idk why some people get angry when you say that part of sam and john beefing was about dean's loyalty ?? I'm not saying that's the sole reason - it's not - but it's one of the reasons, like, very clearly. sam gets annoyed at dean for following dad's orders without thinking, for ultimately choosing dad over him in every situation

how in 1.22 devil's trap sam just completely skips over john's body to go check on dean, and then dean just tells him to go check on dad. it's clear sam's priority is dean.

i am not saying he doesn't love john, he definitely does in a way. and I'm not saying part of john's problem with sam is about dean's loyalty (bc I don't think he even thought he could lose it), but to sam it was.
