AH, CONTRIBAND, NO doubt. Had she any sort of morality against stealing food, she’d probably refuse such a gift...
But a moral being she is not. She needed a snack to enjoy with her coffee later, after all. Dutifully, she offers a pat or two for each head in front of her. Good dog.
SHE’S BRUSHING HER hair over her ears in the hopes that she can hear less of... whatever it is that’s going on.

Monica reaches into a nearby file and retrieves a bound set of papers, each covered in dark runes and diagrams that detail magic that is surely forbidden. The papers are held out to Modeus as if they were nothing more than a picture book.
❝... I believe I have found something. Be sure to let me know if the results are unsatisfactory so I may file a proper complaint.❞

MONICA LAYS HER head down on the desk, waving a hand.

Monica always prided herself in her work, it was a lot like how Judgement prided herself in dishing out punishment or how Azzie loved asking way too many questions… it was simply part of who she was a demon.
Of course, even with that in consideration, The Awesome Demon couldn’t just let her friend rot away behind a desk… could she? Hell no! It was time to liven things up after being away from one another for so long!
“PanPan! Come on! Let’s go out and just explore stuff, way more awesome than melting away in that chair!”
HAD JUSTICE BEEN able to see the state in which Monica sat, surrounded in paperwork and half-slouching in her chair, she’d be forgiven for assuming she’d become some sort of undead.
If you ask Monica, she’d nearly be convinced that was true. Sluggishly, she sits back up in her chair, running one hand through her hair as the other pushes a stray folder to the opposite side of her desk.
❝... I might have to take you up on that, for once. Give me a moment to remember how to walk, please.❞
SHE CAN’T REMEMBER how long she’s been sitting here at this desk, working her life away... Hours? Days? Years?
... She can’t feel her legs anymore.
SOON... SOON THE house will be one demon quieter.

One head. Two heads. Three heads pop up gradually on the opposite side of her desk. One reaches up and sets down a piping hot cup of coffee, clearly made by the man of the house, but delivered by her. The next puts down a very dead bird. The third is just sitting there, smiling very widely. Her tails are going wild behind all three of her, as they await Pandemonica's hand on her head. She sits, staring expectantly.
AH, HERE WE are... though it isn’t the usual face ( faces? ) she expected to see with it. Surely Cerberus knew how dangerous of a job this could be? Slowly, Pan places her clipboard down, reaching for the coffee with one hand whole setting the bird to the side with the other. A small sip is taken...
… Mm, a passible cup this time. Lucky. Dutifully, Pan reaches over to pat each of Cerberus’ heads in turn. Good dog.
❝Hello, ma’am, thank you for relying on Hell’s customer service hotline. How may we assist you today?❞
Slit eyes graze over the file of the caller, the demon only half-listening to the stream of complaints being listed into her ear. Let’s see... oh, this one’s in the fifth circle? That’s a fun one...
❝Yes ma’am, I understand,❞ Pan cuts in before the soul on the phone can complain more. ❝Please hold while we review your file and get you on the line with a proper specialist.❞
A button is pressed on her phone ( subjecting the soul on the line to horrible, compressed elevator music no doubt ) before Pandemonica places her phone face-down on the desk... and puts it on the charger.

AND SHE’S BACK from her little excursion, totally spotless save for a few stray bits of straw that she idly shakes out of her hair and discards.

… And just like that, she goes right back to work as if she’d never left... Without grabbing a cup of coffee first.
…SHE NEEDS TO step out of the house for a minute. Alone. She’ll see you all again in an hour or so.

|| While I don’t imagine demons get sick in the traditional sense, there is a factor that might make Pan come across as somewhat sickly. So, let’s address the elephant in the room: Pan’s fatigue. Allow me to start off by saying that were Pan a mortal, her fatigue would absolutely classify as chronic. Her energy is at a constant state of near depletion that no amount of sleep ever seems to remedy, and as a result she’s often prone to migranes and irritability. This is something she regularly combats with caffeine, which has proven surprisingly effective. The cause of this fatigue is, quite literally, her job. Pandemonica is a remarkably violent demon with a physical need to cause pain to others. Because of her job’s requirement to be accommodating and professional, this ‘lust for sin’ as she calls it is kept very subdued. Simply by acting calm and borderline polite, she is inadvertently causing a lot of strain to herself. The only ‘cure’ for her fatigue would be to allow herself to permanently succumb to her urges and lash out as her impulses see fit… which as Pan sees it, would only get her exiled. ||
🍒 : how much does my muse value companionship? do they constantly keep people around them, or do they prefer to be alone often? do they have or desire to have many friends? do they see every meeting as an opportunity to make a new friend?

For a long moment, Pandemonica falls totally silent, sharp gaze directed distantly at the floor. With that sort of power and authority... All the pain she could cause ( lost souls and other demons alike ) without repercussion, the possibility of not having to be exhausted and hungry again...?
Tempting and appealing a thought, but one that she also knows is out of reach. So very out of reach. How depressing.
With a quiet crackling sound, her horns shrink back down to size.
