one more thing, people really need to build up their tolerance of watching characters be imperfect, even when it’s out of the norm. doesn‘t go with previously established stuff? instead of getting angry at the writers, the character, or anyone liking the episode, how about reading something in the episode that might give you a clue as to why this happened? and why they chose to write something like this? makes watching more fun when you’re not expecting everyone to be made of cardboard and make only perfectly logical and wholesome actions always. (also this series is decades old, please let the show try new things with their characters.. please..)

just. build that interest in messy human interactions. be kind to a character who is having a bad day and might make mistakes cause of that. or a character who does something dense cause they aren’t paying attention. especially if they’re young children. it’ll be okay, i promise.
