10 seconds. That is probably how much time you’ll have before your friends enter your room. You could have seen it coming. They like to swing by quite frequently, as your flat is the nearest to college, and even when you are not at home, you always leave the door unlocked. A smart student would have expected a surprise party. Not you though.

9 seconds. Your friends start singing as they open the door to your apartment. The fact that you always start your quirky activities in your bedroom gives you a little extra room to cover up the diaper you have put on. Time to move.

8 seconds. Having jumped up, you reach for the nearest piece of clothing.

7 seconds. It’s a pair of leggings. Gotta be quick, why is this thing so twisted?

6 seconds. Left foot in. You can now hear their footsteps.

5 seconds. Right foot in. They are getting closer. It’s hard to judge how much time they’ll need to get to the room.

4 seconds. As you pull it up, you can see your fingers shining through the white fabric. That won’t suffice. Why did you buy the abdl-diapers again?

3 seconds. You bolt for the skirt across the room.

2 seconds. Miscalculations were made. The door opens. You turn around. One after another, the faces of your friends stop smiling as they realize what is happening in front of them. The choir dies away. The sight of one of their best friends, dressed in a patterned onesie, a thick, large, printed diaper and a see-through leggings requires some moments to completely process. Instinctively, you have tried to protect your breasts with your skirt. Not the smartest move, but you only realize that as your eyes make contact with the black lens of the phone camera that is still aimed at you. Nobody moves. The once cheerful group of young women is completely frozen. The only movement comes from the burning candles on your birthday cake.

A faint hissing fills the room. As your friends see your diaper swelling up, the first one falls into an unbelieving chuckle. And as the noise of hysterical laughter fills the room, you start crying.
