My fuckass ex crush who's also rlly smart and lowkey a stuck up bitch abt it asked me to submit this article for a publication in our uni where she's part of the editorial board and when I DID submit the article she tells me that she put my article through an ai checker and APPARENTLY my original work of writing is 28% ai 😭😭

okay now obviously I understand why she had to put it through an ai checker because like yk in this age you can never be sure and from her perspective as an editor it makes sense. but it is so frustrating because I did NOT in fact use a shred of ai to write this and how am I even supposed to even defend myself 😭😭

so after she messaged me I put through a couple of online ai checkers myself to understand what exactly it had flagged as ai plagiarism, by doing this, I learnt two things-

1. It had marked in particular this entire paragraph in which i wrote DIRECT data from the official international federation of the phonographics industry website, and mind you, this data is writing in a clear, understandable and generic format on these websites so that it is direct, concise and easily understandable, now if this sentence structure is considered generic and signals ai use, what can I do 😭😭 was i meant to phrase it a more 'human and personal' way???

2. These ai checkers are WILDLY innacurate, one website told me my article was 28% ai, the other said 13% and yet another one said it was 48% AI generated. Which one is somebody supposed to trust???

Now in this day and age while I understand the need to verify submissions for possible use of ai, what am I meant to do when I am accused of using it but have not actually done so??? How does she expect me to prove it to her that just because a sentence i wrote is (in hindsight) structured a tad generically does NOT mean I used ai like 😭😭

There are people who like to read more stories with ocs than reader inserts, so use the fucking right tag go reach that community and stop spamming your stories among ours.

I don't think you get it but, you know, the purpose of fanfics with reader insert is to make the reader imagine her/himself as the mc of the story. The best part of these fics is the fact that EVERYONE can be included in them.

SO WHY THE FUCK DO YOU HAVE TO RUIN THEM BY MAKING THE MC A PERSON THAT LOOKS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FROM THE READER AND EVEN HAS A NAME THAT IS NOT THEIRS?

I think a lot of people were raised being told that things are bad with no explanation as to why they’re bad and I don’t think I know enough about psychology to make any big statements about that

but anyways I think a lot of people see cheating on your partner as bad because they were just told that sex outside of your partner is bad or something but really cheating on your partner is bad because you had an agreement based on trust with them and you broke that trust so like why should they trust you with anything else now
