Chapter 6 take that came to me in a dream

The chapter 3 boss fight with Tenna is so interesting to me because Tenna is the first boss who seriously doesn't want to hurt the heroes, and this is reflected in the music.

Like there's never any question that the King wants the heroes dead, and Queen likes them and wants them to join her, but when they make it clear that's not gonna happen, she doesn't hesitate to take the kid gloves off.

But Tenna doesn't want the heroes dead. He needs them, he needs their attention and validation. More than that, he sees himself as part of Kris's family. He's desperate enough to kidnap them and force them to play, and even do a lot of damage, but I think it's very telling that he heals you on the Board of Doom.

(And for what it's worth, Tenna is the only boss I was able to beat first try. I'm really bad at dodging Bullets, guys. But I feel like this supports my Tenna-Doesn't-Want-To-Hurt-You point)

As for how the music supports this, Tenna's boss theme, "It's TV Time!", feels a lot more frantic than the "Chaos King" and "Knock You Down" battle themes, but also a lot more upbeat, and, well, FUN.

Like Queen's battle theme is a bop but also it sounds like she is doing her best to beat you into the ground.

And I think it just goes to show, Tenna is in the midst of a mental breakdown, he's making awful decisions out of desperation, but he still cares about Kris and their friends. He wants them to have fun, even as he's battling them.
