∙     i am caught up with the manga and i am anti anime  ( bones studio my absolute beloathed ).  i will keep tagging #spoilers / until the anime is caught up with the manga.  this portrayal will be heavily canon divergent !

∙     this interpretation of katsuki is hard of hearing.  he is not completely deaf,  he can speak just fine,  and he is fluent in japanese sign language.

∙     tw for bullying mention:  as a full disclaimer,  i do acknowledge katsuki as someone who was once a bully and feel very strongly about his development.  i can take criticism of my portrayal but he is not and i will not have him be some punching bag for anyone dealing with their own personal issues.  this is a fictional character,  not your irl middle school bully.  the notion that people cannot change or learn from their mistakes is such a bullshit perception,  so if you disagree with katsuki showing any growth or being redeemed then we will not get along.  also,  if i see any s/chool s/hooter jokes i will block on sight.

∙     tw for parent relationships:  i am under the impression that katsuki’s relationship with his mother isn’t abusive.  is it healthy?  no,  it’s not great.  but i think if horikoshi wanted to write mitsuki as abusive then he would do so more constructively as he has done with enji;  her actions always struck me as more “slapstick” comedy,  which we never see with enji and never will because hori has shown what he does present as abusive.  i am not defending it or stating that smacking your child is fine,  but in katsuki’s instance i wanna say “it’s not that deep”.  mitsuki’s words are harsh,  but when it comes to dealing with her son they have a tough love that only they can understand.  there is a difference between dysfunctional and abuse.  so i see their relationship as not so simple,  they are a caring family albeit loud and chaotic about it.  there is a brief section in this video essay here that explains better than i can in a more critical perspective.

∙     i don’t want to engage with romantic shipping unless i’m familiar with the mun!  i am very selective,  and this muse is just as picky.  cannot help being earth signs.

∙     i do not ship kiri/baku romantically.

∙     at the end of the series,  katsuki and the others are adults and i have auverses where he is older but there won’t be any smut!  do not interact if you age up minors for sexual content.  there might be n/sfw jokes or mentions here and there but that’s about it.  nonsexual intimacy can be explored.

     What are you willing to RP when it comes to shipping?

i’m willing to try anything,  but it’s all within the boundaries of bakugo’s personality.  he’s a specific type of muse that can either blend surprisingly well or clash horribly with others,  i’m open to working on dynamics and different scenarios.  i like crossovers but i’m very picky with them,  and i currently don’t want to explore romantic relationships with ocs,  just as a preference.  anything dark,  gloomy,  toxic,  they’re all interesting to pick apart.  just so long as it’s not anything weird!  bakugo and the others may be in their twenties by the end of the series but i am not interested in diving into anything sexual for him,  it still feels very weird to me please he’s like a nephew

     How large does the age gap have to be to make it uncomfortable?

anything more than 2 to 3 years when he’s 16 - 17,  and anything more than 5 years of difference when he’s 25.

     Are you selective when shipping?

yes,  hella selective.  he and i are both earth signs that don’t give a fuck about romance lol.  but as a serious answer,  i am aware that bakugo is a popular character and with that comes great responsibility comes ships much more easily for that type of muse,  and i don’t particularly care for that tbh.  i don’t want people to assume that i aim to write a certain ship or that i depict him a certain way.  it’s why i specifically included a rule that i don’t write kiri/baku romantically.  and it’s not that i don’t want to ship him with anyone,  i just want to be emotionally invested in order for it to work out.  and look,  sometimes muses hit it off really well only to sizzle out later,  and vice versa where at first it doesn’t seem like it’d work out and they do end up being compatible.  point being,  i really like building bakugo and his relationships and it’s not always gonna be with romantic lenses.  and just because i do like a certain ship does not automatically mean i want to ship with someone who writes that character,  we have to write ic and chat ooc a lot for me to really feel bakugo’s muse rise for a romantic dynamic.

     How far do steamy moments have to go before they’re considered NSFW?

i will not write anything more than kissing and hugging on this blog,  and even that can be too intense for bakugo u_u

from canon:  ochako,  izuku,  shoto,  shinso,  camie,  setsuna,  and generally i like the idea of anyone having a one sided crush on him because,  c’mon guys,  he’s fucking awesome.  as for crossover muses i’ve written with,  at the top of my head there was:  orihime ( i was the one writing orihime teehee ),  yuno from black clover,  aaaand i think every other relationship has been mostly platonic / familial,  which i love all the same ofc <3

     Does one have to ask to ship with you?

for this guy,  yes please.  i want to know if you’re interested in something more than a platonic bond!  nothing personal if it doesn’t work out though ok 

     How often do you like to ship?

i like shipping,  i do it a lot,  but writing it with this muse is different.  so even if i like to ship,  i won’t want to unless i really want to,  yanno?  bakugo is a fickle guy when it comes to affection and anything more than platonic will take effort,  he is someone whose friends had to slowly but surely coax him into opening up.  and i’m also more into his friendships because he’s shown to be such a loyal and devoted person that being close with someone doesn't necessarily mean anything romantic.  so,  yeah,  i like to ship,  but i won’t really do it often with this muse.

yessir.  however right now i’m only interested in writing with a single interpretation of a character when it comes to romantic shipping,  i don’t want to be someone’s collective or backup.

more or less!  doesn’t mean i won’t really get into the ships i already have though.

for the bakugo ones:  kacchako,  bakudeku,  todobaku,  todobakudeku,  shinbaku,  bakukami,  bakumomo,  bakumina,  bakujiro,  bakusetsu,  bakucamie.  for non bakugo ones:  kirimina,  togachako,  kamijiro,  todomomo,  izumei,  inatodo.  as for the adult characters i don’t have much of an opinion since we spend so much time with the class instead of literally anything else but yeah i’d say:  bakugo’s parents because i’m TIRED of seeing them shipped with other people omg THOSE ARE THE ONLY HAPPILY MARRIED COUPLE THAT WE KNOW OF STOP PAIRING THEM APAAAART,  then there’s dabihawks but only within the concept of canon where everything is the same and they were just hate fucking in the background it is a tragic chaotic mess that does not lead anywhere i cannot stress enough how much i doooon’t give a fuck about them in a healthy/romantic way i haven’t seen a single interpretation where they’re more interesting than what canon gave us in subtext,  mirko x burnin looks like they’d be a riot,  and then i’m self inserting myself for lady nagant fr goodbyeeee that’s it!!!

hills like an ever stretching expanse of blanket: grass covered fields for as long as the eye could see. it's nothing compared to the birds eye view they'd just descended from. yuno is more than comfortable in the air, but the ground is always a welcome sensation under his feet. THE VEGETATION HERE IS THICK, KNEE LENGTH IN DENSE MATS, BLADE EDGES SOFT BUT BRISTLED. bell busies about his head like an annoying honey bee, his constant swatting doing little to deter her from smacking against his cheeks, pulling and pushing in an attempt to get any attention from her mage. [ it's something she won't get — head buried into the depths of the map he holds in his hands, eyebrows pinched tight atop the bright of his nose, huffing in frustration. ] the paper crinkles under the weight of his fingertips, only sparing his gaze from it to peek up, do a complete three sixty of their surroundings, only to throw his hands up in the air. a dramatic show of exasperation: the map blown away by winds he himself created. he levels a pout at katsuki, something they're both well versed in, while the sylph chases after their purposefully lost artifact. ❝   whoever made this map was stupid and we're definitely lost right now.   ❞

✭          there’s a clear distinction between the levels of frustration that could be learned just by looking at both these young men in the vast field,  travelers of the world could relate to either one or the other in the case of being lost.   while Yuno busies himself with the map by glaring at it as if it offended his mother,  Katsuki stays atop his dragon,  fiddling with a blade of grass between his fingers.   the grand creature’s scales shine healthily under the sun,  where it begins to yawn,  bored,  as its leader looks up to the sky to observe the clouds.   it’s a nice day.   probably not nice enough for Yuno.   Katsuki can’t help but smile a little at his partner’s display.   an  i  told  you  so  is probably inappropriate at this time,  especially when Yuno is pouting like that.   Katsuki knows better.          “     don’t  overstress  it,   we’ll  find  our  own  way.   it  just  means  we  have  to  be  more  vigilant.     ”          which isn’t a problem for them,  they’re more than capable.

his dragon hums loudly,  making the surrounding grass vibrate with it.   its head lowers as if to rest,  then it stretches out its front legs and its wings fan out,  providing shade for anything to sit under.   Katsuki stands,  his eyes level with the horizon,  and takes note of the wind’s direction.   unhelpful in this case,  their best bet would be to keep traveling by air until they reach somewhere inhabited.   proper directions would be helpful,  but so would food.   just a couple more hours and his flying companion will want to prioritize hunting.          “     if  we’re  in  a  rush,   let’s  keep  flying,   we’ll  eventually  see  something  useful.     ”          he rolls up the grass in his hand and flicks it away,  he brushes his palm down his pant leg.          “     the  soil  suggests  we’ve  been  moving  west.   the  clouds  are  moving  in  the  same  direction,   so  the  opposite  way  is  east.   see?   let’s  keep  building  up  from  there.     ”

the jerk of the head , acknowledgment and understanding both wrapped up in one . she has no need for hearing aids, sometimes she thinks she hears too well actually, but can understand the toll that loud noise can take . especially from the cacophony that is class 1 - A , with overlapping noises and voices mixed in the worst noise you can imagine. it's bad enough for her, she can only imagine how it might be for him . jirou tracks his movement of hands, alongside internally and playfully rolling her eyes at his blatant disregard for general manners , she 's not surprised ... having known him for long enough now it's more expected . her attention is rapt, opal eyes taking the time to watch his hands move. this time she nods as she responds .   ❛ yeah , i couldn ' t hear myself think  ❜  she pauses to lift her hand, the pad of her finger lightly tapping against her earlobe .  ❛ they're so loud sometimes ,it makes me sensitive   ❜ she offers a shrug at the end, her eardrums stopped ringing once she got into the quiet, the chaos turned into nothing but a muted version of itself.

✭          “     guess  we’re  both  fucked  in  that  department.     ”          he can only guess that someone whose quirk revolves around amplifying sound can get rather overstimulated,  perhaps,  more than average.   at least he can somewhat mute everything out when he has enough,  not completely but definitely more agreeable with his temper.   he’s never been a sociable guy either,  and with no need to pretend to be otherwise.   even now,  with only one other person in the room with him,  his hand wraps around his phone in his pocket and lifts it up to scroll wordlessly,  a neutral look on his face.   the light is dimmed low and there’s no sound as he reads through online news.   he doesn’t make any motion to speak up again,  they both had left the group to recharge from that after all.   absently,  though,  the words leave his mouth:          “     be  honest,   how  many  conversations  have  you  eavesdropped  here  in  school?     ”
