, at Iris West and James Olsen, at Michonne. Seek out ways to connect with their feelings and their stories. Look at them as full-hearted, three-dimensional human beings. Force yourself to become obsessed with them. If you do this, I would be absolutely shocked if you don’t fall in love with one of them. 4. LISTEN TO POC FANS. Yes, even if they’re angry and call you names. For my research, I spend a lot of time on blogs that talk about hating white people, hating white fans, hating white feminists. The language is furious and vitriolic. So what? They have every right to be angry. Instead of judging their anger, LISTEN to it. Try to be better. Don’t say “not all white fans,” or “not all white people.” Instead, try to be a better white person. Be a better white fan. Be a white fan who is brave enough to look at themselves and truly be an ally. Do not silence POC fans. I promise you: Listen, and you’ll realize they’re not overreacting. 5. REMEMBER THAT “ALLY” IS A VERB. Our thoughts count for nothing. It’s our actions that speak for us. Maybe you’ve read all this and you still want to insist that you’re not racist. Okay. But your actions might be. Challenge the stereotypes that exist in your head, learn to identify them as stereotypes and be willing to hold yourself and other white fans accountable. 6. REPEAT STEPS 1-5 FOREVER. We cannot cure our internalized white supremacy in a weekend. This is a forever gig. But it’s one of the most worthwhile tasks you can ever give yourself. Want to feel like you’re changing the world? Here’s where it starts.
Inevitably there’s more to add to this list. I’m always learning, but I thought it might be useful to share a few of these steps I’ve learned along the way. I love fandom. I believe profoundly in the transformative power of fanfiction, fan creations, and the friendships forged through our shared love of media.
I believe we can become BETTER PEOPLE through fandom. But it will not happen without our willingness to be transformed.
I would like to add that it’s not enough to reblog posts that make you seem like a good ally… Read that point about being uncomfortable over and over again because it seems like a lot of you forget this. It seems like the problem is allies thinking it’s enough to discuss racism when it’s comfortable, but the second the discussion forces people to look in the mirror then the conversation takes an ugly turn.
I see this a lot… Allies thinking they’re doing a good job when all they’re doing is calling out people for behaviours that don’t force them to confront realities about themselves. It’s always an external discussion. And that’s not enough. You need to take time for yourself and try really hard to work on unlearning harmful behaviours. In fandom this is hard to do. Especially when the conversation is making you confront things about media/characters/ships that you love. It’s important to acknowledge things when we’re pointing them out. It’s not good enough to reblog posts about race in fandom when you’re still refusing to do some introspection.

❛ that young man spoke to god! ❜
❛ god says go to your backyard and start digging? that makes perfect sense! ❜
❛ this is sort of what god is going for. ❜
❛ so the bible is actually a trilogy, and the book of mormon is return of the jedi? ❜
❛ this is no lie; i speak to god all the time. ❜
❛ have you heard of the all-american prophet? ❜
❛ we’re following him to paradise! ❜
❛ wow, how much does it cost? ❜
❛ oh, i guess that’s kinda what you were going for. ❜
❛ he’s gonna do something incredible. ❜
SAL TLAY KA SITI!
❛ i always thought she’d made it up. ❜
❛ now i know that place is real. ❜
❛ the war-lords there are friendly, they help you cross the street. ❜
❛ it isn’t a place of fairytales. it’s as real as it can be. ❜
❛ i’ll bet the people are open minded. ❜
❛ will i fit in? ❜
❛ soon life won’t be so shitty. ❜
❛ now salvation has a name. ❜
MAN UP!
❛ what did jesus do when they sentenced him to die? ❜
❛ when faced with his own death, jesus knew that he had to man up. ❜
❛ just like jesus, i’m growing a pair. ❜
❛ did he scream like a girl, or did he take it like a man? ❜
❛ you’re not my father! ❜
❛ time to stand up and steal the show! ❜
❛ if we want to go there, we just have to follow that while boy. ❜
❛ heavenly father, why do you let bad things happen? ❜
❛ more to the point, why do you let bad things happen to me? ❜
❛ i’m going where you need me most: orlando. ❜
❛ i’m in the lead for the very first time. ❜
❛ i’m going where the sun always shines. ❜

Look, I don’t even know where to begin because I’m not about to speak up over the voices of black roleplayers - ESPECIALLY young black roleplayers, whose fuckin lives are hard enough growing up, growing up black, growing up in this racist ass culture of ours, just trying to live their lives and have fun, and don’t need to have THIS SHIT heaped upon them - but if anyone thinks that it’s a good ass idea to drop the N word - HARD ASS ‘ER’ AND ALL - into anyone’s but god ESPECIALLY BLACK RPERS - asks then jesus fuck
you do not belong here. leave.
and if you think that’s it’s not a big deal?
you do not belong here. leave.
this place is not for you, these people are not for you to harass. if for a single second you’re ANNOYED at seeing this on the dash (again, and again you think, annoyed that this is interrupting your OTP, your fun, your ‘anxious free’ time, your safe space) then
you do not belong here. leave.
you cannot take the safety away from others with your actions (worse still, inactions) and complain about the lack of your own. I implore you to hit the fucking delete button because, and i cannot reiterate this:
you do not belong here. leave.
and as an aside, if anyone (especially black muns) needs to talk and to be listened to, i’m here for you to just let go. i know my damn place, and my voice is not above yours in this matter. on a similar note, I 100% take a good ol’ “shut the fuck up” to heart if I do happen to overstep my boundaries.
black muns, YOUNG BLACK MUNS, don’t need this.
Reblogging my own post because I saw this:
#this is all im gonna rb on the subject i do try to keep it positive
I want to reiterate the point of this entire post: You do not get to have this attitude. If you’re “trying to keep positive” by not standing your fucking ground and you’re not a black mun ESPECIALLY if you’re white, this is a privilege you do not have.
Discuss it. You have to. You have to educate yourself and others or your inaction speaks for itself.
I am going to say it again: you do not belong here. leave.
Not unfollow. Not hiatus. You either entertain this discourse on your dash and you stand in the defense of black muns or you delete.
Wait, what happened last night? I've seen a couple people talk about it but no one is actually saying what happened.
I wasn't actually around to witness the events of last night, but from the accounts of another RPer, it seems like people were using derogatory racial slurs towards black writers. It's really disgusting to see that this happens in a community that prides itself with their allyship, and there's been some great examinations of performative allyship that I've been reading that seem to apply very well here. In this time, however, I urge you and others reading to listen to and lift up the black artists and writers of the RPC. Know where your safe spaces are and support them as well, and let racists know that they are not welcome. I, and my other white (and Jewish, especially) cohort need to recognize our enabling practices, and change that behavior as well.
i want to achieve “she’s adorable and i will protect her at all costs but also i am slightly frightened by her power”

good morning dashboard! a lot of bullshit went down that i want to address. because i can. because i, as a black female roleplayer am impacted ( directly , indirectly , irrefutably so ) by the actions of yesterday. so many words are jumbling through my mind right now and i don’t even know what avenue to start off at , so i’ll just go at them one at a time.
1. THE USE OF AAVE. i understand that many of the words used in pop culture today like lit , bet , go off , sis , wig , yolo , bae , ETC gets tossed around in music and then translated into mainstream culture but the ISSUE with its usage is that white people , and white people in particular take these words with no recognition or NO validation from the black artists / intellects / etc they take it from. and this is CASUAL , casual appropriation. they’re just ~words~ what’s the big deal ? the big deal is this. it stems into a LARGER ocean , a bigger body of cultural appropriation that has been happening for centuries. so much of culture , of music , of fashion , of inspiration , is appropriating from black culture. and we never get any accolades or respect. miley cyrus wears dreadlocks and is HAILED for being fashion forward. zendaya wears dreadlocks and she’s shamed for it. says she smells like weed and olive oil. you see the issue there ? if you don’t you’re willfully being ignorant and that goes onto my next point.
2. TO BE IGNORANT IS TO BE PRIVILEGED. you know better. you all know better. you were all taught in school how segregation was downright EVIL. how slavery was an economic system that flourished by dehumanizing and battering black people into nothing more than manual labor. and some of ya’ll think that once the separate but equal law got passed that racism was over. NO HUSSIES THINK AGAIN !!!! we’re not even 100 years removed from the CRA , the movement , the death of MLK. the laws have changed but the social instruction , the teaching of diversity inclusion and loving your fellow man has not happened. racism is NOT over bc apparently we have white people chickenshit enough to go on anon and call black muns on here niggers because they’re whiteness is so fragile they can’t handle the truth and can’t handle being told they’re not allowed to have something. GUESS WHAT BLACK PEOPLE HAVEN’T BEEN ALLOWED TO HAVE ANYTHING FOR YEARS AND YOU ALL KEEP TELLING US TO BE QUIET AND JUST ~WORK HARD~ no get out. ignorance is a privilege. white people and sometimes nonblack poc are AFFORDED , in various degrees, the ability to see what the fuck is going on and turn off all receptors of empathy or competence to learn further. i am not afforded that luxury. i see black men and women killed at the end of a police gun. i see BLM getting reduced to violent , pillaging mongers. i’m called the n word on my campus. i’m denied access to some parties because i’m black. I AM NOT ALLOWED TO BE IGNORANT BECAUSE WHITENESS HAS CREATED A WORLD WHERE BLACKNESS IS STILL AN OTHER AND STILL SUBTIER TO WHITENESS. and that hasn’t changed. you ALL KNOW BETTER than to say the n-word. if you see racism call it out. to be ignorant is to side with the oppressor. you are no better.
3. SPEAKING OUT. if you are nonblack poc or a white and you see something on black issues you can still support. don’t go in there acting like you know more than the black muns who ACTUALLY experience the bullshit spoken about. but you can listen to their stories , help by giving a listening ear , by educating yourself on the issue , by learning and empowering with the black community. but silence doesn’t help and i understand that some people feel as if it’s not their place but if it’s not your place you’ll know. someone will tell you. but seeing racism and remaining silent doesn’t solve the problem. white people have a platform of activism that black people get overlooked by. so use that platform but use it smartly. know your privilege and if you can, help, as an ally the best thing you can do is stand by our side and give support but NOT act like you’re going to be a saviour ( and this is not directed at anyone in particular , this is just my take on how to be an ally if you’re white ). and to my nonblack poc people ??? oppression is not universal. we all experience in waves. but the common identity we share in being an OTHER should radicalize us to fight for one another in the best way we can. do not stand silent on black issues. it hurts us. and the fight for equality and inclusion should be across the board. and to those of you who have spoken out , who have recognized their inaction did more harm than good , thank you.
4. FINALLY , TO MY BLACK MUNS. i love you. to those of you who have fought the fight last night i applaud you. i know how tiring and soul draining it can be to yell out for acceptance when it seems like you’re screaming into a void. i understand that completely. may you find rest today. may your spirits be renewed. may your hearts be healed. nothing is more saddening and soul crushing then to realize and recognize that people don’t care about us. that they’d rather be comfortable in their racist ignorance and stoop to calling us niggers rather than to see fault in their actions and move for change. it hurts realizing that people don’t care and that we don’t know how to make them care. and to always have to fight again and again only to be met with opposition is back breaking. i hope you have found spaces to exist and be free and experience black joy with others. and i hope there can be change , a spearhead , a revolution to make this site just as inclusive for black muns as it can be. and if there’s a way to do that i would love to help , to plan , to mobilize. i hate this site but i keep coming back to it for the connections i’ve made are dearly important to me.
IN CONCLUSION, THE RACISM THAT OCCURRED LAST NIGHT WAS DISGUSTING. ABHORRENT. AND CHANGE NEEDS TO HAPPEN. IMMEDIATELY.
“And when we kissed one another for the first time I could swear I heard our souls whisper ever so quietly, ‘Welcome home.’”
— Beau Taplin || Welcome home.
