I took a nap. And when I woke up, the sky was in the prettiest shades. And it made me think of you. For the first time in months it made me think of they way you laughed and the touch of your hand on my skin and the ringing in my ears when you broke me again. The terror in my mind that would follow. And I was angry, I was crying, I was screaming, being reminded of what felt like actual physical pain in my chest.

I’m quiet now again and it’s all better now. But it keeps coming back one way or another. I’ll always think of you somehow. Sometimes for hours and hours every day. Sometimes weeks will pass by where I don’t care, not for a second. It comes and goes in waves.
