Re: that one really ableist anon about flashing lights
It is easier for everyone involved to not have flashing lights. It is a non action to make the concert safer. I am not entitled for pointing out that mcr is not and will not be “for everyone” until they (and fans) can be assed to make it fucking accessible. I don’t go to mcr (or most any) concerts because of my photosensitivity. I know it will not be safe or enjoyable. I’m saying I deserve the fucking option. I deserve to be able to safely participate in bandom. I deserve to be able to watch stage antics like the rest of you. But I can’t. Because you people don’t give a shit about disabled people.
(By the way: “having a friend comfort me” and “getting tools to help me” will do fuckall. Dimming the screen/wearing sunglasses does not fix the flashing lights. Having a friend with me will at best mitigate the harm done to me by the flashing lights. I’ve been to plenty of live performances and they seemed to understand that flashing lights are an unnecessary hazard. Unlike you)
