Lines Wanted
Lines wanted for one on one play. Third person prose.
Examples available upon request.
- They're a recently married couple, and although he's a divorced father of one with a slight age gap between them, they remain happily in love.
Besides from his difficult ex-wife, there's only one thing that gets in the way of their blissfully happy life. Her multiple personality disorder.
I'd love to brainstorm more on this, and explore what her other personalities can be. Although this line has lots of potential for fluff, I want to touch on aspects of the darker side of her disorder and the strain on their relationship.
- He's a semi-successful graphic novelist who found a small amount of cult fame in the 90's, she's a super successful college graduate who's just landed her dream job and seems to have her life completely together.
They meet in a bar one night, and then she asks him to take her home and tie her up.
I'd like to play out a BDSM relationship between an unlikely May/December couple. She seems to have it all, but is damaged goods, he's embraced himself as a failure and is unlikely to change.
I'd like equal parts smut and plot, i'd love for this to turn in to a dark slow burning love story.
I would love to use Bob Odenkirk for this line, but if you're not in to that we can discuss other PB's
- She's in her early 40's and has experienced some sort of personal or work set back in life, that has seen her forced to move back to the suburbs and lodge with her parents. He's the neighbour next door, in a similar position, but in his mid 20's.
These two strike up an unlikely friendship, and whilst trying to work through their issues romance ensues.
I would love to play a young Jason Schwartzman, Cole Sprouse or Joe Keery for this opposite either, Rashida Jones, Jenna Fischer or Kristen Wiig
- A pretty straight forward nanny having an affair with her single boss.
- He's a recently windowed MP and she's a younger musician on the way up.
- A modern day line inspired by Hades and Persephone.
- In a post apocalyptic future a man who had lost the will to carrying on living searches for a gun. However instead of finding the thing he wants to end his life, he finds a pregnant young woman who compels him to keep on living.
Would love to use Bob Odenkirk to Steve Carell for this. Either friendship or can develop to romance.
- A young and successful widowed mother ends up taking her relationship with an older less successful friend to the next level. However, her eldest teenage daughter is left livid and is determined to break them up
- Platonic line between a farther and his daughter that he hasn’t seen for a couple of years. For whatever reason she would have to move in with him. Could be played from a number of angles. He could be a deadbeat dad, or maybe she’s been involved with drugs and lost touch with him. I’m up for discussing!
- A line inspired by the Witcher universe where a injured Witcher is taken in by some temple priestesses after being almost ripped apart alive by a vicious beast. One of the young priestess’ falls for him, despite having taken a vow of celibacy.
Or if you have a line of your own you’d like to discuss, come at me :)
