Yoongi heard the whispers and felt the eyes on him. They all knew where he was going and what was going to happen.
The princess had a fight with her husband.
The news spread like a wildfire this morning, reaching Yoongi by the evening. He had just returned from the Queenâs hunt when one of her servants told him to see her in her chambers immediately.
She was furious so they said before wishing him strength.
Yoongi felt nothing as he made his way to the princessâ chambers. He walked this walk a hundred times before. What was to come doesnât faze him anymore. It was the whispers and stares, which never became easier to bear, no matter how often he climbed the stairs to her chambers.
Yoongi knocks twice. He doesnât expect an answer and so he enters.
âYou sent for me Your Highnessâ, he announces himself, falling to his knees in an instance. He places his sword before his knees, keeping his head lowered.

mikey doesn't know when he developed a crush on you, draken's sister, because what the fuck. how would that work out. when did that fucking happen. draken's sister, out of everyone. you're just over a year younger than them and mikey's known you ever since he met draken himself. but it wasn't until he sees how friendly you get with takemichi.
mikey likes takemichi, he's cool with the toman but when he notices the interests that you and takemichi share.
"she's getting a present with takemitchy." draken replies to mikey who asks where you were. they're currently eating at the same restaurant as always.
mikey looks up from his food, the flag still sticking up from the egg. "hm?" he hums out, tilting his head, "why's she with him?"
"uhâ" draken huffs out, tilting his head from across the table, "to get a present? like i said? damn, were you even listening?" he gets irritated when mikey doesn't listen to him. but now he's confused, what's wrong with you being with takemichi?
mikey pouts, pushing his food around the plate. "does she really need to have takemitchy around for those kinda' things?" he grumbles to himself.
that's when draken finds out. he's always been pretty good at reading mikey, though there are times that is hard. but the way his charisma drops after hearing you're out with takemichi, tells him all he needs to know.
he can't say he's surprised, though. draken has always been cautious of leaving the two alone, mikey being pretty friendly and you're excited to talk draken's best friend. you're a nice person, many girls and boys have confessed to you, draken always there as backup.
"if you must know, it's hina's birthday this month." draken says, keeping it hidden that he now knows. he watches the way mikey looks up with slight hope. "they're both getting presents for someone's birthday. i know for a fact she's looking for something for me, she can't fucking hide it well. no need to get so jealous."
mikey scoffs, crossing his arms, "i'm not jealous. just don't want a member of the toman going around causing more trouble."
draken's brow twitches at that. "y/n's a good person. she's not even really a part of the toman, more like an associate." he says, tilting his head. he wonders how long mikey will keep this up for, try to hide it. "and takemitchy doesn't willingly go find problems. they'll be fine."
he's not gonna lie, draken's having a little too much fun seeing mikey get all worked up over you and takemichi. it makes absolutely no sense, mikey should know that takemichi has hina and they are very much so together.
draken spends the next few days just playing this stupid game. when mikey is around, he will send you off to the shops with takemichi to get this whole ass list of shit. over the week, it'll stretch to draken and now mitsuya teasing mikey, unknowingly to the guy.
mitsuya asks you to pick up some things with atsushi/akkun, but won't drive you or get anyone else to drive you. you don't drive a bike because draken drives you everywhere, and also he doesn't want you getting into an accident. mitsuya makes sure mikey is there to hear. akkun will hesitantly agree as he steps further away from mikey.
"um... yeah, okay." akkun says, sharing a look between his group of friends, "just the mechanics store?"
you take the list from mitsuya, who in return ruffles your hair and slings an arm around your neck, pulling you closer. the division captain raises a brow ion mikey direction, who is in fact playing with his hands behind his back as if he wasn't just trying to give you his jacket.
"you look cold, y/n." mitsuya states, tilting his head with a soft smile, "i'd give you my jacketâ"
mikey is about to step forward and intervene when you pluck the paper from mitsuya and walk towards akkun. "i'm fine, we'll be inside the shop for most of the time anyway. we'll be quick." you say, tugging akkun towards your destination, "but thank you, mitsuya!"
the only thing that doesn't throw mikey overboard is when you turn to him. "me and ken are going out to eat for dinner, do you wanna' come with us?" you ask, the same charming smile that makes him blush just that little bit.
"um... yeah, i'll go." he replies, giving a grin.
another time, draken tells you that chifuyu is waiting for you (when in actuality chifuyu is just waiting for any toman member to meet with him, he's told draken he was hungry and that to ask mikey if he wanted to grab a bite, but draken had different ideas), pulling you away from your conversation with mikey.
you were sitting down next to the boss, going on about this project you're working on when draken comes along. mikey can immediately feel the atmosphere take a turn when your brother taps your shoulder.
"chifuyu's expecting you at the musashi temple." draken says, seeing your look over to him, "go meet with him now or he's gonna' get food without you. he's willing to pay." chifuyu really wasn't, but tbh you get free food from most of the toman just for being close to draken and mikey.
you light up at the mention, grabbing your bag and standing up. "really? oooh, i'm excited!" you say, turning to mikey and bowing, "thanks for listening, mikey. it was nice of you let me vent."
mikey lifts his shoulders, grinning at you. "anytime, y/n. i don't mind." he says. it's getting harder to spend time alone with you. and if he's being honest, he's missing you a lot. it's been so limited ever since that time at the restaurant.
you miss the look on his face as you leave. all upset and annoyed by draken and chifuyu.
as you turn the corner, mikey slumps in his seat. "fucking... chifuyu..." he grumbles to himself, looking away.
draken sits down beside him, a knowing smirk. "what's got you all pissy for?" he says, mock confusion.
mikey glances at draken. "i know what you and mitsuya are doing, kenny." he says, giving an irritated smile to the taller guy, "i don't appreciate you guys stealing my time with y/n and handing it over to the others." he crosses his arms over his chest, leaning his chin down.
"and how long are you gonna' keep this 'secret' from y/n?" draken says, getting serious now, "practically all of toman knows you got a thing for my sister, mikey. pretty sure she doesn't know since she hasn't been around you for a good few weeks."
mikey grunts, squinting at draken, "oh, i wonder why that is, kenny."
draken raises a brow. "so you're not denying it?" he speaks, watching as the boss widens his eyes and shrugs his shoulders, "look, mikey. y/n is good. if you want to date her, then i won't stop you."
with that, he stands up and brushes the dirt off his pants. he waits for mikey to follow, looking over his shoulder. when mikey gets the memo, they make their way to the place you and chifuyu would be eating at. it's time they finish their game.
"oh! mikey, ken!" you call as they enter the place, waving your hand at them, "over here!"
as they walk closer, mikey feels relief wash over him when he sees that mitsuyu has brought over hina and takemichi along, so it wasn't just you and chifuyu.
the two greet the table of five. "go find a seat, i'll order." draken says to mikey before leaving.
"i guess you're not sitting with us." mitsuya shrugs off, sipping his drink. he knows what draken is playing at. "there's a two seat table outside the front though." the rest of the restaurant was filled.
mikey decides not to fight it, joking about it and seating himself outside.
the entrance opens and mikey waits for draken to sit down. but then the food is sat down in front of him and he looks from the small flag on his food to you, sitting across from him.
"oh... y/n." he says, suddenly sitting up straight, "i though you were going to eat in there."
"ken took my spot, actually." you chuckle, picking up your drink, "and i, um... we haven't spent a lot of time together."
mikey feels his cheeks burn before covering it with a smirk. "oh? missing me that much?" he jokes, leaning his chin in his hand, leaning toward you.
you smile gently, looking down at your drink for a moment. you sigh, "yeah, actually. kinda' annoyed by ken and mitsuya, they keep splitting us up." you roll your eyes. "do you think they're doing it on purpose?"

you blink at him, unconsciously smiling at the idea. "yeah, that be great." you respond, "but ken will be expecting me home before midnight."

after eating, you two both go on your way. when you turn the corner, mikey gives one last look to the restaurant before slipping his hand into yours. you look towards him.
