I haven’t been on this thing in years and I just stumbled upon Tumblr again this morning and wow what a journey life has been. 5 years ago I was a sad college kid and now I’m marrying my best friend in a month and have the best life I could hope for. Keep your head up, kids, life gets better❤️

For those of you who don’t know the context here, that woman lived in a period when women couldn’t vote and was meeting the nation’s first female presidential candidate.
The second photo is her watching one of the most qualified women in history with 30+ years geopolitical experience lose to a racist, sexist yam in a hair piece.
I looked up what this woman had to say about Hillary’s loss and:
When asked over and over why she was supporting Clinton, Steininger always had the same answer: experience. Clinton had the training and knowhow, she said, and Trump didn’t.
Trump’s presidency is “not going to affect me because I am going to die soon,” she said. “It’s my children and my grandchildren that I am concerned about. Because our country is going to be set back. That’s what Trump promised to do. A woman’s right to choose is out the window. Health insurance he’ll do away with. Same-sex marriage he is opposed to.
“We made a lot of progress in my lifetime and it looked like we’d make a lot more,“ she added. “Now, we are not.”

For Steininger, who has been sporting a handmade “Hillary ’16” sign on her walker since the caucus, early voting was the first milestone in her “plan,” as she called it. Beginning with her Christmas letter, she told her friends and family that she decided she had “to stay alive to vote for Hillary.”
With Clinton losing, Steininger said she isn’t sure she’d live long enough to complete that plan. And as the clock ticked past 11 p.m., then midnight and finally 1 a.m., Steininger’s hope faded and her body began folding in on itself.
“I want (Hillary) to know I did what I could and I am sorry,” she said. “There will be a woman voted president of the United States. It won’t be Hillary, but sooner or later there will be a woman voted president.”
She took an extended pause: “A woman got this far, so I think it will be easier the next time around. That’s progress.”
I legitimately just started sobbing again
One. You see her for the first time and she’ll walk right past you like you are a crack in the wall and she is a skyscraper with her head so high in the air and when you can’t sleep you’ll think about the way her eyes strayed into yours for a moment too long before breaking away and disappearing into the crowd of people. Two. She’ll look both ways before telling you she loves you under her breath and when she hugs you her eyes scan the empty room as if the walls had eyes and ears and mouths that could give you away. Three. When she’s curled up on your lap shaking with mismatched breaths you’ll wonder how someone who looked like she carried mountains on her shoulders could crumble so easily in your arms like the tornado in her mind finally hit her and knocked her off her feet. Four. In half-light she’ll run her fingers over your arms like she is reading words carved into your skin, binding them together into the perfect metaphor and you’ll hear it playback in your head at 4am when your head runs wild with thoughts of her. Five. You’ll find a safe haven on rooftops and abandoned rooms where she’ll set fire to your insides with hushed breaths between kisses planted perfectly on your lips and make you wonder how dangerous it is to play with wild flames while your body is made of paper. Six. You’ll stare God right in the eye and tell him that if loving her was a sin then you want no place in heaven with him because the way her lips fit perfectly on your neck is a type of paradise you’ll never forget.

Don't get me wrong though. I hate Trump. They're just both incredibly terrible people that only care about themselves and don't care who they have to step on or take out to reach the top. Hillary is not a champion for minorities. She's a rich white heterosexual woman protected by security and money.

Hillary is deeply involved with Middle Eastern countries (taking money from, selling weapons to) that support jailing or the death of all homosexuals (and a far greater percentage of Muslims disagree with homosexuality than Xians). Even if Donald Trump disagreed with LGBT (I haven't seen this) and due to the fact he only dislikes illegal immigrants while Democrats literally devised campaign strategies on how to capture the votes of "the taco bowl" maybe Hillary Clinton isn't exactly any better.
Donald Trump and his vice president are outwardly against LGBT. Trump has been a consistent opponent of marriage equality. He said that he opposed it because he was a “traditional” guy, choosing to support domestic partnership benefits instead. Trump later reversed himself and said he also opposed civil unions. Despite a brief flirtation with “evolving” in 2013, Trump has consistently maintained his opposition to marriage equality, sometimes by citing polling and making an analogy to his dislike of long golf putters. While Trump at one time said that federal law should protect people from discrimination based on sexual orientation, he has taken aggressively anti-equality positions as a formal candidate. Trump has expressed support for the so-called First Amendment Defense Act (FADA) which would lead to more Kim Davis-style discrimination. He has declined to support the Equality Act. In addition to this, his vice president is one of the most anti-LGBT republicans to date and is also looking to appoint ultra-conservative supreme court justices; all of these officials believing in terrifying practices such as gay conversion therapy.

I am not going to be able to watch Hillary concede this. It will break my heart. This woman has spent thirty years in public service. She’s tried her entire adult life to break glass ceilings for all us women coming after her, and this is her thanks. To lose to an unqualified racist bigot. This is wrong. This is disgusting. America hasn’t stood up for the values it’s supposed to believe in tonight and that’s heartbreaking.

Literally millions of Americans right now are telling women this: It doesn’t matter how qualified you are. It doesn’t matter how smart, capable, or experienced you are. It doesn’t matter if you are the most qualified person for your job in American History… You are still not as good as a sexist, racist, bigoted, misogynistic fuckboy who paints himself orange.
In my opinion, that’s a fucking shame.
