Spent yesterday making a daily schedule, and today I went whole hog on it. Woke up early, ate well, got both a morning walk and afternoon calisthenics in. Also de-vined the yard, which was a fairly physical task.

Today is my mom's birthday and we went out to eat, so I'm eating a bit off script. Don't mind changing things up for special events, but I do want to make sure I have today accounted for here.
My birthday is in 10 days, as well.

Up one pound from last week, but I know I've been on track and consistent so I'm not bothered. It likely spiked up because of dinner yesterday.
Regardless, I'm on week three, and still going. Starting today, I'm going to regularly hit that routine I put together last week.

I wanted to learn how to use Blender and start making 3D art, so a while back I followed the classic donut tutorial, the blender right of passage; here's the end result of that
I do more than just exercise, from time to time I art, too
It's been a million and a half years since I posted anything to the art blog, here's something I made a while back
My current meal plan is super high fiber, probably the most fiber I have ever managed to get regularly, and damn it makes a huge difference. It's helped me take control of cravings incredibly quickly, because I just feel a lot more full throughout the day.
More importantly, everything I'm eating right now is stuff I enjoy. I have the benefit of old knowledge, I know what I like, I've done my experimenting with food, and I can bring that in at the start.

Okay, I have a routine in mind to get started with. I'm pulling out the classic minimal routine to start with. Every other day, I'll do two high-ish rep sets each of push-ups, rows, bodyweight squats, and crunches. Hitting the basic push/pull/leg/core exercises, just to get started with. On my off days, I also need to do some basic mobility training for my shoulders.
Cardio for now is just getting my steps in, I've tried jogging again but the additional weight is killing my ankles. I'll build back up to that, too.

Time to check in. One week in, down 7.2 lbs this week, mostly water weight from a change to my carb and sodium profile, but certainly I've lost some body fat as well.
Managed to get nearly 12,000 steps yesterday to kick off a regular step commitment (after all, I got that fitbit for a reason didn't I?)
My commitment and drive is strong. The past couple of years may have looked (and felt, for sure) like a fall or stagnation, but much of that was spent gaining some life experience and processing a lot of difficult emotions I've never had to deal with before, and I am better for having gone through it.

It's only Friday and my next weigh-in isn't until Sunday, but Friday is still a good day to reflect on the week so far.
I've been doing well at not over indulging. I've had to turn down a lot of junk food throughout the week, but this is more important to me than my cravings.
I want to commit specifically to 10k steps per day starting tomorrow. I think that'll be a great way to ease back into things.

New haircut for a new chapter of my life! I noticed I almost always get a haircut when I'm about to make some kind of life change.
Still going very well. This time around I plan to start training early on, rather than after the weight loss like I did before. I'm going to put together a very simple routine and start regular strength training next week.
