I like to think that the book is on an alternate universe so I don’t have to think about the ‘logics’ in their world. I started scratching my head when I first bought the comic and see Charles as the ‘Prince’ of America and Vladimir being the Prince of Russia when the royal family of Russia has been wiped clean decades ago. And the continuity is another thing that kiiinda bothers me as someone who is trained to be a writer.
I mean, that is one way to look at it.

True. Like why'd they call Charles the 'Prince of America'? He's not really nobility even though he's in I guess the same league as the other princes. And Russia has a royal family?? Like wasn't the entire family wiped out in the early 20th century???
Maybe I'm reading toouch into a children's comic book series but Ciel and Carla are French royals, and France IRL have no royal family, so does this mean that this comic takes place in a world/universe in which both French Revolutions didn't happen or failed??? Or Napoleon III was not overthrown during the Franco-Prussian War?? idk guys what do y'all think?
SPOILER WARNING : In the blurb for the newest comic book, it is said that due to the Australian bushfire, Alex and the princes decided to do something about wildlife conservation. That means that comic book takes place in the year 2020, which either means the series takes place during 2019 and that is our indicator that a year has passed, or the first book takes place in 2015 and 5 years has passed without anyone aging. Either way, this book has terrible continuity.

Okay from the last ask, it kinda makes me want to draw Alex snapping when he finally had enough of everyone's shit. (Now that we know Charles isn't a buddha man, only Alex was left as the only patient and forgiving character in prince series)

Considering how little substance Alex is given by the comic writers, I'm honestly not surprised he hasn't snapped given all the shit he has gone through. He's one of those main characters who you know less than the side characters. We don't know anything about his mom, any friends he may have had before going to Momos, or his grandparents who seem to have no problem with Evan going AWOL on his family for 15 years.
My boy does not get enough credit for the shit he has to endure from all sides; the princes' shit, the princesses shit, the student body's shit, even his own father's shit on occasions. Dude has the patience fuckin Buddha man

Imagine an AU where everything is the same except Alex's naivety is replaced with extreme cynicism. Like at the dinner scene in the first book: "How do you think Ciel looks?" "He reminds me of Louis the 16th".
