How do u know when u have a connection with someone

it’s really hard to say because everyone experiences connection in different ways. in my experience, usually, good connections come with good conversation and mutual respect. i find that people that are potentially interested will try to spend more time with you, might bring you stuff, or try to be more physically close.  that being said, everyone shows affection in different ways and not everyone will do those things to express it! at the end of the day, you’ll probably just feel it when it happens

What is the difference between passion and lust

i think in a lot of circumstances they could be used interchangeably, but i find that the word “lust” carries an image of sin or deviance that passion doesn’t necessarily. this can change depending on the context in which either is used, but that’s the main difference (in my opinion)

is there such a thing as, like, kind of in love??? no, it's not a crush; it's totally love, but... really low-key and quiet. i have fallen in love with this person exactly twice, and the first time it was heart-wrenching, terrible, passionate, unrequited love. and now... look, i know they don't love me back, but this time it's actually fine??? i'm really okay, to the point i might not even want a relationship with them. i just. i love them. and they don't love me back. and i might date other people and i won't mind at all when they date other people but a part of me will always harbor this weird, soft, quiet love for them, and it's just like, wow, you mean so much to me in such a weird way and i don't know how to deal with that.

I like him a lot, and it took a long time for me to build up that attraction, and we're one steps shy of a real relationship. It feels like we're going through the motions when we talk and its been a month of the same things. But another boy came around. he made me feel butterflies from the start, and he and I can talk for ages. He isn't as sweet and soft as the other, but he makes me laugh and cry and feel things harder than I have in a long time. We bully eachother in public (1/2)

(2/2) and it's nice to have the banter, but then in private we play nice and tease each other. The first boy has done nothing wrong and has been nothing but loving and sweet and never made me cry. The second stirs up something in me I havent seen before, but God he makes me so mad and I cry but he's always right there to pick me back up. I dont know what to do. Im the only reason 1 and i arent official yet bc I was too scared but now idek who I want? 1 wants to date but idek if i want to? Help!

This is a really tough spot anon, I think the most important thing to do is to figure out what is going to be best for you and make sure that you communicate clearly with all parties involved. If you’re not sure you want to commit, make sure that 1 knows that. With 2, it may not be a bad idea to think about how he’s having an effect on your emotions and how that could affect you in the long-term. In the end, following your instinct will be the best way to figure out your path. Hope everything goes well for you!

I had a toxic ex. He hated all my hobbies and critized them mb to make me stop doing them idk. Like for example he would say mb i read bc i have no friends and should talk to people. It made me so sad. He still complains to people i should stop reading and talk, but i talk to ppl everyday idk what his problem was sigh
