Now, you may be thinking, "why are there so many Indiana Jones baseball player bobbleheads in the world", and frankly, I am right there with you.
But we're not done.
Just as a little cherry on top (this isn't a hat post), apparently Topps (unless... hats... top... Topps?) put out a "throwback" series of cards with several historic baseball players... on the 1981 Raiders trading cards layout.
Who knows...
In a thousand years, even these may be worth something.
So like, did I miss all the happening back in 2023 when the last movie came out or did Lucasfilm realize almost two years later that a short lived third action figure line and an even shorter lived second LEGO line was proportionally less licensed merchandise to generate income from than what they had 44 years ago for Raiders of the Lost Ark, let alone everything 17 years ago for KotCS and decide to scramble to get more money?
Yeah, I think all of these promos happened back in 2023! Although I only saw one, sort of, in passing at the time. I don't follow sports enough to know all the details but apparently Lucasfilm regularly does baseball crossover promotions and they are reportedly very popular. As for the Topps card I assume it's an attempt at self-cross-promotion with their existing licensing tie-ins.
