About the Status of This Blog
ok this was long overdue but I keep forgetting lolol
I feel like a lot of people have noticed that I am very rarely updating this blog anymore. Well, let me assure you that this blog is not likely to outright die, but unfortunately I no longer have much drive to update it as much anymore, for a few reasons.
First reason is that unless I get a quote straight from a piece of media I’m watching, I rarely see quotes sourced anymore, which makes me a little hesitant to upload them when I don’t even know where they’re from or who I can credit for the joke. This used to be a rare problem, but now I’m extremely lucky if I can get a quote sourced, which has made me not want to update as frequently. Not to mention, it feels like I’ve kinda just...covered all the good jokes I can find. I can’t seem to find as much stuff that I think would be funny or adhere to the characters enough to make the blog.
Second reason is that, for anyone who’s come on here and didn’t know beforehand, this blog was originally created to be a silly thing to supplement my own headcanons for the Vocaloid/Vocalsynth characters for my AU, and I kinda feel over time that maybe it’s...lost that? Just a little. But with the growing follower count who may not really care for the AU that much or barely know anything about it I feel hesitant to add quotes that make reference to it.
Third reason is simply, I no longer just have that much...well, fun updating this blog these days. Maybe it’s tumblr’s user count having drastically lowered over the past couple years and thus notes are a bit scarcer, maybe it’s my own problems getting in the way, idk. But either way, I’m finding myself less bothered to come back to this blog unless I get a good quote or something.
So what am I to do? Well, I’m not deleting this blog or anything, and like I said, I won’t be shutting it down entirely. But just....don’t expect me to come back very often from here on out. I do still post a lot of Vocaloid content (both Vocal Android AU and not-AU), so if you still want to see that you can follow @mikunology instead. But either way, sorry for the lengthy explanation and thank you to everyone for enjoying this blog. I’ve had a real grand time running it and keeping y’all entertained.
