"you obviously, gramps." he calls back, a smug little smile on face. he made sure to keep a fair amount of distance between him and cop, though he didn't slow down since the man had long enough legs to keep up. at the questioning of his parents, the brunette frowned and he let out a snort. "they're gone." though that shitface of a father is probably still alive, adrian recalls that the man wanted to move out of raccoon city for his own 'mental health'.

the 11 year old paused and without any warning, grabbed a hold of the older man's belt and yanked back. just as he did, the door just up ahead slammed open as three zombies stumbled out, one falling onto the floor but the other two managed to stay on their feet. attention focused solely on leon, they started shuffling forward.
"hope you got enough bullets left, old-timer." he quickly tacked on. "you can thank me later." not even waiting, stick still in hand, adrian dove in between the space of the two zombies, who ignored him entirely. the third was still trying to get up from the floor and was finally on its knees but adrian just proceeded to stab the pointed end of the stick through the undead's eye.

α ³ MARCH 1989 / edith bennett nee grant, dies from a heart attack, caused by a combination of previously undiagnosed heart condition and the side effects of undergoing umbrellaβs clinical trial, which was worsened during her tenuous labour.
α ³ 1989-1991 / adrian is sent to live with his remaining grandparent, his father had turned to alcohol to cope with the loss of his wife and blamed his son for what happened to her. unfortunately, his grandfather suffered a stroke and could no longer care for adrian, sending him back to his father.
α ³ 1992-1995 / after evidence of abuse and neglect were uncovered, cps removed adrian from his fatherβs care and he went into the system. at the end, adrian was sent to the raccoon city orphanage after a spot opened up for him.
α ³ 1995-1998 / not long after his arrival into the orphanage, adrian starts undergoing various tests and experiments. scientists noted his ability to recover from said tests faster than the other children.
adrian was already dealing with previous trauma, so what went on in the orphanage in secret was more than enough to activate his latent psychic abilities. it started out subtly at first, lights flickering whenever he was angry or sullen, random items just falling off shelves.
his aggressive attitude became even more so because of his telepathic and psychometric abilities that were slowly activating. as a result, he grew an aversion to physical contact since it always seems to happen when someone is touching him.
it was also during this time that adrian started going by adrian instead of henry or junior, some went along with it, others did not. throughout this period, adrian started running away or made numerous attempts of it. irons always made sure to fuel further distrust between adrian and the rest of the police in his department, as a result, adrian gains the reputation of being a troublemaker.
α ³ EARLY 1997 / at some point, one of the doctors overseeing the experiments noted unusual brain scans and adrian is selected to undergo further tests and examinations. from then on, he starts staying at nest for various periods of time.
α ³ JULY 1998 / the spencer mansion/arklay mountains incident happens.
α ³ SEPTEMBER 1998 / the raccoon city outbreak happens. adrian had been at nest when it started and using the chaos, he escaped from the facility and into the sewers while going to the surface for supplies now and again. he meets various characters and at the end, is able to escape from raccoon city before it was destroyed.
α ³ POST-RACCOON CITY / in the chaos after the incident, adrian is returned to his biological father in new york city (who moved there after adrian was taken by cps). still an alcoholic but functional, henry manages to behave to an extent as someone from the government would check in every 3 to 6 months until they eventually stopped in 2000.
during this time, adrian would constantly leave his fatherβs apartment (to escape his father whenever the older man starts being belligerent) to crash at his friendsβ couches or just stay out on the streets before returning back.
α ³ 2002 / adrian leaves home permanently a few months before his 15th birthday, forcing him to rely on various methods to survive, such as crashing on friendsβ couches or occasionally breaking into abandoned units for a place to sleep.
he relied on criminal tactics, such as picking pockets, shoplifting, breaking into cars, etc, in order to gather necessary resources. around september, adrian ends up being recruited to the hcf, selected due to his youth and that no one would miss him. knowing that he would have to deal with the coming winter, adrian takes his chance and joins the hcf.
he gains a reputation for picking up skills quickly though his attitude was notorious, especially for older authority figures.
α ³ 2003 / adrian is taken as krauserβs student, which no doubt saved him from being booted out of the paramilitary organization.
α ³ 2004 / adrian is sent to spain along with krauser to work with saddler and the los illuminados. there he is reunited with leon kennedy and occasionally aids him behind the scenes.
while in spain, adrian is injected with a plaga but due to his bodyβs high immunity, the plaga is rejected. however, his body was still able to absorb a bit of the plaga, further strengthening his bodyβs resistance to parasites. he returns to the HCF with krauserβs body.
after krauserβs death, adrian takes up the bow as his primary weapon full-time.
α ³ 2008 / a botched job landed adrian in the BSAAβs custody. they gave him a choice, willingly give them information regarding his organization and he wonβt go to prison for all of his crimes. he takes up their offer.

There he is,Β reevaluating the convoluted string of life choices that in the end led him onto the path,Β where he has to argue with some rascal half his age.Β Another reason why he shouldβve listened to the call telling him not to come here.Β Staring at the other,Β gloved hands swiftly go over the pockets and pouches,Β checking whether anythingβs missingΒ (Β he mightβve known the boy for a few seconds,Β but he wouldnβt be surprised if he woke up to his gun goneΒ ).

when the man checked his pockets and pouches, adrian openly rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue at the older man, any bit of amusement that had been on his face previously was gone. "i didn't take nothing." granted, he was tempted and it only never happened because the cop actually woke up. still, it just only proves that this man was like the other grown ups.
fixing up one of his coat sleeves, it's obvious that the coat and other bits of clothes he was wearing were too big for him. standing back onto his feet, there was another roll of his eyes when the cop commented on to not be wandering around, though this time it was emphasized with a small snort.
leon, a dumb name for a dumb cop, certainly fits. "adrian." now that the cop was up and about, maybe he should go back to claire to let her know that the guy was okay. though the man looks like he gets himself in trouble easily enough, so maybe he should stick around a bit more just to make sure that he doesn't do something dumb like become a meal for the occupants in the sewer.
"you better keep up old man, i'm not gonna look after you all the time." with that, he takes off down the hall.

a supernova is a large explosion that takes place at the end of a star's life cycle. it's big, bright and beautiful, although quite sad. if you got this result, i wanna tell you that even if trauma still haunts you- even if you have scars, either on your skin or on your soul, you're still wonderful. you still shine, you're the most incredible work of art in the entire universe. give yourself more credit for all the stuff you've gone through, okay? i'm gonna speak for everyone and thank you for letting us be part of your life.
